It opens to the dimensional border. Ruby's Order seeks anything which is an unauthorised opening out of the dimension. The wall allows someone to leave the dimension; this is unauthorised; the wall repairs itself.

They're not seeing the same thing. The wall is fine in Soren's room.
He's not consciously repairing it. It's a natural result of what they're doing for the dimension. The wall is part of the dimensional borders, so the wall will fix itself whenever it is broken.
