Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

The wild Patrat took immediate notice of Malcolm and his Pokemon. He watched carefully as Malcolm started to cook. As the smell became stronger, he found himself walking toward it. It was drawing him in and becoming the only thing he could think about. His belly grumbled with each passing step.
Any thoughts?
Hello fellow writers!

I am actively recruiting for a new Pokemon themed roleplay that has already started, called "Pokemon: Earth".

The idea here is simple but captivating. What would it REALLY be like if Pokemon were here on Earth?

We're not talking about some magical event that brought Pokemon to our world (I've tried that before. It never went anywhere.) What we're talking about here is, "What if Pokemon had been around the whole time?" Basically, this is a perfect fusion of the Pokemon world and our own. There are gyms, contests, and pretty much all the things seen in the anime. Accept they are combined with real-life, here on Earth.

If you have any questions or ideas that would make this RP better for YOU, please let me know.

You can check out the RP here: https://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/178148-pokemon-earth/ooc

You can also ask @jeroukoo what he thinks of the RP, from a player's/writer's perspective.
@Balthazar007

Awesome, I'll slowly start to make a CS for that character. If someone else doesn't join by the time I'm done, I'll just roleplay both characters, with Malcolm probably just being one liners until someone comes across his path.

As you like my friend. As you like. :)

Not very many people were on the sidewalks as Malcolm walked to the restaurant where he would be working this evening. The manager said his shift would start as soon as he could get there, and to be no later than 3pm if at all possible. This wasn't a problem. Malcolm only spent 45 minutes at the library. It was almost 12 now, and it would only take 20 minutes to walk there.

Halfway through his walk, underneath a train track bridge, Malcolm spotted a lonely looking Patrat. It seemed cold, hungry, and lost, probably separated from its family.

(OOC Note: I moved Malcolm's marker on the map, to show where this Patrat encounter occurs in the real world. You can use satellite view to see the area for yourself.)

Also quick question, for another character I wanted to create.

Are there shadow pokemon in this world (Like the pokemon from Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness?) I think I'm gonna go with a future keeper of a Pokemon Shrine, or if there is only one Shrine the world, THE pokemon shrine haha. Just lemme know!

Hmm, I don't see why not. And if we do that, I think there should be one shrine on every continent. I might even add to the lore of shrines, if it adds to our story.
EDIT:
Maybe we should try and advertise in the interest check section? That might draw in more people.

Yeah, I'm going to post in the Interest Check section.
@jeroukoo

So I get that Malcolm thinks trainers have to battle and do gyms and stuff, and that's why he's reluctant to become a trainer like his father. But you as the writer understand that this isn't the case right? He could literally not do one single gym battle and still be a fine trainer. He could focus on other things like rescuing Pokemon, taking odd jobs for trainers only, and things along those lines.
"Alright, construction it is. Hopefully it's not too far of a walk..."

Before heading off to the construction site, Malcolm thought it best to give the number on the add a call. It was a good thing he did, because the man who posted the add said that they wouldn't be working today. "I have things to do with the family this weekend. We'll be back at it Monday, weather permitting."

After checking on the other odd jobs, the only thing that Malcolm could confirm for today was a dishwasher job at a local dive bar. Apparently, they were short staffed in the kitchen. They were offering $8 an hour, cash in hand, to work tonight and tomorrow night. At least the job would be out of the cold.
@jeroukoo

Question, does Malcolm have a pre-paid cell phone? I would assume that he would like to call the number listed on the help wanted construction add, before just walking over to the address.
