Hey, I'm interested in joining (hopefully as some sort of British Hero, Union Jack, Captain Britain, something like that), so are you still accepting people and if so, can I play some sort of Brit?

Is this RP still accepting characters? If so, is there a role that needs filled?

I've played Rogue Trader before (though not as much as I'd like) and have a pretty good knowledge of 40k in general.

Man, that's blatant. I consider myself pretty damn liberal but the way that Sorkin's liberal philosophy is shoved down the viewer's throat is probably the most annoying thing about the West Wing. A couple of scenes where a republican is just publicly humiliated by one of the main characters really stank of "look how they can do no wrong!".

Yeah, that and long unbroken shots of people walking and talking. I imagine his pushing of his own political views through his characters is also present in all of his shows?

I've never watched a full episode of it but I understand a lot of it is on an island.

The only other one I can think of is Thunderbirds and I doubt your watching that.

And the West Wing isn't a guilty pleasure, it's genuinely clever and has a charming cast. Too bad it's repetitive and really, really, really long.

I'm not offended, not at all, sorry if I sounded like I am. If anything, I'm disappointed that my writing missed the mark and made the character cause the wrong impression, or at least not the impression I wanted it to cause. Personally, I still don't quite see him as creepy but then I'm obviously biased. Though I am interested you find a gossipy flirt creepy, that's just not the word that would occur to me when describing one.

If the uncle thing is that odd to most people, I'll consider changing it, it was only something I thought about in those terms right as I got to the end. In Britain and in France, it's not really that weird.
