Jason entered the room the husk was in. He was inspecting the runes. "That 'thing' is my only family left. He is a construct, mechanical creature powered and infused with magic. His name is Victor and he is exploring." Jason took a closer look at the runes when he heard the noise Victor made followed by a question from Sara. "That sound means he found a path and is checking it out. I usually let him be on his own because alot of things don't bother him. Most hostile creatures ignore him. He doesn't really have a scent and his doesn't have any blood or a heart beat. He is made of metal so mst creatures that takes a bite at him immediately regret the taste in their mouth. He is also a backpack to help carry things. I created him to help me." He stood up and looked at Sara. "Impressive...isn't he?"

The construct victor continued to explore the room he found under the pit. He was looking for anything interesting.
@Kelewen

In you post describing the room. Is that what Jason sees? Just making sure cuz the construct is moving into the room below the pit.

Also, the runes said to inscribe the likeness of bear warriors, are they statues or just runes giving a description of the bear warriors?
Jason looked back at Sara. "I'm debating it." He whispered. He followed down the staircase rather slowly. He moved far enough just to get a better view of the room to see if it was a dead end.

The construct would move into the room underneath the pit to look for anything interesting. Before moving on the though, it made a strange metal clicking noise and moved on.

When Jason saw the body that resembled the husk, he looked at Sara and put a finget over his lip to indicate they needed to be silent. He wasn't sure if it was dead or not and didn't plan on finding out the hard way.
The construct is taking the stairs closest to the pit. Jason is taking the stairs right after that
Jason looked at Sara. He noticed the dead bodies on the floor and quickly got in front of her. He drew his short sword and pulled out a refined dagger and handed it to Sara. "Just in case." The construct walked up to the bodies and poked at them with its metal legs. Jason wasn't worried about the construct. It was made of metal so if they did get up and attack it, it would be fine. After they were sure the bodies were dead. The construct walked up to the first hallway closest to the pit entrance and walked through slowly. It wasn't walking on the floor though. It was on the ceiling. Jason turned to Sara. "I said you could come with me when I leave the island, not on suicide missions. Jason approached the hallway a little farther from the pit entrance and looked down into it. He was careful not to enter the stair case.

The construct noted the area. It noticed the daggers and walked up to them. It tapped one of its legs notifying Jason what it found. It's form easily allowing it to move through the trap. Being it was designed to be like a backpack. It had several slots to place the daggers. It picked them up and placed them safely. It crawled back up to Jason and clipped back onto his pack. It's legs wrapped around froming his backpack once more. Jason looked at Sara. "I know what I'm doing. Do you? What combat skills do you posses that would allow you to fight the beast if you found it? How about magic? A sword or bow perhaps?" Jason waited several seconds. "I don't mean to be rude but I don't want you getting hurt."

Jason faced the pit and noticed the hall on the other side. "Let's try this out." The construct clung to the wall. Jason hugged the wall as he moved across the pit. He held onto the construct which had its legs clung to the wall. If he slipped then the construct would keep him from falling.
Jason heard Sara's whisper. He looked back. "Leave here. This place could be dangerous." Hu turned around and looked at the mural and pit. He kneeled down and extended his arm. His pack sprung to life revealing itslef to be a construct mimicing a giant spider. "Go down that pit. It looks like a trap. See of there is anything valuable there. You can see much better than I can anyway." The giant spider like construct began to head down the pit. It's legs allowing to cling to the sides so it wouldn't fall. It's best quality was its ability to traverse most terrain. It would search the pit for anything that looked interesting. If it noticed any creature lurking below, it would silenty move back to Jason. As the construct moved down, Jason stood up and moved back toward the mural. He studied it well. He hoped his knowledge in architecture would allow him to find out what made it. He place his hand against the mural to feel what it was made of in going to gain a clue.
Jason got off of his horse and looked around. "Well damn it's dark." He said as he squeezed through the small crevice. "Nothing a simple spell can't fix." It only took moments for Jason to cast a spell and soon the dark became clear. "Darkvision. A transmutation spell that allows one to see sixty feet out in dark. Unless I come across magic darkness I'll be fine." Jason took a deep breath and ventured forth.
Jason was walking off to find a place to rest when a thought suddenly stopped him. "It burst into mist. The stories say it will come back. It would have to have a place to regenerate or something." His face went from an exhausted look to a serious one. "The man I spoke to when I got off the boat mentioned that Leofwine and the others went off to search for something. They were gone for awhile. They had to have found something." Jason immediately wandered to find Leofwine. "You ventured out with the group earlier. You left a find something and were gone for awhile. Point me in the direction or give me details of where to go." After the Lord gave details to Jason, Jason began to walk off. "If it is able to come back then there has to a place where it heals after death. If we find it then. Maybe we can kill it for good." Jason left the building quickly and hopped onto a horse to head where leofwine and the others explored.
Sounds cool. What do we do?
