Jason held his sword tight in hand. He motioned for Sara to stay still. The construct began climbing up the ledge to see what it was. Jason made it out of metal after all. It could take harder hits than Jason could.

Jason examined the room and sighed when he heard Sara. "There is a spell that allows one to read the memories of others. I was hoping that snake might have the memories to this place. The husk it was in looked rather old. Maybe it could have shown us how to unlock it's secrets." Jason looked back at his arm. "As for the poison. It was too late to get it all the moment you stopped trying to suck the poison out. I have examined the bite. Only healing magic will stop the affliction. I don't know healing spells. One of the few schools I didn't have an interest in." Jason noted the twigs by the entrance. "Hide..now." Jason whispered. Jason waited for Sara to get into a hidig position and then called out loud. "There isn't any point in hiding. I know your there." Jason motioned for Sara to stay hidened.
Jason watched Sara's rather quick actions. He felt a little awkward when she started sucking out the poison. "Thanks. Although." He said looking at the dead snake. "I was hoping to keep it alive. It could have been the key to this place." He stood up and noticed a strange feeling in his arm. He wouldn't tell Sara. He couldn't do that to her. Jason could tell what was happening to his arm. "I guess I should start studying this place." Jason examined the room. "A simple cantrip will do the trick." Jason focused and cast the spell 'detect magic'. If this place had magic in it that was still present or needed magic to do something then Jason would know.
Jason was beginning to stand up believing the serpent was done for. He watched as Sara walked over to him. He gave her a smile until he saw the serpent still moving as it tried to strike. He shoved her out of the way causing the serpent to bite Jason's right arm. Jason grunted in pain as he grabbed the serpent and began to his arm as well as the serpent against the stone floor hoping to end it.
Sounds good.
Jason got wide eyed as he saw the snake lunge at Sara. He knew he wasn't going to be quick enough to stop it.
However, Sara wasn't alone. The construct jumped and tackled the serpent and tried to pin it in place knowing it would be difficult to hold a serpent. Jason quickly tried to cast another spell on the serpent as it was being blocked by the construct. Jason cast the spell deep slumber to try and put the serpent to sleep. Even if the construct was caught by the spell as well it wouldn't sleep. It was a construct and technically couldn't sleep anyway.
However, Sara wasn't alone. The construct jumped and tackled the serpent and tried to pin it in place knowing it would be difficult to hold a serpent. Jason quickly tried to cast another spell on the serpent as it was being blocked by the construct. Jason cast the spell deep slumber to try and put the serpent to sleep. Even if the construct was caught by the spell as well it wouldn't sleep. It was a construct and technically couldn't sleep anyway.

Jason was examing the room from top to bottom. He kneeled down and looked at everything around him. "Could the wolf symbolize the hellhound? Maybe all this is the setup to some kind of ritual or summoning-". He stopped when he heard something moving behind him. He turned in time to see the creature lunge at him and tried to move bit was not quick enough to escape. The husk was able to claw Jason's chest causing him to gruny in pain and fall onto the floor with the snake skins. He crawled back abit and casted the Spell magic missile. An attack spell of pure magic. He was hoping to kill it before it could do anymore damage.

Jason sighed. "That may be better for." He said as he examined the runes and remembered the description by note. Jason heard ticking noise coming up behind him and Sara. He didn't seem to care because it was Victor entering the room. Victor ran up and attached to Jason's back. "Well we have two paths left." Jason walked out of the room he was in and turned away from the pit entrance. There was a straightaway and a Hall that turned straight. Victor jumped off Jason's back and proceeded through the Hall way to the right. "Looks like I'll go straight." He turned to Sara. "Do you want to accompany Victor? I can head straight and examine what's in there. You said you could handle yourself right?"
