Blue Demon || Female || Older || Ace

I go by Blue, Demon or BD. Or even Hey You if it's clear enough that you're talking to me. XD I prefer Blue or Blue Demon. And no, I didn't choose "Blue" because I'm sad. It's my favorite color. (And now you know.)

The female Reaper stood as the form of death became apparent through the mist. The book in her pocket burned with the knowledge she was missing souls. However she shoved down the impulse to run off and find said souls. This was more important. She took a step forward as he voice boomed through the small corridor of bones. Even as he fellow Reapers stayed in their place, in awe of the fact that Death rode once again among the living. Not everyone had believed it could work. Even she hadn't hoped, if she could have still felt such a thing.

"I have." She said plainly. Her speech not overly flowery like it once was.

"It was necessary." Another Reaper added.

"It was time." A third said.

"We need you." The fourth summed it all up. For this was all about need. Need in order to do their job better, the thing they were created for. The crowd of Reapers stood and waited to see what would happen next. Would Death be displeased? Or would he grant their wish of a smaller human population? Would he even care? But worry was not something any of them felt. Neither was fear. So they waited to see what would happen. If their plans failed, well, they had more plans. One of them included binding Death to their will. To do his job.
A woman in a business suit walked down a crowded street blending in perfectly with the other men and women attired in similar clothing. She wouldn't have been any different that anyone else. Until the little things began to pile up. For instance, as she walked through the foot traffic, she didn't have to weave in and out of people. Instead she just walked through them. The other would be that her red hair didn't move in the breeze. No, it stayed artfully placed down her back. Then there was the fact that no one noticed her as they walked. Not one soul. Well, that's not true. One did notice her. And indeed, he was a soul.

He ran through people too, causing them to shiver and look around or walk faster. His grey hair stood on end. His feet were bare, for he had died without them. The redheaded woman was easily able to keep up despite the fact he was running and she was not. For the normal rules did not apply here. He was dead and she was a reaper. And she had no time to spend hunting down souls, there were far too many as it was. She reached out and snagged his arm. He struggled and cried for help, but no one heard him and he couldn't stop her.

"Shut up." The Reaper said as she waved her free hand and a door appeared.

The man she held in her grip stilled. "What, why..." He whimpered. The woman ignored him. She opened the door and shoved him through. Then she pulled out a day planner and marked his name off. She then looked at the next name and sighed. Too many. There was just too many and not enough of them. She watched as another soul spotted her and took off running. She ignored it instead looking for the next on her list. It was not as it always was. Once, Death walked the lands and the humans were more manageable. Now neither of those facts were true. Though one of those would change on the night of the new moon.

The Reaper walked off to continue her job. Once everything was gathered, Death would ride again. As the night approached the woman Reaper and her follow Reapers prepared. It would be she who would do the ritual to raise Death. It needed to be her according to the rules. So on the night of the new moon she stood in the greatest congregation of Death, the Paris underground catacombs. A place where old death and new death touched. She laid out the ritual devices in the oldest corridor and spoke the words of power. Fog rose from the ground obscuring the world. The woman raised her voice and called aloud the last words of the incantation and waited.
Name: Penny Stone
Age: 675 (Born 1368)
Gender: Female
Race: Reaper
Appearance:

Physical Description: She is taller than most back in her own time, reaching five foot six. However now she's just average height for a woman. She has long red hair and pale skin. Physically she looks like she is twenty five years old.

Personality: Before Dying- Penny was a lively and energetic young woman. She loved to smile and laugh even though her life wasn't the best. She was quick to anger but she was also quick to forgive. She loved Death with a passion. But then again she was a passionate woman. Most people thought it was just a passing fancy. Penny always wanted to see the world but since she was nothing but a simple farmer's girl, she was bound to be wed when she turned of age.

After Dying- Penny became a Reaper and all Reapers have limited emotions. She's now a calm and cool woman. She doesn't love anything nor does she have any compassion. She just wants to do her job and do it well. Though she does get annoyed, mainly because of the over abundance of souls and the fact that there's not enough Reapers to keep the souls in check.

History: Penny was the youngest child. Her moth died after child birth. Her father was a stern man and never had much love in him. Penny seemed to have to make up for it. Her older brothers were always protective of her because of their father's apathy. She meet Death as a young girl and quickly became infatuated in only a way a child can. She wanted to marry him, for he carried the promise of a life off a farm. However she was married off to an older man by her fifteenth birthday. He died shortly after to the plague. She was a widow by fifteen. She was passed back over to her husband's brother to take care of. His name was Jacob and his wife Faith. They had two children her age and she lived happily on their farm for a while. She was married off again by the age of seventeen and he too died. He fell of his horse working his field and broke his neck. After that no one wanted to marry her calling her cursed. They tossed her out of the village. By that time she was nineteen. By the age twenty she had her own farm and house and was quite content.

By the age twenty four, her health was failing. By the time the next year rolled around she had died. Death however made her a Reaper to keep her in the world. After Death was sealed away with the other Horsemen Penny slowly forgot her own name and just focused solely on her job.

Skills: Doing her job well. Increased control over the spirit world. Some supernatural abilities.

And in other news, this thread is now closed. Thank you.
Open again and searching. :D
Shigetoshi changed money and did the proper receipts and everything, even though they couldn't be read by the foreigners. The smiles the man was giving him made him warm, but having Tatsuki stand there, pretty much left him confused and unhappy. Even when the foreigners left to go to their room and Tatsuki smiled at him. He forced himself to smile back and to respond.

"It'll be fine. It's not like there's much custom to an Inn way out here." Shigetoshi straightened up the counter so he wouldn't have to look Tatsuki in the face. "Thank you for helping me." The words were hard to get out. He owned Tatsuki much more now. How much more would Shigetoshi owe him before he finally left?

With that pleasant thought in his head Shigetoshi bowed and said something about cleaning and food. He wasn't sure if it made sense but he hurried away anyways needing to escape. If Tatsuki followed or said anything else to him, he didn't hear, or want to hear. He shut himself in his room and knelt down before the picture of his parents.

"Mom, Dad. I wish you were here. I don't know what to do." Of course there was no answer, there never was. After a few minutes he stood up after bowing. The Inn wasn't going to run itself. There truly was cleaning and food to prepare. For a brief moment he remembered he had skipped breakfast, but the thought pushed aside by the thought that he needed to get lunch ready.
Are you still looking and would not being able to post twice a day be a deal breaker?
I don't know how well it'd do with just the three of us. But I guess it's up to you in the end.
Shigetoshi was quite frankly on the verge of refusing them service when Tatsuki appeared from nowhere. The younger man talked to the foreigners in their own language. Or at least the Asian assumed it was, it sounded like it. Then again, whatever language they were speaking was really flat and nasally. Though with the way Tatsuki ignored Shigetoshi, it was apparent to the Innkeeper that the younger man wasn't too happy with him. It was probably the after effect of what had happened in the kitchen. So even when Tatsuki turned around to translate, Shigetoshi couldn't feel relief.

Shigetoshi quickly drew up a receipt and wrote down what he was told. All the while he avoided eye contact with his older guest but made sure to smile at the new ones. One of the men, the one not with the woman, smiled back, when no one was looking, in a way that made him blush. Hopefully no one really noticed the cause for it. When he was finished he gave the amount to be paid to Tatsuki and also the same information he gave all guest upon arriving.

"Let them know that there will be a sleeping kimono provided for each of them in the room, along with shoes and a day kimono. If anything doesn't fit have them let me know. Also that the cost of food is covered by the room cost." Those who helped make food had a slight discount applied at the end. Shigetoshi doubted that any of the foreigners would be able to help make any food for the guests, lack of proper communication and all.

"And if they should require anything extra to let me know." Not that he'd probably understand, but he wouldn't make Tatsuki do it without his permission. Plus it'd put a huge kink in Shigetoshi's avoidance plan.
I'm still interested. But quite busy at the moment. :)
