About

Blue Demon || Female || Older || Ace

I go by Blue, Demon or BD. Or even Hey You if it's clear enough that you're talking to me. XD I prefer Blue or Blue Demon. And no, I didn't choose "Blue" because I'm sad. It's my favorite color. (And now you know.)

Also, I just discovered DMC and now I'm Dante trash.

I figure a lot of them should be NPCs that we share as the occasion calls for it. Are we just POV'ing this from the Malazan perspective?
Sounds good to me.
The beginning of the Genabackis was never stated in the books. It could be anywhere from 1150-1154. It is for sure that in 1154 (towards the end of the year) Surly/Laseen assassinated the Emperor. At which point she fully launched the campaign into Genabackis and restructured the army. One of the most notable things she did was promote Dujek Onearm and demote Whiskeyjack. It is known that the first place they attacked was Genabaris, a port city. Making it their main base of operations.

by 1161 The Malazan army wasn't making anymore headway. The 2nd army was stuck outside Pale. The 5th was in the Blackdog Forest.

In 1163 they defeated the armies at Pale. The High Fist at this point merged all the 2nd and 6th into the 5th army.

Soldiers from the Free Cities

The Crimson Guard
The Crimson Guard were a mercenary company stationed on the continent of Genabackis and commanded by the deposed Prince K'azz D'Avore. This force handed the Malazan Empire its first major defeat, successfully defending Stratem from invasion. The Guard opposed the Malazan Empire on four continents. They wore a silver dragon sigil and crimson cloaks and their native tongue was Talian.

The Crimson Guard were called Isturé or Isturé Forlan Edegashby by the Thaumaturg.

The Crimson Guard was divided into four companies, each of which contained a number of "blades" or squads.

The Free Cities

The Free Cities were originally a trade alliance of twelve (according to Baruk) to fourteen (based on maps and glossaries) cities located on the continent of Genabackis. Itkovian claimed the independent city-states had been forced into a confederacy of sorts in response to the invasion of the Malazan Empire. At the start of Gardens of the Moon ten of the cities had been conquered by the Malazans with only Pale and Darujhistan left free. With the fall of Pale the alliance effectively ceased to exist.

Apple – Situated along the north east coast north of Tulips - Apple is listed on the UK paperback edition map of Genabackis in 'Gardens of the Moon' but not marked as a Free City
Cajale – To the east of Owndos Sea (Lake Blued)
Darujhistan - Inland, on the southern shores of Lake Azur along the Rhivi Trail
Evinor – Northeast of the Free City Plain - called Evine on the coloured version of the map
Ganiss – Northwest of the Free City Plain
Genalle – Southwest of the Free City Plain
Garalt – is not listed on the map of Genabackis
Hoop – North of the Free City Plain
Nisst – is not listed on the map of Genabackis
One Eye Cat – Inland, east of Yend and north of the One Eye Mountains
Pale – Inland, north of the Tahlyn Mountains and Lake Azur. It was also along the Rhivi Trail
Porule - not listed on the maps of Genabackis but a Porule River is mentioned as being located north of mountains, fifteen hundred leagues to the east of Pale
Sogena – Inland, on the River Sogen - appears as Suyema on the coloured version of the map
Tulips – On the eastern coast, north of Crest Bay and Harbinger Peninsula - there seems to be a discrepancy between map and text within books as to the location. This may be why Tulips was omitted from the amended map published in Memories of Ice.

The last one I read was the prequel Dancer's Lament. Which I must say I'm eagerly awaiting book two. November is too far away. DX

That said, it's been a while since I've read the main series, but I'm sure with a little internet searching and pulling out my paperbacks, I can get back up to snuff. Would you like to discuss something in PMs?
Malazan

Mannnnnnn.

I love those books.
Thanks for stopping by. I have a few people already talking to me so I'm closing this temporarily.

Ello! I've recently returned from my hiatus and I'm looking for something to ease me back into the habit of RP'ing. That said, I am out of habit so replies will most likely be spotty unintentionally. I currently have a bit of free time this month so replies will be more frequent but as we head into the winter months they'll be less frequent.

I typically write at an advanced level (with some errors every now and then. I'm only human) but I'm looking for something more on the casual side. That is not to say that I'm looking for one liners or even a paragraph.

Genres I'm currently feeling are:
Fantasy (elves, dragons, etc)
War
Superheroes
Mystery/horror* I do have a plot for this one
Wheel of Time based

Despite this being a 1x1 I do NOT do smut or stories that feature heavy romance. Some is fine but I'm Ace and it's not something that interests me. So if that's something you're interested in I'm not these partner for you.

Like what you see? Cool. Either PM me, mention me here or just leave me a reply. I'll get back to you soon.
