@Landaus Five-One That's really nice to know ^//_//^ I'm gonna keep writing him, that's for sure! XD
@Gilgex XD thank you very much ^_^
After everything calmed down, Carmen looked angrily to Kevante. "There was nothing there." She said, groaning a bit. "It was a distraction."

"Sh*t." Kevante groaned. "C'mon... lets report back to him, and lets see if he's got anything else for us." He said.

Carmen nodded. "Let's just hope that he doesn't chew us out, and literally with one of his damn creations..." Carmen said, shifting the Dodge Charger into gear, drifting out from the parking space and heading down the city and towards The Hood.

Dr. Chaos looked at his creation. "You are such a work of ART!!!" He cried out, pleased with himself, and what he has worked on. "You are Thunderchicken, and you shall be the terror of my foes! You shall unleash the wrath of your energy upon my enemies, and you shall become the most powerful bird in the UNIVERSE!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!"

There was a knock on the door. A familiar voice came from the other side. "Hey, am I interrupting anything?"

Dr. Chaos twisted towards the door, almost breaking his spine in the process. "Oh! Carmen! Is Kevante with you?"

"Right here, boss!" Kevante called out from the other side of the door.

"Come on in! I've just finished my latest experiment! You should check it out!" Dr. Chaos said, putting on a pair of electrical gloves while the door to his lab was being unlocked.

Carmen entered the lab, swinging to the door happily. "What's up, Doc-" She was then interrupted by Dr. Chaos shouting "THUNDERCHICKEN, GO!!!" and a chick flying straight at her face at a ballistic speed. "SH*T!" Carmen yelped, using her super-reflexes to dodge the chick, which ended up going behind her and landed on Kevante's chest, bouncing off of him and giving him a light zap.

"Ah! Hey!" Kevante called out after he was zapped, avoiding the chick that was now on the ground.

"So... how do you like my new experiment?" Dr. chaos asked with almost puppy-dog like eyes, looking to his only two sources of protection and retrieval.

"Uhm..." Kevante looked to the chick, that was now walking back into the lab. "Alright... I guess?"

"Thunderchicken, huh? Sounds like a failed TV-pilot that's already dead on arrival." Carmen said with a soft smirk, looking to the chick and then to Dr. Chaos, shutting the door behind her. "And I regret to inform you that the shipment was a decoy."

Dr. Chaos frowned a little. "I feared as much. These simple drug peddlers that plague this city fear my SCIENTIFIC BRILLIANCE!!!"

"I think it's more along the lines that they won't want to get caught by the cops, and they don't want to get attacked by competing drug dealers." Carmen explained simply.

Dr. Chaos frowned. "Oh." He said softly.

"But yeah... the shipment that we hit was a decoy to draw attention away from the police. Smart idea. Whomever we're dealing with is one smart *ss motherf*cker." Carmen said before immediately correcting herself. "Not as smart as you, of course..." She said nervously.

"Carmen, my sweet... you don't have to worry about offending me. You may be dimmer than I am, but you have such a big, warm heart... that I should use it for an experiment on cybernetics!" Dr. Chaos said cheerily.

Carmen chuckled. "Thanks Doc, but I'm fine with keeping my heart for now." She said with a chuckle. "Maybe later."

Dr. Chaos nodded with a smile. "I know. Kevante!"

Kevante looked up from his phone, who was texting. "Yes, boss?"

"Keep a lookout outside, I've got a special task for Carmen." Dr. Chaos said.

Kevante nodded. "Of course." He said, exiting the lab, giving Carmen a fist-bump along the way. "See ya later, amiga."

"See ya." Carmen said with a smile before closing and locking the door behind him. She turned to Dr. Chaos.

"I'm assuming he's off limits too?" Dr. Chaos joked.

Carmen nodded. "Yep. You know the rules, no experiments on my friends. Or anyone that I don't want hurt or killed, for that matter."

Dr. Chaos nodded. "I know, I know!" He said, exasperated. "You make science just a little less fun for me."

Carmen thought for a moment. "You can make clones." She said. "Without any real... neural activity or whatever you call it."

Dr. Chaos thought about it. "Ahh... I can make clones alright... but unfortunately I do not have the budget to do that. A great idea for another time, perhaps."

Carmen chuckled. "I'd kinda like to have a clone of myself, I always thought I could make a better partner than Kevante."

Dr. Chaos grinned. "Mhm... but yes... of course. Come along now, I want to show you what your new assignment is."
"Do you watch the news, Mr. Winters? I assume so. There was a recent story about a hero in Saudi Arabia. He used his abilities to feed the hungry. The man built a hundred homeless shelters with his own two hands. I imagine you'd like him. A real nice guy. Do you know what happened to him? He was found hanging from a street lamp with a noose around his throat. His body mutilated and burned. But that isn't the worst of it. Oh no. The animals don't stop there. No, they decided to write a message in the street with his blood. Do you know what it said? 'Al mawt li shaytan.' Or death to the demon. He protected these people. He fed them, clothed them, gave them a roof over their heads."

The depressing part about that story is that with me knowing a little bit about the middle east, that actually sounds like what would happen in IRL Saudi Arabia.

Location; Remote Firing Range
Interacting With; Benny - @Hippocamp | Gianna via Text - @lovely complex
Mood; Amused → Nervous/Sheepish → Ready

After Carmen put the stuff down on the table, she looked to Benny and saw the gun he summoned. "Oh... I think I'm familiar with that one... I think it's the made by the... uhm... same guys who made my handgun. FN Herst... FN Herstal I believe? I don't know." She said, gesturing to her FNX-45. "You got a good taste in guns, my friend. That one's an old one, but it's one hell of a rifle from what I've heard." She said, pointing towards the scoped FAL in his hands. She turned around and took some of the stuff on the table, including her gun, the paper and the tape. She holstered her weapon, and walked up to the mannequins set up along the range, listening to Benny as she went to work.

"I never tried them but I've seen them." Carmen said. "I've always been a Doritos gal. I've always found them useful for making nacho salads and stuff too, though can be pretty expensive if you eat a shit ton of 'em." She said as she taped some paper over a target's head. "I can get some those Funyuns for you if you'd like. I got plenty of snack cash." She offered, taping some more paper on another target. "Hell... if you want, we can get entire tubs of ice cream and eat them in the Cobra. No one's gonna judge us through tinted windows." She said with a smirk before sticking up some more paper on some other targets. Once Benny talked about the drones, she shook her head. "I don't mind drones, they are actually pretty damn useful. But the day they start littering the skies is the day they become a problem." She noted. Once she heard Benny wanting to get into science, she raised an eyebrow. "Oh really now?" She asked incredulously, grinning. "Well... you got the tools to summon whatever ingredients you want." She noted, pointing to his top hat and coat. "I have a contact that could probably help you out with that kind of stuff. He doesn't live too far from here actually. His name is Doctor Chaos... he's... quite... insane in the membrane... if you know what I mean." She chuckled, making her index finger spin around her head, indicating that he was quite loco. "He's what you would call Crazy Awesome. He's the type of guy who would make both a laser gun that destroys battleships but also create a pickle-flavored hamster." She explained, stepping closer to the table to put the target stuff down.

Once Benny questioned her current mood state, Carmen looked up to him and feigned a smile. "It's nothing... just... old memories is all." She lied, before smiling genuinely from the elbow to her ribs. Once he spoke to her, saying that he was gonna put some more paintballs on the drone, she gave a little bit of a sheepish chuckle. "It's nothing, really. I'm fine." She lied, though more so to herself than Benny, really. Once he went to work, so did she, walking over to the mannequins all along the range, putting the paper targets all over them and taping them together. "I should get like a bonfire pit here, so we can have bonfires here and roast marshmallows and whatever you white people do with these things." She joked, looking around. "Okay... uhm... I believe that's all of them." She said, putting the paper and tape back on the table, standing behind it. She opened one of the ammo boxes, revealing three sets of (shoddy) shooter earplugs, and three sets of shooting glasses. She put her pair of shooting glasses on, and handed the second pair to Benny. "Safety first, amigo."

She then felt her phone vibrate. "Hold on a sec..." She said to Benny before pulling out her cell phone, opening it up and revealing the text message on it. She blushed a little, typing away immediately.

To: Jessica Alba Reference
Sure thing, homegirl~ ;) Your room tonight!

She hit 'send', having sent the message as fast as possible as to not reveal the details to Benny. She then put her phone away, and looked to her trench-coat top-hat wearing friend right beside her. "I'm finished with the targets. Go ahead and get that thing airborne. I'll make all of the paintballs disappear, just watch!." She said with a grin.
@FacePunch That is true, but it just feels like it's rushed though. I don't know. XD
@lovely complex I see! And dont worry, I agree. The only problem that I have with doing the drama and action so early is that it would make it difficult to establish characters, their motivations, and most importantly make it a little difficult to show off how their powers work before a conflict requires their use. I'm trying to accomplish all of these, hence why I took Carmen to the range. Lol

Or maybe I'm just crazy xD

Jeez old habits die hard, it's gonna take me a while to get used to this lol
I feel like I'm missing out on a lot xD I honestly didn't think you guys would start the action and drama at the very beginning of the RP! XD
@HushedWhispers Really? Well shit! XD Now I really wanna see what's going on! XD
@lovely complex I don't know whether or not I should be mad or glad about it. XD But hey that means we're at least doing something right! lol
