Powerbound: A Superhero RP of Epic Proportions! (High Casual)

Okay guys, I'm gonna try GMing a new game here for realzies this time, and I want to see if anyone is interested in it. While the universe of this world isn't fully fleshed out yet, the WIP description of the world below would give you an idea of what it's like. Long story short, it takes place in the mid 2020s, where technology has changed for the better, the political landscape of the world is changing, and evil is being purged from the world now that it's being brought up to the attention of the people. However, angels, demons, superhumans and aliens exist, and the people are still ignorant about their presence.

The Powerbound Universe is like reality unless otherwise noted. Takes place twenty minutes into the future, with some futuristic tech and some slight changes in the political landscape. Scotland and Kurdistan were recently given independence in light of recent political movements and shifts around the world, and the information age was already in full swing, bringing the truth into the light, purging evil from that of companies, governments and many other organizations around the world. However, due to the information age, and the exposure of corruption all around the world, many of the good-intentioned movements that have spawned have destabilized some less powerful nations. While some of the governments that replaced the corrupt institutions and totalitarian regimes around the world formed successful nations that brought peace and prosperity to its people, others were often replaced with, at best, governments that were too weak to bring order and peace to the country, and at worst, totalitarian regimes that were worse than their predecessors.

However, while many of the leaked information regarding the governments, corporations and organizations of the world brought truth to the light, leaked information about supernatural elements in our world, including that of superhumans, ghosts, demons, angels and alien life, were often dismissed as hoaxes and clickbait. Due to the fictionalization of said supernatural elements, many people often dismissed the notion of such beings existing on our planet. In this universe, all of these supernatural elements do exist, and while some are known to the public, most aren't, for a variety of reasons.

Superhumans, as well as demons, angels and aliens, kept their existence hidden throughout the ages, as those who made themselves public were often killed by the populations they were either protecting or destroying, or kept secret/embellished by the governments that discovered them. Nowadays, due to the advent of video, CGI and the mass popularity of fictionalized supernatural characters, such beings now have much more freedom when it comes to their abilities and origins, though they still have to be careful, especially during the age of surveillance. These beings exist and live all over the world, some amongst humans (mostly unknowing, there are a few knowing communities that are very helpful) and some amongst themselves, whether they be alone or in groups. While most of them are benign (either keeping themselves hidden, or never having their powers discovered in the first place), most of those who do take action are often on the side of good, whether it would be helping the unfortunate, removing evil from the world or participating in its change for the better. Those on the side of evil (or themselves), like the human race itself, are the minority of these beings (with the exception of demons, which are often behind most of the atrocious acts in human history), and often operate in by themselves, in small cells or with the help of humans, whether they be knowing or unknowing.

The gods of this universe, while many, often keep themselves out of mortal's affairs, having their own affairs to deal with, living in the realms of the dead and all. The creator of this universe is unknown even by the so-called 'immortal beings' of the many dimensions they inhabit, though many believe that he is the abrahamic god that many people put their faith in. Most of the supernatural beings that come from these realms, whether they be angels or demons, are often dissidents of those realms who come to the land of the living in order to live there under their own rules, or to do their own thing. Most of the lower-teir demons (and some of the higher-teired demons) often come to the land of the living in order to take it for themselves, while some of the others wanted to warp humanity for their own twisted purposes. The good-aligned demons that came to the realm of the living often wanted to live their lives in peace, wanted to live among good company or wanted to be good period. The angels that came to Earth, on the other hand, were often the types that disagreed with the ways of the gods, and wanted to shape the world and do good on their own terms. Others, like the some of the demons, wanted to live amongst good company or live alone in peace. It was very rare for an angel to be aligned with evil, however.

The RP itself would start with a gathering of supernatural beings responding to a secret call in America to be part of an alliance of heroes, but due to the originals being so spread out and all around the world, they are making a rally call for some new meat before training and beginning operations. While people could play almost any race they want, it has to have a good reason. Normal superheroes are good, but there's gotta be a damn good reason why you're playing an angel, demon, alien or non-superpowered person (or a robot for that matter). They have a sanctuary based in Colombia, which used to be huge mansion property under the ownership of a cartel leader that was taken down by the original heroes. Most of the training and slice-of-life stuff would take place there, though a whole lot of missions would take place abroad (and I would be doing thorough research on said places so I can give them each their own unique atmosphere). I'll come up with more details as I build this RP, and as you guys ask questions and show interest.

Playable characters are that of heroes and neutrals that are part of the alliance. I'm mainly doing this so the RP would be easier for me to manage, as it would be difficult to keep track of villains and other people who are outside of the alliance along with those who are inside the alliance. The villains are all going to be played by me. You guys can play Neutrals and Heroes, but again, leave the villains to me. However, you guys are FREE to give me ideas of what kind of villains to bring into this RP for you guys to fight, so please, feel free to send them to me! :D I want you guys to be playing lower-tiered characters too so they would have time to grow, develop and become more powerful as the RP/story goes on. I also encourage drama, romance, relationships and all of that in between character so I want to have that going along with the adventure so it won't be too boring.

Common sense rules and all of that. I'll list more stuff here as they come to me, and as you guys ask questions. Please tell me what you would like to see, and please ask me questions about stuff that I might have missed! I hope to make this a real RP someday so please tell me whether or not you are interested. And please, for the love of god... don't hit it and quit it.

The Incredible True Story

After the boarders were killed or fended off, Sukaina locked up the armory and went out to go help the wounded, bringing them to the infirmary and making sure that most of the crew was alright.

Quite a few minutes after she dropped Eliana and Benny off at the Mayweather building, Carmen had invited a few uninvited guests to... chaperone the party in a sense, from a silent and shadowed distance. It was when the second car arrived that things were being discussed.

"Are you for real?" Kevante asked, sitting at the helm of their black Dodge Charger. "Now you're calling in favors?"

"It shouldn't be that difficult for you guys." Carmen said, prepping herself up in the backseat, alongside Sukaina. She was dressed up in a nice manner that still allowed her to kick ass. Black tactical shoes, dress trousers and a revealing black dress shirt, she's got it down. "This is just a surveillance job. No guns, no shooting, no infiltration... not that I think that's needed, anyway." She turned her back to Sukaina, who is now helping to braid the back of her hair.

Sukaina nodded. "Yeah, we've done this a million times before. It's my specialty, in fact." Sukaina said softly, braiding Carmen's hair as she spoke.

"What? Stalking people? For you that would actually kinda make sense." Kevante said, rolling his eyes and turning around. "So Carmen... what kind of shit do you want us to be looking out for? Confessions? Intel?"

Carmen nodded. "All of it. Though these people are Mayweather, they might not give us much. See... I really want to go the good guy paragon route on this one, but... if I can't befriend them and earn their trust, I gotta have some sort of leverage over them so they don't fuck around with me or my friends." Carmen said.

Kevante nodded. "So Blackmail material then? Alrighty, I'll leave that one up to Suk (Sook)."

"I also need you guys to look out for any Delphina assholes. I know they'll be coming to crash the party, I just need to know when. You guys are my early warning radar network right now, so I'm counting on you two dumbasses to get the job done." Carmen said, taking her Walther P99, chambering it with rubber rounds before holstering it in a concealed area under her black dress pants. Due to the FNX-45 tactical being too big to conceal when dressed up, she resorted to her smaller 9mm backup pistol.

"Alright, so what do these fucktards look like?" Kevante asked.

"Well, half of them are kids that Suk would draw fanart of and post on GIFs of on her Tumblr page." Carmen said with a teasing smirk.

"Hey!" Sukaina playfully punched Carmen on her shoulder. "I don't do that anymore!"

"Or so you say." Carmen chuckled. "The other half of them are an emo kid, a fucking Nazi, a few ice queen bitches, an angry white boy and a guy in a badass trench coat and top hat. Shouldn't be too hard to spot."

Kevante nodded. "Got it."

Sukaina then finished up Carmen's hair. "Alright... finished up here." She said softly, allowing Carmen to turn around and face her. "You look nice. Not... cocktail party 007 Quantum of Solace nice, but... still fuckable." Sukaina said casually.

Carmen raised an eyebrow. "Oh really?"

"Yeah. I'd totally bang you in that outfit, but... that shirt makes you look like you're posing for some shitty second-rate mall store clothing line." Sukaina chuckled.

Carmen, having worn a (somewhat revealing) black dress shirt, looked to herself and sighed. "Yeah... fair point." She looked back up to Sukaina. "So... how are you guys gonna go about doing this?"

"Well... Steel Pheonix..." Sukaina said mockingly. "...since we all got that unlimited Talk and Text plan from Verizon Wireless, I'm gonna call you on your cell, and you're never gonna hang up, leaving all of the background noise to be picked up in recorded, including conversations nearby. I couldn't find any working wired mics in time, you kinda sprung this one on us."

Carmen shook her head. "Hey, Suk, it's cool. How are you gonna record the others?"

"Well, I got this military-grade listening equipment..." She said, pointing to the laptop, headphones and long-ranged scanners. "... with that, I'll be listening in to whatever's going on outside. I can also gain access to the security cameras if need be." She explained.

"As for the Delphinas, I got this." Kevante said, pulling out a night-vision scope. "Our windows are tinted, so if we keep the interior lights off, no one would even know we're even here."

Carmen nodded. "Good. I need you guys to remember one thing though. Never, under any circumstances, draw your fucking guns. I want to prevent a bloodbath, not start one, so if you're compromised, tell the appropriate half of the truth to whoever spotted you. If Mayweather spotted you, say that you're looking out for Delphinas for me. If Delphina spotted you, tell them you're looking for blackmail material for the Mayweathers and offer to sell some. Give them bullshit though if they actually want to buy any." Carmen chuckled. "You guys got it?"

"Yeah boss, read ya loud and clear." Kevante said.

Sukaina nodded. "Yep, I gotchya."

Carmen smiled. "Alrighty then. Keep an eye on me, I'll be heading in when the party starts. Text me whatever for whenever you need me to bring the phone to ear." She said. "Peace out bitches... I got a party to attend!" She said before gloriously exiting the backseat of the Charger, playing hip-hop music in her head as she activated her reflexes, making her look like she's walking out in slow-mo. Damn, that felt good every time.
