Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope smiled a little more at hearing his laugh. Although there was still a rather big sense of gloom, she was at least glad there wasn't enough to make him wallow in it. She shook her head and fell quiet again as she merely enjoyed being in his embrace for the time being. Now that she had been able to talk with him about what the barons were deciding as well as stop suppressing her own worry, she felt a little more at ease and focused more on his warm presence than the looming decision that would be made at her meeting in the morning.

When he spoke up again, Penelope hesitated as he suggested her laying besides him. There were quite a few risks involved if she choose to do that. Even if she was near the edge, there was still a likelihood that someone would enter the tent before she was able to get off the bed. On top of that, there was also his injury to worry about. It was still fairly fresh, especially after Layth's involvement, and she worried about accidentally causing him any pain if she laid down next to him.

I supposed it'd all be fine as long as I stay awake though... Despite the risks involved, she was heavily tempted to lay down next to him. While embracing him like they had been doing was fine to the knight, it was difficult to do for very long without her back feeling a bit stiff. Plus, with everything going on, she wanted to remain as close to him as she could. Not to mention she found it rather difficult to say no to his pleading smile. She supposed that as long as she was careful, it would be alright for her to lay besides him.

"I doubt anyone aside from Jane would stop by this late." she told him shifting slightly as she glanced towards the flap of the tent. "..I guess it'd be alright for a little while." Penelope gave him a small smile and press a quick kiss to his lips before she moved out of his embrace only so she could shift herself onto the bed besides him. The knight moved to lay on her side at the edge of the bed besides him, keeping a small amount of distance between them out of concern about his wound. "Just don't let me fall asleep." she told him with a small smile.
Cute cx little do they know of the power convenience and perfect timing lol
Me too. Always makes me think of that one office episode where michael is starting his new business with Pam and she starts freaking out so then he calms her down instead lol
Penelope closed her eyes as he pressed a kiss to her lips. She relaxed a little, believing the gesture was a small sign that he forgave her. However, as he pulled back, she realized that wasn't the case as he instead assured her that it wasn't her fault to begin with. Though she couldn't bring herself to fully agree with him—it was difficult not to feel a bit responsible for this poor turn of events after what she had done—her guilt was lessened considerably by his words.

She leaned into his hand as he caressed her cheek and gave a small nod to his words. At least he would have a fighting chance now, especially with Mia being the one heading the argument for working with him rather than removing his hands. If she had presented it, she doubted the other barons would even give her a chance to defend the idea. Mia would at least be able to put up a solid argument and Penelope would do her best to help her, although she doubted there was much she could do considering Edward and Layth still viewed her as a traitor for working with him in the first place.

As he drew her into another embrace, Penelope relaxed in his arms and let out a soft sigh. "You're right.." she mumbled softly. The knight smiled halfheartedly and press a quick kiss to his cheek before nestling her head back against his, still staying in his embrace. "You'd think after all we've been through it'd start to get easier at some point."
whoops xD

Somehow I forgot to hit reply for this XD
As a silence dragged on, the knight shifted nervously as she awaited an answer. Unfortunately, when he did finally reply, it was clear he was just as lost as her when it came to trying to get him out of this rather terrible situation. She hated feeling so powerless to do anything. The knight was usually able to find ways to slip around these difficult situations but for once, it seemed like there wasn't any route around the path the barons had laid out. Seeing the fear in his eyes, she felt a heavy wave of guilt wash over her. If she hadn't pushed Jane to go talk with the barons about Layth, it was unlikely that Mia would feel pushed to reach a decision on what to do with him. Crow could have still had time.

When he suddenly wrapped his arm around her, she returned the gesture by moving to wrap one arm around him. She closed her eyes tightly and leaned her head against his as she felt him bury his head in her neck. Penelope used her free hand to gently stroke his head and remained quiet for a while, merely trying to comfort him as well as take comfort in his presence. There was still a way out of him losing his hands but it wasn't a sure thing and that alone made it difficult for the knight to be hopeful. Especially knowing both her uncle and Layth.

After a moment of merely staying in his embrace, the knight pressed a kiss to the side of his head and let out a shaky sigh. "I'm so sorry, Crow...This is all my fault. If I hadn't pushed Jane to speak with them about Layth, they wouldn't have felt rushed to make a decision..." She admitted in a weak voice. It was difficult knowing that she had put the man she loved more than anyone else in such a position. Even though it had been an attempt to save him from her brother, it had backfired greatly. Penelope pulled back just enough to meet his gaze with her tearful one. Despite her eyes being a bit watery, she gave a look of desperate determination. "I'll do everything I can to change their minds tomorrow, I promise."
Oh god xD I can't wait lmao

Penelope has trouble giving up lol
Penelope listened as Crow explained that he had spoken to Mia and knew what the barons were planning for him. Noticing him clench his hands at his side, she moved to rest her hand on his, both as a way to comfort him as well as seeking some comfort for herself. She had spent most of the day trying to figure out a way to get Crow out of the punishment but had come up with nothing so far.

As he went on with a bit more hope, she blinked, surprised to learn that not only had Crow proposed such a deal but that her baroness had approved of it. It sent a small wave of relief over the knight to know that there was still a way for him to be safe from losing his hands. The only downside was that it wasn't very solid. Even if Mia liked the idea, that didn't mean that she'd be able to convince the other two barons, especially since it came to dealing with Crow who was loathed by quite a few of the knights. Still, it was better than nothing. Plus if anyone could convince the other two barons, it would definitely be Mia, who she knew to be quite skilled in both arguing as well as manipulating.

"That's good.." she mumbled with a soft sigh. Leaning down, she pressed a kiss to his forehead. Though she felt a bit relieved that there might be a way out of this mess, her expression was still riddled with worry as she looked down at him. "I hope she'll be able to convince the other two barons and I'll help her argue with them as much as I can then but..." The knight hesitated and lowered her gaze.

"Crow, what if she can't do it?" she asked in a quiet voice. Penelope met his gaze again. "I've been trying to think of a way around this whole mess but I just.. I can't. I don't know what else we can do... What can we do? What can I do?"
Definitely xD and even more confused when he starts asking about Crow lol

Penelope's been worried all day, she didn't even bother saying hi xD
Mia raised an eyebrow at the thief as he not only thanked her but gave a respectful gesture. The more time she spent around this criminal the more interesting he was to her. Perhaps it was just because she usually didn't deal with them but this one—the most infamous of all of them and quite stubborn to have gone through Layth's interrogating—seemed to show her a bit of respect, which she didn't think happened often between noble and thief. She supposed she was beginning to see why Penelope was willing to work with him and why she saved him as well as continued to do her part to protect him in a camp filled with other knights like Layth.

"Of course." the baroness mused with a small nod. "The decision will be finalized tomorrow morning... I wish you luck that they'll listen to me for the sake of this war. Hopefully I'll have good news next time I see you. Farewell for now." With that said, Mia turned and head out of the tent. She let Philip return to his post as she headed off to her own tent to prepare her argument for the coming morning.

The rest of the day went by and Penelope was still worrying over Crow and his situation. She hoped that his talk with Mia had went well enough to potentially get him out of losing his hands. Though, she had her doubts that much could be done to change the minds of the barons, especially her uncle who's lieutenant was out for Crow's blood. The knight let out a small sigh and picked up her pace as she headed to take Philip off his shift.

Night had fallen and it was finally time for her shift. She had taken a nap after helping Tomas so the knight was a bit groggy but she figured she'd be able to make it through most of her shift without growing too tired. As she stepped into the tent, Philip stood up straight and looked over to Penelope. She gave a small nod to him and quickly dismissed the young knight, who wasted no time in heading out of the tent. The knight watched him go before her gaze shifted over to Crow.

Noting that Jane wasn't around, she stepped hastily over to his side with a worried expression on her face. With the barons being close to reaching a decision, the knight could barely enjoy the fact that she was able to spend time with him again. "Did Mia speak with you?' she asked with a frown, not even bothering with greetings the panic she had been feeling all day began to come out openly now.
That was really difficult for me to decide xD
But I figured Mia would end up liking the idea of using him to their advantage rather than going the brutal route cx

Additionally I'm thinking John might pop up like right during their meeting before they reach a real decision lol otherwise Mia would probably end up folding to Edward this time
