Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

As morning came, Penelope was still sleeping soundly besides Crow. It was unusual for her to not wake up early—she had grown rather used to it over her years as a knight—but being as comfortable as she was sleeping besides him, she didn't stir until she felt him press a kiss to her lips. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and she smiled drowsily as she looked up at him. It was definitely a nice start to the day and something she was going to miss when they returned to the inner kingdom.

"Moring." she replied as she stretched out, trying to shake of her small bit of remaining sleepiness. Now a little more awake, she smiled at him and brushed back a loose strand of hair from his face. "I'm ready if you are." Leaning up, she pressed a kiss to his cheek and then reluctantly slipped away from him. Moving to sit up on the edge of the bed, she grabbed her boots and got back into her armor. She let out a small yawn as she got up to her feet and stepped over to Crow as she finished getting ready to leave.

Once he joined her, she moved to begin to lead the way out of the inn. She felt a hint of nervousness begin to seep into her as she thought about how they'd be reaching Myrefall by the end of the day, which meant they'd be reaching his companions as well. Though she felt sympathetic towards his companions, she was still a bit concerned about how they'd react to the news. After all, it was very unlikely they would just merely accept that their leader was abandoning them to become a noble.

Leading the way down the hallway, she stopped to drop off the key with the innkeeper and then began to head towards the exit with Crow. She let out a small sigh and glanced over at Crow. "So... Have you thought about where you're even going to start? About telling your friends everything, I mean." she asked in a quiet voice as they stepped out onto the street.
Penelope really isn't either cx

I also kinda see them getting married like right after the shitstorm is over lol I imagine Penelope just being like 'quick before something else happens' xD
Penelope smiled as he pressed another quick kiss to her lips and gave a soft chuckle at his words. "I figured you would." she mused with a smirk. It was strange to think how much she had changed since meeting him. Two years ago she would have never thought to stray from the law or question it. If she hadn't met him, she probably never would have gain the title of lieutenant from Mia, who also seemed to slightly admire that trait about her—provided she didn't act too recklessly.

As Crow settled on the bed, she shifted to get a bit more comfortable as well. The knight smiled at his words and nestled her head against his, closing her eyes. "I can't either." she mused softly. Thinking about their new future together, she felt a rush of affection and excitement. It was still a ways off,he still had to go through training and they'd have to start officially courting for a while before getting married, but it certainly felt much closer now than having to wait until the war's end. As always, she couldn't wait to begin her life with him and now, she'd have the additional perk of getting to keep the life she had always know.

She peeked open her eyes to look over at him and smiled fondly to herself. She really was quite lucky to have met him and to have him at her side. He was giving up so much for her and even though she had been plenty willing to do the same for him, it still felt like a favor she could never fully return. Penelope press a couple affectionate kisses to his jawline before settling comfortably in his arms. Tired from a long day of walking and at ease in his arms, she felt herself beginning to drift off.

"Goodnight, Crow. I love you." she mumbled as she closed her eyes and gave into her weariness, sinking into a peaceful sleep.
Cute cx It made Penelope get a little emotional too lol
Penelope blinked in surprise as she suddenly felt him wrap his arms around her middle and collapsed back onto the bed with him. She looked over at him and gave a small giggle, enjoying his playfulness. The knight returned his grin with an amused smile. "I guess so." she said amusedly. In the next moment, she noticed his playful expression soften. It made the knight wonder what was going through his mind at that moment until he leaned in and kissed her.

She met him halfway and closed her eyes as she melted into his touch. Though she wasn't quite sure where this burst of affection had come from, she certainly wasn't complaining and was quick to reciprocate it. The knight slipped an arm around him to hold him close as she kissed him back. As he pulled back, she felt warm with love for the thief as he spoke. It was strange to think that she had such a big impact on him and part of her didn't think he was giving himself enough credit.

Even back when they had first met, he had shown his care for the people of the outer villages. It was one of the reason her view on him began to change in the first place. From noticing him slipping a bit of his food to the servants at inns to him stopping at the Black Dagger to see how the village was fair, Penelope had always admired his care for others—even if he didn't think it counted since he had been living on his own and used to looking out for only himself.

"I love you too, Collin. More than you could ever know." she mumbled softly before leaning in to press another tender kiss to his lips. Pulling back, she rested her hand on his cheek and smiled endearingly at him. "Meeting you changed me quite a bit too... I certainly don't follow the laws like I used to anymore. And though it might not sound like a good change to some people, I think it is." she gave a soft chuckle and shrugged her shoulders. "I've certainly been able to do more and help more than I ever would have before."
I can imagine lol

For sure xD
The rest of their trip to Wellspring left Penelope a little more relaxed as she noticed that fewer people were staring at them. With less eyes on Crow and her, she felt less on guard and was glad that the rest of their walk went smoothly enough. As they arrived at the inn, she went ahead and got them the room while Crow stood back. The innkeeper seemed to occasionally glance towards Crow behind her but said nothing about his presence unlike the one before.

She headed into the room with Crow and stretched out her arms for a moment, glad to have finally reached the inn after a long day of walking. Penelope made her way over to the bed and moved to sit down on the other side, slipping off her boots and armor for the night. As Crow spoke up, she gave a small smile and nodded her head. "It definitely felt like it took forever to reach this inn." she mused as she climbed up onto the bed.

Resting on her knees behind him, she slipped her arms around him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Unfortunately we don't have the time for you to sleep for a week." she said with a soft chuckle. "So we better get in what rest we can. At least we can slow down for a day or two once we reach Myrefall though." She added with a hint of optimism as she let him go and moved to shuffle over so there was space for him on the bed to lay down.
Honestly he'd just constantly be whining xD

Also Penelope's a little concerned about how Rikki's going to react to this lol
Penelope gave a small chuckle at his response to her words, the faint reddening of his face not going unnoticed. Though she teased him about it, she was glad to see him putting some trust in her friends. She had already thought the two to be rather trustworthy so knowing that the much more guarded thief did as well was somehow reassuring to her. As his expression dimmed slightly as he went on to mention his companions, she frowned a little and shifted her gaze to the ground for a moment.

As much as she wanted to reassure him about it, she really wasn't sure how his friends would react to learning about him becoming the king's viceroy. After all, they despised nobles and learning that their leader was leaving them to become one surely wouldn't go over well. She just hoped their care for him would be enough to keep them from resenting him completely. Penelope glanced over at him and let out a small sigh, wishing she could take his hand to comfort him about the topic.

"I hope so too... At the very least, I think they'll just be happy see you again." she mused and offered him a small, reassuring smile. "Regardless of what comes after, I don't think that will really change even if they do get upset." Even if they did become furious with him, she was at least certain that they'd still be thankful that he had lived Jaxon's attack and that they were finally able to see him again.

The knight was a bit more concerned, however, about how Rikki would take the news. The last time Penelope had spoken to her it seemed like she had finally accepted that Crow and her were together but it was hard to say if she had truly given up yet. If she hadn't, the knight imagined that dealing with the female thief would be a different kind of difficult. While Hazel and Alistair might get upset with Crow, she'd likely try to fight the decision in every way possible. The thought made Penelope let out a quiet sigh and she shifted to walk a little closer to Crow. "I just hope everything works out alright.." she mumbled.
Nice cx
