Hey, I'm Catharyn! I joined the Roleplayer Guild on 2nd Feb 2011, then rejoined on the 17th Jan 2014 after Guildfall.

I was active every day until late 2015, accruing (i think) around 7k posts across dozens of roleplays. Then, I started working and had to gradually slow down my RP schedule. In 2017, I officially went on hiatus when other commitments got fully in the way of roleplaying.

This continued until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, when I suddenly realised I had a lot more free time in lockdown! So in mid-2020, I returned to the Guild with a vengeance. I also managed to get The Cradle 1x1 off the ground - a story i've had percolating for almost a decade.

My posting schedule has slowed down a bit now that the world has opened up again. I still love science fiction, fantasy and espionage themes, and generally aim for around 300 words per post.

Not exactly but OMG finally someone who's read up on the Culture! Hands down my favorite series of books ever. That universe is next on my list, but the TSR universe we're creating here has borrowed a lot of elements from Ian M Banks (the minds etc) The Contact we're refering to here is the First Contact War which happened when Humanity discovered Outremer was largely populated by the Rahtu and decided to orbitally bombard their cities and religious sites to move them off the land.

Of course. Their basic appearance is going to be pretty much the same, but i'm...upgrading their history. The First Contact War etc. I may even have a secret to share with you if you're reintroducing you know who.

Might be hard when what the KHC need is directly below Temple Tower. Stealing resources is unviable, they have a lot of it. Mage KHCs grasp around the government is strong, when knights are not needed to be deployed special law forces take their spot. That and the many acolytes.


Remember the idea is to Roleplay it out, i'll quote Ubisoft when i say 'Nothing is true, everything is permitted.' Keep it in mind when roleplaying. Also remember that while the Templar presence is large in Outremer, Babylon and the other cities are truly massive and there are hundreds of large factions who have political, military and economic clout too. This isn't a three or four carriage train hun.

I'm really proud of you guys for talking so adeptly about our world! I'm sorry i haven't been as busy on fixing the OP up as i should be. I got a call from work last night that went something like this:

Hi Cathy,
what're you wearing? (I'm kidding )

Joe was fired, can you finish his projects and tie up his affairs for the end of this week?
