My senior year, the theme was "Fire and Ice" and this year when I went (my boyfriend just graduated HS), the theme was "Great Gatsby." I know this sounds so cliche, but man, prom was BUMPIN'. Except for sweaty grinding people, but that's whatever. Other than that, it was magical ^-^ *happy Aria*

The joint in my jaw is really wonky. There's a disc in the joint that moves back when you open the mouth, and its supposed to be a smooth motion. My jaw clicks and pops, so the disc gets stuck and I have to force it back. At first the doctors thought it was a temporary thing that comes with growth, but the oral surgeon and therapist came to study me, and my singing puts stress on my jaw, on the joint and the muscles. The range in which I naturally sing requires that I have plenty of room to make the sound resonate, and my jaw just won't allow for it.

You heard her, guys, she'll be doing directing and acting one day. She's going to win a Tony Awards, Laurence Olivier Awards, Emmy Awards and Academy Awards.

In the performing arts world, connections mean everything. It could make or break you. Success in that business is very hard to attain, especially when a director can dismiss your audition simply because s/he didn't like your attire. For example, I went to a vocal competition where the three judges score you out of 100. One judge gave me a 96, another gave me a 98, and the other gave me a 78 and wrote "that dress is horrid" at the bottom of my results paper. Other times, especially in musical theatre and opera, girls will try to get a leg up by offering "favors" to the male directors and managers, who would then refer them to other directors. So rather than do that, people join specific sororities and frats to have connections. Seniority in those organizations go by how long you've been there, and if you're an important member, you usually get to meet the guest speakers and whatnot of certain events, and if you get lucky, they ask to exchange contact information. Other times, you're asked to represent your organization at events. Connections are useful in performing arts, business, journalism, etc.

I was supposed to be at the University of Rochester to study at the Eastman School of Music, but because I have jaw complications that make it nearly impossible for me to pursue a career in opera, I turned it down. I hear the theater scene in NYC is quite something! It must be very exciting indeed (:

When I was born, the bones of my skull were already almost fused together (usually there's a hole at the top so the brain can grow), so I had a really small hole and the doctors told my parents that there was a good chance of me having mental retardation if my brain wasn't able to grow correctly within the first year or so. Fast forward 18 years later, and I'm pretty intelligent and I still got a small head. Fuck those doctors mayne.

When I have alcohol in me, I'm the happy drunk. Everything is funny. Fucking everything. And it's the only time I get "pouty" if thigns don't go my way. :D

Everclear is a grain alcohol, sort of like moonshine (alcohol made out of corn). The difference is Everclear is legal while moonshine isn't lol.
Everclear is rough because it literally tastes like shit. It's like 90-95% alcohol, which is why you have to mix it with something else, otherwise you feel like someone is forcing gasoline down your throat lol.

And I mean, some soritites and frats are high quality (you have to have a really high GPA and be an overall good student) because they're the "classy" ones that get you plenty of cennections if you go into music, business, etc. but they're very... Elitist, hard to get into, and really expensive. Some of my friends are breaking their wallets to stay in Greek life.

I don't know, I was 17, stupid and in college so I wanted to get shit-faced drunk one time... And I never got there. I chickened out. XD My alcohol tolerance is really low, and I was scared. Lel. I still drink, but it's not a lot. I stop when I can feel this itchy, warm feeling crawling up my throat.

Edit: I hate beer but I drink it anyway. As far as liquor, I have to mix heavy stuff with something otherwise I'll just fall over and never wake up. XD Ocassionally I'll have a shot of Tito's or something.

Aw dude that is completely forgiven. When I graduated high school last spring (2013), I was the designated driver for all my friends at parties ;_;
It wasn't because I'm a good driver or anything (I'm Asian, Lel); it was because at that time, I didn't drink. Just wait till you start college and booze becomes tricky business (hard to get a hold of and expensive), so then you just start mixing everything with Everclear. Juice, soda, Monster, iced tea...
And the sorostitutes are bad man. They suck the life out of you by wanting to party. And you don't want to be part of the FFSA-- Future Frat Stars of America (or Europe, wherever you live). Girls secretly give guys a bunch of shit for being a frat daddy. XD
