I've been doing Role Play stuff for a while in different ways, but nothing like this before. I think that I'm going to really enjoy this once I muster up enough willpower to start writing something.
As for favourite genres, I'm pretty varied. I really enjoy the comic genre (DC and Marvel) as well as most sci-fi and fantasy, and recently I've grown pretty fond of the vampire genre as well.
