Personality: Victor is a compassionate person and does all that he can to help others that need it. He has a critical mind and does not seem to know how to filter his criticisms of people and can occasionally rub people the wrong way without ever even realising it. He generally needs things, like when heās being harsh on someone, pointed out to him when it comes to basic human to human interactions when he isnāt in Doctor Mode. His compassion seems to be a compartmentalised portion of his personality.
He has a good number of years behind him and with those years of life comes some life wisdom. Granted, that wisdom may be more useful for a life without Walkers around every corner, but he is a traveled man and has dealt with all manner of difficult situations in his life both pre and post outbreak. His background in Psychology as a hobby is both a benefit and a hindrance when interacting with other people. He always does his best to help when putting it into practice, but he can occasionally slip into the negative side when not actively thinking on it.
However, despite this apparently kind and caring personality, Victor can be quite closed off and detached to those that he does not hold trust in. Even then, he can be quite difficult to break through his hardened exterior. Most that know him will tell you though, that it is worth the hard work.
Habits: Constantly cleans his glasses frame when he is nervous (the glasses are actually just for show, they used to belong to his deceased wife and donāt actually have any lenses in them), rubs his chin/stubble/beard with his hand when he is thinking, scratches behind his right ear when he is lying, sometimes slips into French when he isnāt focusing.

Your First Walker Encounter: Victor and his wife, Rochelle, were on holiday in Orlando when they discovered the collapse of the world was imminent. They had been having breakfast in the hotel restaurant with a neighbouring couple called Jack and Janice. Theyād done this same routine for the last week and were quite fond of their new friends. One morning however, Jack collapsed at their table and had had to be checked over by Victor. Jack then informed Victor that he had been bitten by a homeless man just the night before and had had the wound cleaned and treated at the local A&E but he was now running a temperature and feeling unwell.
Victor recommended that Janice take Jack back up to their room, give him some basic medication and if he didnāt improve by the evening, then they should get him straight to a hospital again. Victor and Rochelle made the most of the remainder of their day and returned to their room that evening. Victor decided it was a good idea to check on Jack and Janice. He knocked the door, but no one came to answer. Maybe theyād went to the hospital sooner? That was when he heard the gurgling growl that still haunts him to this very day. He heard feet shuffling towards the door and then hands banging on the wood back to him along with a snarling noise.
His heart stopped at the noises and he called for the hotel security to check in on them too. He watched from his open room door, as the security called out to the couple but received only growls and snarls in return. They opened the door and thatās when Victor saw his first Walker. He stood in shock and it wasnāt until his wife grabbed him that he moved from the spot where he was paralysed; watching what was once his new friend Jack tearing the throat out of the security guard right before his very eyes.
History Before Outbreak: Victor was born to an upper class family in Nice, France and wanted for absolutely nothing. He was an only child, very spoiled but learned the value of money from a young age and knew to respect his elders. His father was a neurosurgeon and his mother had been a Principal in a nearby Private School. He was encouraged to do whatever he wanted but knew that he wanted to help people. He decided to follow in his fatherās footsteps and become a doctor too.
He worked hard through school and decided that he wanted to study abroad in America. He was accepted into Yale School of Medicine and he moved to the US to become a doctor. He didnāt want to be overshadowed by his father in the medicine field of work so this would be a good thing for him. It was also the idea of a fresh start, in a new country, that tipped the scales in favour for Victorās international move. He worked extremely hard, putting all his time into his dream of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. In his final year of study, he met a very lovely nurse called Rochelle. They had a whirlwind romance and were married within a year of meeting and, by the time he obtained his doctorate, he was also a married man.
He moved permanently to Connecticut to live with Rochelle and was offered a job in a hospital that was only an hour commute away. They had two children over time and Victor moved from hospital to hospital as he worked his way up the ranks of surgeon-dom. Rochelle was content at the level that she was as a nurse and preferred to take care of the children whenever possible. Their life was idyllic, and they were happy and content.
Their children eventually went off to college themselves and started their own lives and Victor was content to take some more time off knowing that he had provided for his family as much as he possibly could. He and Rochelle spent a lot of time travelling the world and loved to see new places and meet new people. It was during one of their more domestic trips that the world went to shit.
History Since Outbreak: With the way that Victor discovered the news about the recent illnesses that had been happening across the country, he made a point to go to the nearest hospital in Orlando and explained what he could do and that he wanted to help somehow. His wife by his side, they did what they could for the people until everything began to go to shit. Their kids were both across the country and they knew that there was no way to get to either of them and they werenāt going to be selfish right now. They had a job that they could do, and they planned to do it.
When things began to break down, Victor and Rochelle moved from hospital to hospital and did all that they could. They grabbed what supplies they could and began to be their own travelling clinic once it was clear that the hospitals were no longer safe to approach. They were very fortunate in the first year and half, they managed to help many people and travelled with some of them for a time, moving from group to group for a while. There were a few groups that didnāt want to see them leave but most of the groups were just grateful for the help that they received.
There was one group that they met in Southern Georgia, however, that were not happy to let them leave. They threatened Rochelleās life if Victor chose to leave. Promising that sheād suffer worse than anything a Walker could ever do to her in the big wide world. They were safer here
if they chose to stay. Victor reluctantly agreed as he wasnāt about to let anything happen to his love. Rochelle had other ideas and she fought with Victor. Eventually she tried to sneak away, and the guards caught her. Victor was accused of helping his wife to escape but he had no idea she was even going to try. The tears streaming down his face should have been evidence enough of that fact, but the group didnāt believe him.
They made him watch as they destroyed his wife in every way possible. Anytime he tried to stop them, he was beaten. When she was finally put out of her misery, they kept her around as a Walker. They had already removed all her teeth and fingernails so she wouldnāt be able to hurt or turn anyone. She was a reminder for Victor. To let him know that he was their property now.
He was with them for another nine months before he finally managed to escape. A larger, much stronger group had approached his and asked them for everything they had. They said that anyone that joined them willingly would live. Victor instantly piped up and told them that he was a doctor. They grabbed him in an instance and then the fighting began. Victor was a precious resource, so everyone was trying to protect him and obtain him for their own group, even the group he had so quickly tried to leave. He knew if they won, heād pay but it was worth it just for this opportunity.
He made his way towards the cars that belonged to the rival group and was ecstatic to find the keys still in the ignition. He made his escape in a Honda Civic and he has since managed to keep this car. It has been his home and escape for the last 3 months. Heād been ecstatic to find that there had been boxes of cans and a few 4 litre jugs of water inside. If there hadnāt beenā¦ heād probably have starved. Maybe his luck was due to run out soon. But no, yet again, it was not Froggyās time. Heād been alone for a few months, for the first time since the apocalypse began before he ran into someone who would help keep him alive for months to come.
Several weeks spent travelling with his companion Zoie came and went before they encountered a group of people in a monster of a vehicle that roared louder than any horde of Walkers could. The driver had been James Grady, better known as Black James to those in Newnan, and he took them in and transported them to a place that would become their home. It wasnāt all smooth sailing, many moments of trauma and pain were still to come, but with them came moments of joy, peace and almost normalcy for a time.
Being within Newnan was some of the best time of Froggyās life in the time
after everything. He found new friendships, new family, within Newnan and he wanted it to last forever. They were well set, a fully grounded community and were even able to host normal events, like weddings! And he was so honoured to be there to give his darling Tatianaās hand in marriage to his new-found son Jack. What came afterwards? It wasā¦ heart breaking. He saved face and did his duty but the carnage that followed was almost more than Victor could bear. The loss of Newnan hit him hard.
He was in the main building, close by the infirmary as always, when the world he had learned to love again began to collapse around them all. He was lucky to have survived when everything started to sink, he recalls the strange visions and sounds he experienced before running into Tatiana within the walls and getting out of the city limits. They got out together and followed the evacuation plan to regroup with everyone. He was thankful, at least, that he had found Tatiana in the chaos. They needed each other to get through this. He worried for Jack and Kris but knew that he would meet them again.
When they reached Zebulon and found it to be a lost cause. It had been hit hard and there was nothing to stay for. They chose to continue South, to Florida, as was the plan. Tatiana left messages along the way, hoping someone they cared for would be following in their wake and that they would meet up.
The only lining in the awful times they endured was that Victor was able to stay with Tatiana and help her bring James Sally Newnan into the world as safely as could be expected with minimal supplies and sterilisation. A shining beacon of hope in a dark, endless nightmare. Victor sometimes worried that, were it not for his family, he would have never continued forward. Heād lost so much and the weight of each person no longer with them dragged him further and further down the rabbit hole.
With Tatiana being in a state of recovery, Victor had to be the one to go on supply runs. One day he left them alone in a house as he had done plenty times before, but this time he didnāt make it back. A large group of Walkers cut him off and had him trapped in a closet in an abandoned house for 3 days. By the time he made it back to the house with the supplies heād gathered, Tatiana and JS were gone. He found her note and smiled, at least they were both okay.
Getting himself sorted for the trek ahead, Victor made his way South, always holding hope that heād run into Tatiana and JS along the way before they reached the coast, but it never happened. Victor was alone for the following 6 months. He didnāt meet another living person during his travels that he called his āscavenger hunt for humanityā.
It had been the longest period of solitude that he had ever endured in all his life. Each time before heād find the next note left by Tatiana, Victor was sure that this was going to be the time. The time he said farewell and never returned to the world of humanity. But when he saw those signs along the way, he was reminded why he continued forward, why he was fighting to stay in this world and what he was aiming for.
It has been 3 months since he last found any sign of life from Tatiana and JS. Heās still not encountered any living soul along his chosen path but the fact thereās been no news or signs from Tati and JS has been playing on his mind more than heād admit out loud. His mind has been slipping further into the darkness, the shadows calling to him clearer each day that passes. He hasnāt spoken a word in as many months and heās not sure heāll even remember how to speak if there is ever need for him to do so again. Heās fought with his demons, to continue forward, but it has been getting increasingly more difficult each time. Maybe itās his time nowā¦
