Rosa had stopped at Wesville breifly in preparation for the final leg of her journey. She sacrifced a whole day doing little more than resting and resupplying, her reasoning being that she could hardly fight a lich or an undead horde while so exhausted. However, the next day, she was on her way again.

This portion of her journey went considerably differently to the rest. She had no experience with the desert, and wasn't willing to take her chances with it when so much was at stake. Instead, she searched for and met someone who could help her - the leader of one of the caravans that travelled through Rzail, cashing in on the wide berth that more cautious tradesmen gave it by shortcutting and reducing costs. He agreed to let Rosa travel with them, on the agreement that she protected the caravan from bandits, undead, and so on for her portion of the journey, and that she provide her own food and water. After this was settled, they were soon on the move.

After some time travelling, Rosa spotted two figures silhouetted against the sand. Both humanoid, but one with a small but noticable amount of bulk around them, probably some kind of armour, and not the medieval kind, either. Which meant that at least one of these was an off-worlder with access to highly advanced gear. Why would someone so equipped travel so far? Rosa was hardly a genius, but she knew the answer to that one, and it didn't surprise her; it struck her as unlikely that she'd be the only one keen to avoid planetwide destruction, so she'd already anticipated the presence of others.

After a brief argument, she managed to convince the caravan leader to wait for her for fifteen minutes or so, and walked down the sand dune towards the pair with a degree of haste, though, obviously, not to the point of running.
There was something about the threat of destruction on a global scale by an ancient and terrible villain who was barely defeated the first time that encouraged Rosa to get up that morning. After she got the call, Rosa had gotten ready and left her apartment within ten minutes. Having put her foot down all the way to the secluded grey building where Don kept his portal, she had soon paid him and left for Ecetopia. She arrived instantly.

Rosa stepped out of the portal, stumbling slightly as she re-entered existence. The sight that awaited her was worrying, to say the least. There was an encampment of maybe a thousand people, all waiting to leave Ecetopia, delayed by the time needed for a portal to form. It was a sight to see, and only reinforced the importance of her quest. With only the slightest pause to force the pessimism from her mind, Rosa set off into Ecetopia's grasslands.

On top of Rosa's usual gear for Ecetopia was a backpack filled with various items useful while travelling: a flask of water, trail rations, rope, and so on. All this faded into a black mist as she changed; she grew in height and stature, her face stretched forwards, and her teeth lengthened. Her whole body was covered with fur, and her eyes had changed hauntingly, as they had lost their human intelligence and compassion, seemingly replaced by a kind of animalistic cunning. The sun was setting on Ecetopia, so no one would see her as she travelled. This, she had planned - to travel at night as her faster, more enduring self, avoiding humanoid settlements until the day, when she would return to normal and rest. Though this might seem strange to the inhabitants, it was for the greater good. This way, she could travel faster, and therefore reduce the risk of their doom.

And so, Rosa began the journey to Rzail.
@Dynamo Frokane No, thanks.
It was four in the morning when Rosa got the call. Groaning, she rolled to the other side of her bed and picked up her phone. It was Don Cavelero, a guy who charged people to use his portal network, and who had occasionally notified Rosa about jobs he'd heard of. Not the prettiest little flower in the bunch, but he usually had the smarts not to call people when they wer sleeping. Whatever this was, it must be important.

She answered the call. "What the Hell, Don? Do you have any idea-"

"I know, I know." He cut her off. "Look, I've got a good reason for waking you, just hear me out, alright?"

Rosa narrowed her eyebrows, even though don couldn't see her. "Talk fast."

"You know, it doesn't matter how tough you are, you can't threaten me from half an hour's drive away. Okay, listen, I've been getting a lot of business lately. Yes, I know you don't give a damn, but here's the thing: everyone's coming from Ecetopia, and three quarters don't even care where they go. The richer ones are offering three or four times my fee just to leave immediately. I think something's going down over there. It's not widespread panic, not yet, but I think maybe one or two smaller cities have gotten word, and they're all getting out while the rest are oblivious."

"Don, if you're right, this is major. You can't just go making guesses about this kind of thing."

"I get it, but there's more. I think I know what's spooked them. When this first came up, I started digging around. Ancient libraries and tombs and stuff; this is the real deal. Some lich guy is apparently coming back to life, that's what my pal said. Rzail, or somewhere like that. Just thought you'd want to check it out."

Rosa thought about her time in Ecetopia. She knew the area. "Rzail? Can't be. There's nothing in Rzail, nothing except-" Oh. Oh, no.

"Nothing except what? Rosa, what's going on?"

"Don't worry. Just have a portal ready in fourty-five minutes. I'm going to Ecetopia."

"Have you forg-"

"No, I haven't forgotten. I can pay."
Character's done. I'll be reading up on posts, should have a reply done soonish (depending on how far I have to go back to know which way is up).
@Circ Changed. Is that more suitable?

Rosa Stoneheart

Influence: 3

Groups: Currently none.

Description:

Height: 6'0"
Weight: 168lbs
Age: 29
Race/species: Werewolf (previously human)
Appearance: Rosa is quite obviously physically athletic - a large portion of her weight is muscle, which, with her height as well, is quite high. She has light brown skin, blue eyes, and black hair, the lattermost being fairly short and swept back. She has many scars, most of which are cuts of various kinds, though all of them have an odd texture as if whatever cut her also burned (in truth, these are injuries from silver weapons - nothing else can scar her). In terms of fashion, Rosa tends to wear tough, durable clothes, often made of black leather, but otherwise keeping to the technology and possibly the style of the planet she's on. She also always wears a necklace from which hang six large canine teeth - the upper-right canines of six different werewolves that died trying to usurp the leadership of Pack Stoneheart from her.
Personality: Rosa seems aggressive, sometimes even cruel, and to an extent she is. She hasn't been able to really trust someone in a long time, and she has known most of her life that giving off an intimidating impression makes her safer. Despite this rough shell, she treats her friends, however few they are, very, very well, and will not hesitate to put herself at risk to protect them. Additionally, she is very stubborn once she's picked a course of action, and quick to resort to violence when other methods fail. However, she isn't stupid, simply uneducated - don't ask her about quadratic equations or the boiling points of hydrocarbons, ask her about the fastest way to get into the military complex undetected.

Abilties, Talents, Traits, Powers:
  • (3) Second form -- Rosa is able to transform into a huge, wolflike version of herself. As long as she does so, she has dramatically improved strength, speed, reaction time, and physical resilience.
  • (3) Regeneration -- Rosa is able to regenerate most injuries inflicted upon her within ten minutes. However, silver burns her, and will stop any injuries it comes into contact with from ever healing. She can't regenerate lost limbs, and many wounds of a high caliber, such as broken bones, will take even longer, possibly reaching one hour or even more. Also, if an injury leaves a foreign body inside of Rosa (i.e. bullet wounds) the injury cannot heal until the foreign body is removed.
  • (2) Physical superiority -- In her human form, Rosa's strength, speed, reaction time, and physical resilience are superior to those of a normal human, but not as much as her second form's.
  • (2) Gunplay -- Rosa knows how to load, aim, and accurately fire most modern guns, and is particularly skilled in the use of shotguns and pistols.
  • (2] Brawling -- Rosa is good in a fistfight, though her style is heavily practical - she's not good enough to show off.

Items:
  • (3) Portal network -- Rosa knows a guy who owns a portal network between a few well-traveled planets, and charges people to use it. For someone who travels a lot, like herself, this comes in handy, even if it gets expensive.
  • (2) Accomodation -- Rosa has a flat on Frixion Prime, and a townhouse in New Bastion, on Ecetopia. They're good, but nothing fancy.
  • (2) Guns -- Rosa has a shotgun and a pistol, as well as plenty of ammo, which she stores at her flat if the technology level of wherever she's headed wouldn't account for them.

Background: Rosa lived in a small Ecetopian town for most of her childhood, brought up by her parents, Helena and Leopold Bowe. Leopold's disappearance when Rosa was 12 dramatically changed things.
Helena had difficulty coping, and Rosa soon found herself providing for both of them, hunting game in the nearby forest and selling it to the townsfolk. It was extremely difficult at first, and the two narrowly avoided poverty and starvation. However, as things progressed, Rosa's skill developed. Their situation was stable again, though Helena continued to suffer.
This ended with her suicide. Her grief over Leopold, two years after his disappearance, finally proved too much. Rosa, upon discovering her mother, fled into the woods.
Rosa soon regretted this decision. She was thoroughly lost be nightfall, with no food, fire, or shelter. Eventually she accepted she would spend the night out there, and did so. However, a pack of huge wolves attacked her in the night, and, though she tried to flee, she ended up bitten, and soon collapsed from blood loss.
When she woke up, she found herself in an encampment - which she later learned to be the home of the werewolf pack Pack Stoneheart, of which she was the newest member. Amazingly, Leopold was there, too (in fact, he had become the pack leader). Despite the tragedy and the jarring change, it looked as though things for Rosa wouldn't be so bad, after all.
Rosa remained in the pack for a long time. After five years, Leopold's age dictated that he was no longer strong enough to lead Pack Stoneheart, and he stepped down. Leadership of Pack Stoneheart was contested, between Rosa and a packmate named Elias. The conflict was resolved in the werewolves' usual method: single combat.
Rosa defeated Elias (to the shock of many; Elias was by far the larger and stronger), though, contrary to tradition, she left him alive. It would be unfair to kill him for his ambition alone, she said, and that he had no way to know he was opposing or threatening her when he announced it. Using the same logic, she killed six would-be usurpers across her eight years ruling Pack Stoneheart.
Rosa's leadership suddenly came to an end (when she was 27, in case you haven't been keeping track), with a raid on the encampment by a force of soldiers working for the Lord Magistrate of New Bastion. The attack was perfectly planned - impossibly so, were it not for one thing: Elias, the werewolf Rosa defeated so long ago, had betrayed the pack for a chance at revenge. He attacked Rosa, nearly killing her, but she managed to escape him.
Rosa has since travelled around widely, taking on mercenary work and just generally getting by. She has no idea how many others escaped the raid, or where Leopold or Elias are now, if either are alive. If she had the opportunity, she would kill Elias in an instant. Though all the leads she had have gone cold, one word about him and she'll be there in an instant.
