Well it doesn't hurt as much as before. My nail is probably going to fall off at some point.

Ooh, that happened to me once. It's not fun. My sympathies.
Well, I'll be posting tomorrow since I don't feel like I'm going to be screaming in pain by then and I'll probably finish my master by then as well.

Yey! Hope you'll be feeling better.
@Holy Grail I see your Homunculus and I like...

Just a random unrelated question, but what is Elyse's life philosophy on Viking Werewolf Princes, and hypothetical partnerships with such individuals?

Excuse you, we all know small homunculi work best with large violent giants. I mean, a Viking Werewolf Prince is all well and good, but what about a Giant Laughing Blood Knight?

Right, @Holy Grail?
Sorry, don't expect a post from me. I accidentally slammed the fucking door on my finger and it hurts like all hell.

Dude, there is exactly zero rush from me. Take all the healing and chill time you need.
How has everyone been doing today by the way? (outside of observing a class of "Third Graders from the Black Lagoon", which in itself could perhaps possibly be the title of an interesting little short story)

I've been doing alright. Just started my summer classes (I'm taking 13 credit hours over the summer and still working; if you're religious, pray for me), but hopefully I'll still have some time to post.

Ugh, the third grade class I'm observing must be from the black lagoon. =_=

I know the feeling. I work with kids a lot. Mostly fourth graders, but I've dealt with plenty of classes that must have arisen either from the deepest circles of hell or R'lyeh. Or both.
@ConstantlyComic

For some reason I just can't get the scene out of my head where Goliath is fighting Gilles de Rais and destroying all his art, and Gilles of course is fliping his shit and is just like "YOU BASTARD! YOU MONSTER HOW CAN YOU DESTROY SUCH WONDERFUL ART!? YOU PHILISTINE!"

And then Goliath stops in his tracks, his Mad Enhancement banished. Slowly he sinks to his knees and a single tear rolls down his cheek. "B-but..." The once mighty warrior stammers. "I am a Philistine."

Then of course Gilles stops his ranting and casts his eyes shamefully downward before going forward to pat the sad giant on the shoulder and leand him the much needed emotional suport. One by one, all the other Masters and Servants of the war join in.

... That is amazing. The mental image of Gilles' slender, pale, clawed fingers curling around Goliath's shoulder is pure hilarity.
Berserkers come summoned with ME automatically active. Turning it off takes Master and Servant consent and requires a single action, same for turning it back on. This is the generic case and can vary if the ME description mentions toggleability.

There you go. So there's no reason Goliath's ME can't be turned off.
Bluuuh! Long LOOONG work day today :P

@ConstantlyComic Is goliath the kind of Berserker who can't turn Mad enhancement off? Does he have a personal reason or...?

Yar Oliver is sort of absent minded. Once he catches on though he's not a fool per say. I do expect to get at least a little comedy out of his first few interactions of the war, and he slowly pieces together what exactly is going on.

I'm not really sure if being able to turn Mad Enhancement off is a normal thing--his is Rank C, if that makes any difference. This might be more of a question for @Unoedipal.

I'm looking forward to seeing Oliver figure out what's going on. The way I see it, Bailey has a few options: he can end up dying horribly, he can go through a Waver Velvet-esque character arc where Krishna carries him and helps him grow as a person, or things could take a turn for the dark and he could just realize that he's at such a disadvantage he has to get ruthless. Or something completely different might happen. That's the nice thing about RP-ing with other people; there's so many variables.
@ConstantlyComic Is Goliath permanently Berserk? The personality section kind of suggests he is? Anyway my Masters prana reserves are somewhat small, and he is quite the elderly dapper gentleman. Your giant may be to spicy for his blood. Also, Goliath is literally a Philistine! I don't think he would appreciate the gravity of a personal interview for the purposes of historical curiosity.

Point. Yeah, he's pretty much permanently berserk unless you can somehow turn Mad Enhancement off. So not the best match.

Incidentally, I just read your Master's bio. I gotta say, it's nice no longer having the only slightly clueless Master in this war.
Alrighty whoooooooo needs a Master? I got one fresh piping hot master right here cooling on the windowsill as we speak.

I've got a giant who needs someone to work with. Or rather, someone to point at who he's supposed to hit.
