So I just finished up a long D&D session with friends. Near the end one of them may have asked if they could roll to yeet a random cat across the town... Nat fucking 20.

"So we're all in the dark then." Rai said, sounding unimpressed. "Try to warn me next time Val." Rai said whilst smirking. Rai's smirk disappeared pretty quickly when Guren mentioned them as a 'family'. "A family unit? I can try, not much that could make me turn my back on these guys though." Rai stood up and briefly stretched "Well, I'm off" he announced before leaving the room. Act as if we're a family, hopefully this one won't break down. Rai thought to himself before dismissing the idea and heading off to bed.
"So we're all in the dark then." Rai said, sounding unimpressed. "Try to warn me next time Val." Rai said whilst smirking. "Well that much is true, but it's still just a joke Jean. You'd do the same if the roles were swapped." Rai quickly replied, trying to defuse the situation. He'd hold his tongue for the time being, Guren was in the room, if he decided to step in on this Rai would likely get it back tenfold. He was bored and wanted to know what they'd be doing so Rai asked "So then, what are we to do come sunrise Guren? What kind of mission are we going on?"

Rai turned around at the sound of a chair being moved to face Val "Look who we have here, where ya been Val?" Rai asked. His question was answered quickly, intentionally or not by Guren "Wait a minute, there was a mission?" "I guess that makes two solo operatives then, hope your outing went better than well... his" Rai said as he gestured to the injured Jean, chuckling slightly.

"Okay so then its nothing really bad then?" Rai asked, genuinely concerned about the well-being of his squadmate and friend. Why the hell did you do that Jean?, well at least you didn't die. If there was anything to be learned here, it was to not get caught alone by the fangs.

"Alright." Rai said as he retracted the blades and returned to a normal stance, he was still however on high alert, listening closely just in case. He took another look at Jean's injuries, and they were not pretty by any standards."Yeah, I'll second that opinion, lets get out of here" Rai said in response to Eleanor
Back at the barracks Rai sat down in order to concentrate, and talk to Saki.
"You idiot, that was our chance at some action! Why the hell would you let it pass us by like that?"
"Yeah, that was also a pretty great chance to get injured or killed. Trust me, I wanted to let loose on some fangs pretty badly"
"What was that you said about not being afraid to act anymore?"
"Oh come on Saki, that's not even fair. Besides we're gonna kill a lot of vamps soon, don't wanna burn ourselves out so early on."
"Ha! Like that's even possible, I could spend years killing vampires and never get tired of it."
"Whatever, point is we're gonna kill a lot of them together."
"I hope so, or I would have to kill you."
