Hope this is all good, might have gotten a little out of hand when writing up the history, but I'll need to go back and edit in the name of where he has his shop set up once we have a map of locations.

Name: Brick "Forge" Burnside

Appearance:

Age: 25 or so

Personality: Fairly lax and care-free. A lighthearted individual who's friendly demeanor makes him easy to like and a popular choice among customers. He treats his work with the utmost respect and treats all weapons he views as a work of art. His one "trigger" is people who treat weapons as disposable tools and nothing more. If he gets even a whiff of disrespect off of someone the switch flips and he goes completely psychotic, usually ending with the offender dead on the floor, killed by their own weapon.

Faction: Self-aligned, open to contracts from anyone willing to pay.

Equipment: Personal weapons: .44 Magnum (modified with bull barrel, heavy receiver and comfort grips) and combat shotgun (modified with full stock, long barrel, drum magazine, and compensator). Professional Gear: Large selection of weapons, mods, and ammo for sale. Toolbox stocked with every tool he needs to repair or modify weapons. Small ammo-crafting kit. Stockpile of assorted scrap metals and other miscellaneous items used as components.

Skills: Weapon maintenance/care/modification, ammo production, and at least a passing knowledge of most styles of combat.

History: Brick's father was a Gun Runner operating out of New Vegas. He was one of their best men, a highly-skilled salesman and craftsman who simply loved his work. He learned everything he could about weapons, and wanted to know more. He jumped at the opportunity to join a caravan headed for the mythical Commonwealth on the east coast. Their mission? To establish a series of east coast branches of the Gun Runners, and eventually create a national network of death-dealers. The Commonwealth Gun Runners flourished in their initial years, and began to spread out by making lucrative deals with major weapons dealers in every region, as per the plan. By the time of Brick's birth, they had established small, but successful and well-respected outposts in Ronto, The Pitt, and The Capital Wasteland. Naturally, Brick grew up surrounded by weapons and took an interest in learning everything his father could teach him. Throughout the years, the two of them wandered from outpost to outpost, learning both the slight and significant differences in how the different craftsmen of the Gun Runners operated. With time, he too became obsessed with the 'beauty' of weapons, and truly took the teaching of 'weapons are art pieces' to heart. Shortly after his father passed, Brick was selected for a new project. A travelling caravan of Gun Runners equipped with all the necessary equipment to preform their signature services even in the middle of nowhere. They were known as the Wandering Weaponforge, and for several years, business was good. Not long ago, word of a new opportunity for expansion came- The Outer Banks, Brick, a few guards, and three other craftsmen were to move into this region and establish a new outpost near a major settlement. Their journey was long and not without setbacks, only Brick and 3 of the guards made it to their destination. Three months later, Brick has made some success in his mission. Word is beginning to spread of a man known only as 'Forge' who is set up at the Davenport Homestead outside Creswell who can do miraculous things with weapons, as long as you have the caps to pay.
Excited to get rolling!
@Xiphonic Accepted. I was thinking I'd have to get you to go back and edit out the EXO suit, as it takes place in modern day, but then I said 'hey, its 2016, there has to be something along those lines in development somewhere' Great to have ya aboard
Sent a PM, but I'll also post my idea here- a Gun Runners style faction. Maybe they could just be an offshoot of the Gun Runners operating in the Outer Banks, or a new group that operates in a similar manner
Name- David Hawke (Ex-Lieutenant)

Appearance-

Age- 33

Nationality- American

Service History- -10 years of service with USMC in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
-Founding member and current Field Commander of The Syndicate throughout its 4 years since inception.

Bio- David comes from a very entitled family, with a strong sense of duty. As per the family tradition of the first born son serving the country David enlisted right out of high school, and ended up staying much longer than the mandated 18 months. It was in the Marines he met his brothers-in-arms and soon to be best friends Walter Price, Mike Payton, Jim Manuels, and Owen Riley. On April 18th, 2011, life as David knew it came to an abrupt and violent end. His squad was ambushed by insurgents. One by one he watched his friends go down or die as they waited for backup that arrived too late to matter. The four young men were transported home and given a top of the line military funeral, with each of them being posthumously awarded the medal of honor. David stood nearby, his own medal and the brand new Lieutenant's stripe on his coat burning a hole through his soul. David was forever changed by that day, his view of the world was completely shattered and he fell into a pit of depression and nihilism. His resignation from the military followed shortly and he retreated into the privacy of the family manor, where he spent several months in nearly-complete seclusion recovering from his injuries. At some point in late 2011, David was visited by a former ally of his father, Captain Johnathon Miller. In early 2012, The Syndicate Private Military Corporation was formally introduced to the world.

Notes- David has a strong personal code that he has incorporated into the very fabric of The Syndicate. World peace is un-achievable, we should instead strive to strike a balance between the good and evil of the world. That is, in essence, the purpose of The Syndicate, to be the primary administrator of balance, the flaw is, of course, that sense of balance is filtered through David's nihilistic world view. And what 'balance' means varies from country to country, person to person, job to job. On every level of the scale from micro to macro.
Premise:

The Syndicate PMC is a relatively new enterprise that is making headlines worldwide.... if you know where to look. To the informed public, they're a top rate subcontractor for federal governments, multi-national corporations, and even (on occasion) allied military groups. However, if one were to look behind the red curtain, they would find a group of cutthroat operators unafraid of getting their hands dirty to fulfill their leader's personal code, even if that means occasionally spilling innocent blood.

Rules:
-No Godmodding, powerplaying, or taking control/killing another player's character.
-Follow all RPG rules, no brainer.
-Standard DBAA rules apply (Don't be an asshole, starting fights in the OOC, me and any other Co-GMs I appoint will deal with any issues that arise. etc)
-If you are going to quit, make sure to tell me by PM, or in the OOC. This way I can write your character out of the story in a believable way.
-Everyone is allowed up to three characters.
-PM any questions or issues to me/other GMs

Character Sheet Format:

Name- (any nicknames in bracket)

Appearance- (pictures are fine)

Age-

Nationality-

Service History- (military or other PMC/militia work)(bullet form is fine)

Bio- (character history, go as detailed as you'd like, the one requirement I'll have is, say the 2-5 years of their life before joining up, who were they working for/what was their role? Why did they choose to join up with us? and a small piece on their personality)

Notes- (combat specialty/weapon preferences other little factoids or idiosyncrasies)

Intel:
This is where I'll be posting up information such as recaps of the story thus far, a roster of current characters, and any other important details. The first update I have planned is a complete breakdown of both sides of The Syndicate.
I'll begin putting together a thread, might be able to attract a couple more that way.

Edit: Done. roleplayerguild.com/topics/90205-the-s..
count me interested

Hopefully that pitch draws a few of you in. To explain things a bit further, there is an overarching plot, but its going to be revealed gradually over time, and in that interim we'll be taking on a more episodic format (we take a job, complete it, and move on). Of course in dealing with a highly corrupt organization like The Syndicate, one that doesn't discriminate in its client base, morality is going to be a big theme. Under the leader's 'code' (to be revealed in the RP itself) everything is fair game, but whether your own character agrees with stuff like staging a terrorist attack in order to secure a contract, is entirely up to you. That's the kind of internal conflict you can expect from this project, in fact taking part in that moral debate is more or less encouraged.
