BACK ALLEY. NORTH 21st STREET. PHILADELPHIA, PA. DAWN

CRACK

That was the sound of a skull being split in two, the thin metal blade of a climbing axe smashing through skin and bone as it burrowed its way to its gooey, pink destination. Jeremy Cooper pulled the tool back from the zombie's corpse with a smile as he rounded on his companion Ryan.

"That's five for me"
"Yeah, maybe if we're counting lifetime kills, kiddo" Ryan taunted "Even if we were counting the one you kicked off the bridge 4 blocks back, I'm still leading by two"
"Whatever Ryan. Day's still young yet" Jeremy replied as he waved the rest of their group forward and knelt down.

Andrew Connors led the way down the still-dark alley to regroup with the two young scouts.
"Ok everyone, we're finally inside the city. Eyes open and on alert from here on in. Shawn, you wanna run us down the plan?"
"Sure" He knelt down alongside Jeremy and unfolded a small penknife, which he used to scratch a map into the dirt.
"We're here" he began "There was a pharmacy here, just down this street, might be something useful still around. Gas station over here, couple more places like a pawn shop here, and a self-storage place back here. But the real target, the garage, is over here, on Pennsylvania"

"Ok, Mabel, take Fred and John, and hit the pharmacy and the pawn shop" Andrew said "Rest of us will move on the garage. We'll meet up at the gas station, and if we've got time, we could try the storage place before heading back to camp, any questions?"
"Get down!" Brick called as he dove to the ground to avoid their adversary's return fire. Rolling behind cover, Brick checked himself for injury then called out to Rex.

"You might as well give up, you're completely outnumbered. Surrender now, and we can part ways amicably. You keep this up though.. and I'll put you down the next time you poke your head out!"
Things are looking pretty grim. There has been no interest besides three people and honestly I don't know if this RP will get off the ground. It's a shame. I was really into a zombie apocalypse RP.

Don't worry guys, I haven't forgot you, just been a bit slow getting things off the ground because of work. I'm finishing off the last few 'behind the scenes' things and as soon as thats done, I'll get the IC up. Best guess, I'd say it'll be ready to go in 12 hours!

EDIT: Getting things going a little early. IC wil be going live within the next hour. We'll pick up at the beginning of a supply run, gonna leave an open thread at the camp, in case anyone doesn't wanna be apart of the scavenging.

All Accepted. You guys can copy your character sheets over to the Characters tab if you want. My character is posted up over there. The NPC list is updated, still a few more to throw up, and I guess I'll also explain whats actually happening:

We are a mobile group travelling on a Greyhound-style bus that is more or less wandering aimlessly. At the opening of the story, we have about 35 survivors. I don't think its a spoiler to say that tons of those people are going to die in short order. We're going to begin holed up in a rail yard on the outskirts of Philadelphia, where we managed to secure refuge as the bus broke down. A group is being organized to head into the city and obtain some critical parts needed for the repairs.
Name: Andrew Connors

Appearance:

Age: 33

Role: Leader.

Equipment: Glock 23 semi-auto pistol. Gerber Trident combat knife.

Bio: Andrew used to be a cop from the small town of Warrick, PA. He had a great job, amazing friends, a loving wife, and a young daughter. Until the day everything went wrong. A car accident claimed the life of his daughter, and with it, his entire purpose and belief in life. He retreated inwards, and grew distant from everyone in his life. He left behind his work on the front lines for a secluded desk job and buried himself in work, and his relationship with his wife degraded to the point that they were two severely depressed strangers who hardly spoke. She was suffering too, becoming slowly addicted to painkillers and high dosages of anti-depressants. Neither one of them hardly noticed the world as we knew it crumbling away around them. The undead plague swept over Warrick slowly at first, then spread like wildfire. Over the course of a couple weeks, the population dropped from about 1000 to less than 20. Those still alive holed up in town hall in an attempt to ride it out.

After three weeks of waiting, Andrew, along with fellow officer Carrie Jones and ex-Marine David Greene, came to the conclusion that no help was coming, and the few survivors set out in search of help. Their trip was a costly one, they lost most of their people within a week of leaving Warrick, Andrew's wife was among the casualties. They soon met Bryan Jeffries' mobile survivor camp and decided to join them.

Lookin good so far guys. I'll double check your CS's within the next 24 hours to make sure all is good, and I'll also be updating the OP with the rest of the NPCs, my character, and the group history section, and then I'll fill you in on the plan.

Well, come on in folks! Still have some work to do on the OOC, but it shouldnt take much.
Premise:
3 months have passed since a mysterious plague swept across the globe, wiping out 98% of the world's population. Society has fallen, and the dead have risen. In the north-eastern region of the United States, we find a group of travelling survivors who trudge forward, surviving strictly on a day-to-day basis.

A zombie RP taking place 2-3 months after the complete collapse of humankind to the mysterious plague. I do have a plot in mind that I hope you all would be interested in taking part in, and I'd really like to explore the themes of morality vs adapting to survive that the Walking Dead tv series frequently flirts with.

I'd like 3/4 to start, but there will be no limit on how many we'll have. I'll also have a cast of NPCs, more or less, just cannon fodder for the zombies to wipe out.
