Oh, my apologies. I thought you were referring to us. Yeah, no, those people need to "shush-y". Then again, this is some of their jobs -- to cool down any large scale hysteria. Which makes sense, I suppose, but there's always the possibility. It sucks that the people with common sense are treated as the "tinfoil hat conspirators" for thinking otherwise about how it can evolve, though.

It's not that we're ignorant, Dipper, it's that the possibility is exceeding low. It has never evolved into airborne before, but it's certainly possible to do so now. Since Ebola is considered a level four "hot zone" virus, we have absolutely no idea as to how it works. Scientists have been poking at it for plenty of years and not much is still known about it, so it could certainly evolve, but again, we really have no way to determine how it will be evolve.

My overall point is that this won't become like the movie "Outbreak" (which, is great, by the way, you should all go and watch it if you get the chance), which is the misconception that is being tossed from article to article.

Also, there's no reason to be rude when debating. It makes people less inclined to consider your debate points, the second you insult someone ("willfully ignorant") is when people stop listening to you. Okay, sorry, just had to say something because that made me twitch -- nonetheless, it makes none of your points less valid.

Like HIV, it is a grave and not-really-that-contagious disease. Unless you were planning on stealing from an Ebola patient and injecting it into certain areas of your body, you have literally nothing to worry about. It's spreading in the 3rd world because their sanitation and health practices suck ass beyond all human reckoning. Ebola will do precisely nothing to Americans in America.

No, but you're absolutely right. People keep trying to say that "they don't believe" it is not airborne, but there is zero scientific proof to back those claims. It's incredible what people can turn into politics these days ("I don't trust anything the administrators say!"). Fact of the matter is, Ebola's hard to spread, countries like the ones it hit in Africa are not very sanitized and spend little on Healthcare as it is.

But y'know, it'll cause Americans the fear and "OMG, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!" thought-processes.

Is anyone actually worried about this? I'm really not, I basically wrote an entire paragraph as to why I don't think Ebola will cause anything in the United States right now.

Putting on my tinfoil hat for a moment here, smells like a bit of a distraction to me. But hey, this seems to be the most political/historically-versed side of the Guild, so I'd love to hear some of your thoughts.

Hey, I'm Cynder. Some of you have had [the unfortunate] joy of Roleplaying with me and if you know me, you probably have heard me ask others about zodiacs or maybe even yourself. I'm very into western astrology and periodically take time to read and observe with topics involving Astrology.

So, that being said . . .

I had this topic on Iwaku before rejoining New Guild. Here, just tell me a bit about yourselves: personality-wise, interests, hobbies, any random trivial facts you can think of. Really anything, the more the better! Regardless of your beliefs, this has absolutely nothing to do with science, beliefs or otherwise and don't worry, my last intention is to "shove" this on you.

Feel free to join in yourselves! If you think you can guess someone's zodiac, then take a crack at it.

I'll give it about three guesses, though I usually guess correctly on the second try. I'll use reasoning to try to prove why I believe which zodiac you are. So, good luck and have fun, let's see if I can do this!

Alright that's fine. Having grammatical errors is a slight pet peeve of mine and I know this is Free, but it is remarked as "High Free" for a reason. And class, well, that's really just a label. You can give yourself anything, even a word that might just pop in your head. Otherwise, nothing else seems to be a misgiving of mine, so you'll accepted.

Arowne, if you could, add a class and you should be alright. And Kronshi and Arowne both, if you two can just slightly add information about the personality, maybe fix up the grammar a tad, that'd be great. Otherwise, you two are pretty much accepted with a slight pending status (just for Personality & Class and I may just excuse the lack of a personality).

Yes, there are humans that originate from Lucis. They actually hold about 15% of the world's population (not including animals). The same thing stands for "other races" being found on Earth (about 7%, up until twenty years ago, they were hidden and only existed by myth or legend). There are humans on Earth that can use magic, though they are much more rare and have less capability than any other race. Essentially, magic does equal magic, while Earth is generally technology, though there will always be exceptions.
