Specializes in polearm weapons and usually sticks to his lance, Farkas. Like most who choose the lance, he also carries a javelin that is used as a strategic "back-up" weapon of sorts, but doesn't use it as often. He does not wear sturdy armor, but instead, sticks to light armor for increased mobility through the snow and mountains which comes in two different colors: black and white. He owns both.

Always carries an icepick, a bag of rabbit leg in the case of being lost in a snow storm and a knife that can only be used for sharpening weapons or skinning any form of hunt.

Biography:
When Polaris was a child, a disease had swept through the settlement killing many. While infected by it, he was able to survive only to become a street urchin at a tender age. Looked after by his neighbors and elders, he was mentored by a retired hunter who had lost all three of her children to the same disease. Hardening himself through training and harsh winters, he later became a respectful officer of the land with his lance and a heart of steel.

Not considered the "best warrior" by far, he won his position of leader from being voted in as an "honorable hero" of sorts. He gained his position after taking leadership in a fight to the death against a surprise massacre. Many lost their lives and Polaris was believed to be among them. Though the circumstances of this skirmish in particular is not known to other Tribes.

Additional Information:
Viewed as cold and harsh by others and a bit of a brute on the battlefield for his strategic mind. He, however, does not resort to what one may refer to as "dirty means" or surprise attacks due to his proud ways, which can be more often seen as reckless than anything else. He is an extremely talented dancer and seems to enjoy fishing more than hunting.

A tribe of proud hunters and warriors. They are located farther north on the map, hidden behind the mountain range that stretches from the eastern plains upwards.

• Housing: Huts made of sturdy wood with titled roofs pointing upwards; each has a stone chimney for cooking and keeping warm.
• Food: Unable to grow most crops and rely more on fishing, hunting and livestock (mainly dairy). Very open to trading with other Tribes.
• Education: Children are taught by their parents, neighbors, the environment, culture and personal experience.
• Military: At the age of fourteen, all children are taught to fight to protect their land. Some may become high-ranking officers.
• Weaponry: A "weapon will choose its warrior" -- the weapon choices are variations of lances, axes, swords and bows.
• Society: Very patriotic and prideful and unable to be racist or sexist due to harsh conditions.
• Politics: Each "House" has a representative and everyone is heard, however, the strongest sword stroke is what matters most.
• Leadership: Can be earned by being an honorable hero, best warrior, high ranking officer or born of a high-ranking family.
• Diplomacy: Very secretive with other Tribes with the exception of their celebrations. Territorial, but will not hurt children.
• Etiquette: Blunt with speaking, most find Glacerians to be rude or offensive, however, they are raised to be respectful.
• Laws: The usual type of laws -- don't murder, steal, violate one's basic human rights, etc.
• Punishment: Usually banishment, sometimes it may be death.

Human Introduction

A soft, sweet melody wafts through the air. From the perspective of an Earthling, it's the most lovely and beautiful sound. It brings you serenity and maybe even joy. It's ironic, considering that as of late, you've been having a difficult time. The reasons always vary and it could be anything from loneliness, abuse, sadness or just plain boredom. Either way, after you hear it and exactly twenty-four hours have gone by. . POOF! You are no longer on Earth. No, instead . . you're somewhere you've never seen before. You're pretty sure this place doesn't even exist – and it doesn't, at least not to YOU. Maybe you'll freak out, cry or begin to look around – your reactions will vary. And it's only natural, considering you are no longer in your room, at home, at school or work, hell, you aren't even ON Earth anymore! But you ARE in Luminescence. Most easily described as a "fictional town" filled with creatures you've never seen before or some you may have heard before in only folklore, myth or stories. Some terrify you and others might interest you. But mainly, you might find yourself confused and scared. How will you ever return home? You don't know it yet, but being here is your destiny. You have a purpose here, but only if you are willing to fulfill it. Love Culture

As a human in Luminescence, there is only one way to stay in the fictional world if you wish: finding your one true love. And you are limited, especially in the source of time. You only have thirty days until the next Lunar Festival, thirty days until the next full moon – only thirty days until you are forced to return home if you don't fulfill the requirements. As tradition goes, once a creature or human find their one true love, a creature must ask a human for permission to perform the Lunar Dance with them, a dance that is performed at the monthly Lunar Festival – in order to seal their fate by binding. Binding does not necessarily mean marriage, but it does symbolize love and it officially makes the two a couple. It also allows a human to stay in Luminescence instead of returning to their real world. In order to marry, a human must offer the creature a tool of affection (it may vary from a ring, to a collar, it depends heavily on the creature's race) and propose to them from the Starry Crag. If the creature answers yes, then the two are able to hold a marriage ceremony and be bonded for life. In a couple, a creature generally protects the human. Creatures have access to animal forms, magic and various other attributes. A human generally wields a weapon to protect their lover in return. Couples choose their life after marriage, whether they'd like to have a home and "settle down" or travel the world: only the sky is the limit.

Improbi

An Improbous (or Improbi for plural) is a monster born from a human who refused to go home after failing to find true love. They are born of anger, hatred and betrayal. They appear like regular humans, but with a slightly deeper voice and dark as night aura. Because of their conditions of creation, they are far stronger than a regular human and have increased speed, strength and the ability to wield a weapon. Most are warned to avoid them – or kill them on sight.

• Hugs, kisses, all of that is permitted. Anything past that stage is "fade to black" or taken to PMs.
