Meiko awoke with a start -- this wasn't where she had remembered falling asleep, but then again, it didn't really matter since she was a traveler anyway. Still, she found it a bit suspicious. . her suspicions were quelled slightly after finding her companion, Frey, curled up next to the bed that she had awoken in and her lance resting across the room.
So what had exactly happened?
Eh, she didn't have time to think about it. Instead, she stood up, giving Frey a little kick and grabbed her lance before heading downstairs and being greeted by the Innkeeper. Immediately, her eyes were drawn to the musket and his friendly "demeanor". . there was nothing more dangerous than a friendly stranger in her eyes. .
She had to lie and "cover up" the fact that she was lost. "Can you tell me where to find a blacksmith?" Her small dragon stumbled down the staircase, wrapping its tail around her feet. It was still small enough to fit inside most buildings and co-exist with humans, though it was still much larger than her. "I need to get work done on my lance, it's getting a bit dull."
