"Thanks for the offer but I gotta say no at the moment," Kav said to Margot, "Plus Sam, the nice girl who just walked away from us, gets sea sick really easily so I need to stay of sound mind for the voyage ahead." Kav put his hands on his waist and laughed heartfully. "Find me later though."

Kav knew Sam would try to be productive as possible before the sailing actually started, which was soon, and much as talking to this dazzling heroine was possibly interesting there were still so many people still arriving and looking itching for something to do. He didn't want to go far from Sam when the sailing started but for now it looks like everyone could use some focus until the boat s ready to go. Having more hands on deck would be helpful but amateur's trying to tie boat knots amongst other things would be disastrous. Sam was still close enough to where he could still see her, talking to a rather dreadful looking women. Kav held up a finger to Margot, signaling her to wait a moment, then bent his knees slightly. As soon as Kav had had done so he sprung up and backwards, twisting his body sideways, as he landed on the fishing vessels railing slightly above and farther back than where he had been standing.

"Hiya everyone," Kav had spoken loudly to everyone on and approaching the vessel, "So yea hi. Looks like its gonna be just a short moment before we are ready to go. Everyone here looks so intriguing and I was hoping for a bit of a roll call for this little party we have here. I'll start."

Kav looked out towards the small sea of faces now looking at him. He had not lied everyone here simply oozed potential and power in front of him, all of whom where all manner of shapes and sizes. It had been a long time since Kav had been part of a large group and he was glad Sam was here. Mainly because if he had to be here working he was damn sure he was gonna make sure she was along for the ride. Kav could spot the Blonde Table Top Man amongst the members on board which wasn't surprising but he was glad he had a chance to see what magicky gook this guy could perform. Jumping through windows might be overkill but tamer spells would be nicer to see. Close by was a very do-not-fuck-with-me looking guy, there was an enchanting vision of a women near a board looking man, and a very elegant blonde girl too. More faces were in the crowd but Kavius coughed into his hand and pressed on.

Kav pointed towards Sam. "But First that's Sam over there. My name is Kavius Hishamie but you guys can call me Kav or whatever. Im nineteen, lived a very "nomad" life, and I fight in whatever manner I want at the moment....usually with a sword," Kav said putting a hand on the hilt of his sheathed sword. "Whose next?"

Kavius had forgotten how bad Samara was on a boat. The fact that she was so susceptible to sea sickness had completely been lost on him for awhile since it had been so long since they have had to take a boat somewhere together. Kav whistled softly and shrugged. So he wouldn't have the one person at his side he trusted, so what? They were a big group and Kav was sure they all had the same goal in mind. Probably. Sam came first though. Kav put his arm around Sam and softly punched her shoulder.

"Ah my bad I completely forgot about that Sam sorry getting ahead. Don't worry though just focus on saving your energy. Also at closer inspection, if you throw up on board I don't think anyone would notice after all," Kav joked.

Kavius removed his arm from Sam and softly grabbed her wrist. After seeing people start boarding he wanted to hurry up and go.

"But no time like the present lets go."

Kavius walked towards and onto the boat with Sam. Looking around the bow of the ship and calmly believed that fire was only possible solution for a boat this disgusting. But he had been on a slave boat before that was returning from a long voyage and that was by far the grossest boat he had been on. Letting go of Sam and grabbing the lollipop out of his mouth Kav walked around the bow a little. The ship had a decent crew and all, the price of being a fishing vessel was this ultimately, but he wanted to help if he could. In the end though Kav went against any helping at the time to not be in the crews way. He walked back over to Sam and sighed.

"What do you wanna do until we take off"?

Kavius was delighted at least someone in this array of characters enjoyed the phenomenon that is candy but everything else about the energetic girl somewhat threw him off. He wanted to say she was possibly someone he could stand to be around but it seems like she is the type of women who is very outgoing and very brazen, in a loud and confident way. That could cramp his always-trying-to-sneak-away-and-nap plans. Kav slightly sighed softly to himself remembering this was a job Sam would kill him over if he tried to do that so soon. He slightly touched the lower part of his shiner and winced. It hadn't hurt per say, especially since the man had be of no challenge to him, but it was still uncomfortable to have on his face. Maybe one of the spooky magic men here could heal it? Kav generally listened but stayed quiet to and during the main part of dialogue so far as he had nothing to do with most of these adventurers save the fact they all seemed to be willing to work together to get this job done. The money will be nice, Kav thought to himself, even if its split so many ways. Hearing finally their destination and seeing the ship they were going to be using made Kavius somewhat nervous about the journey. The ship seemed like she had seen better days and it was quite filthy. To elaborate Kavius was not worried in anyway about anything combat wise. He knew that with the men and women that were going to be onboard, including himself, any opponent they faced would regret their life choices up till that moment. The filth though........Kav hated being filthy. Realizing something important and realizing they had some time to before they moved out Kavius ignored the others and turned to Samara.

"Hey sammyo listen. I'm.....going out of character for a minute so if you make fun of me I am gonna put your fingers in a mug of water again when your sleeping when this job is over," Kavius said to Samara with a serious look on his face and in a voice loud enough to be overheard albeit this was unintentional. "So I know you know a lot and all but lets go back over ship facts since its been awhile since the last we were on a boat, plus the few times we were on a ship we were stowaways". "Remember port side means left side and starboard means right". "The Stern is the back of the ship which should also be the strongest part of the ship as well", Kavius said to Sam as he thumbed towards the direction of their sea vessel, "I ain't sure if that thing over there will actually be in super duper great condition but when we get on we should assess the ship ourselves if we aren't given a task immediately". "We should see from the inside what the condition of the ship is, and then we find eachother and exchange notes. We need to find the strongest structural side of the ship in case something happens on the sea. If we need to hide anyone or hide ourselves for some reason that is the best place to go to", Kav said then leaned in and lowered his voice, "Also if we steal anything it would be better to stash it near the strong side of the ship and retrieve it later".

Kav chuckled slightly and leaned back to his original spot, and spoke up again.

"When you meet another sailboat, the boat which is on starboard tack has the right of way over the boat on port tack. The leeward boat has right of way over the windward boat and an overtaking boat must keep clear". "Those are very important not written down rules of the sea".

Kavius was extremely happy on the inside in the moment. His old mentor had taught him very little outside surviving in wildlands and such but there did come a time where he was taught a little boating. He and his mentor had not gone very far from shore but they had been on a personal mission. A very rude man had stolen something from them and was trying to sail away. Kavius and his mentors plan to sabotage the boat the night before went swimmingly though and they were able to rent a crew and boat willing to fight and sail just a little bit away off shore. They had a hell of fight, retrieved their belongings, and brought a notorious criminal to justice. On the sail back to shore his mentor had convinced their rent-a-sailor friends to teach Kavius a little. Kav was enraptured at something so foreign to him and returned to visit their new friends when he was near and they were docked. Even after his mentor left him Kav had reunited with his sea dog friends who still taught him new ship related things whenever they could. Kav had always learned at what nearly seemed like twice the rate of others, which is in part why he loves to slack off and nap. Kav pulled his thoughts together and silently thanked his mentor, wherever he was.

"I doubt we will get more than four..maybe five knots out of this ship if we are lucky". "But most importantly Sam do not I repeat do not throw up inside the ship because it really really sucks to have to clean it up".

Kavius popped one a small lollipop in his mouth and scratched the back of his neck, forgetting he was shirtless and exposing his damp physique and muscular upper body tonnage.

"Damn I hate effort Sam". "But not as much as I love candy".

Kavius believed that they probably would come across some unsavory individuals and there was a chance sea creatures wouldn't ignore them, but this thought just seemed to rile him up. There wasn't much he could say to Sam on that front she didn't already know. It did not matter the stage, a fight was something he and Sam would never lose together.

Kavius shrugged, sighed, then jogged past Blone Table Top Man with a two finger fun salute meant to mean "Sorry, Mom said no". It wasn't gonna be fun without Sam, and to be fair she did seem to drag him along as often as he did the same to her. Except this time he got away with minimal pain so that was a plus. Kav had ignored the comings and goings of the bar remnants, but he guess since he hadn't left much room to talk to everyone at the bar he supposed it was possible there were better options. Kavius would miss the Blonde Table Top Man and his crazy antics. The spark of hope that they would reunite was bright within the heart of Kavius, he would not despair. To the port he and Sam went!

Kavius trailed behind Sam but found himself distracted shorty before reaching the port. There was a man selling loaves of bread by the street corner nearby/ Kavius loved himself some street bread and was more than willing to fall behind Sam a bit to purchase a loaf of bread. He had walked up to the stand when out of the corner of his eye he noticed a man selling candy even further down. Kavius apologized to the bread vendor and scuttled away to the candy vendor, purchasing a small pouch containing a multitude of candy varieties. Unwrapping a small, spherical lollipop and putting it in his mouth Kavius felt a surge of joy as the never tiring burst of sweet flavor flooded his oral entry point. Candy was truly, in the mind of Kavius, the best thing ever made by people. Now that he had a small stash of candy on him Kavius supposed he should be getting back to Sam. She had said the port was their destination, and he wasn't far away at all. Sam was probably about to be there at any moment so Kavius turned and started walking back to where he had been with Sam before he wandered off.

Getting back on track was one thing, heading in the right direction was easy, what happened next was more fun than anything else. Kavius walked with a purpose in his steps to try to catch up with Sam, but to do it at his own pace which is always important. Kav did not believe he was special in any way, nor did he think himself greater than anyone else. This was not a pessimistic opinion because Kav believed that everyone, from King to urchin, was born the same will also share the same fate as each other. That we will all die, that we all have a natural end, and we cannot escape it. That's one of the reasons he enjoys living in the moment so much, because he never knew when he would come to his final day. The reason this is being explained is to understand Kavius did not think himself better than anyone but did have a bad habit of saying things in a way many would consider rude. That and if you couldn't keep his attention he would leave or start doing something else when he became bored with something.

Kavius was stil feeling the soaked spot on his back from when he was hit in the bar and the dampness of the middle of the back of his shirt and back was alarmingly distracting to Kav. He would attempt to adjust his shirt to possibly fix this and to feel the wetness a little less but would only succeed in making his entire back wet and most of the back of his shirt damp or soaked. This is what caused Kav to ignore what was in front of him and walk straight into a rather large, appearing to be middle aged, man causing Kav to fall down and the other man to stumble backwards. Kav stayed seated on the ground for a few moments. Realizing slowly what happened and trying to ignore the other guy yelling at him, Kavius stood up and brushed himself off. A sudden realization came over Kavius. Now he could feel....dirt on his back. His wet shirt made some dirt cling to the back of his shirt! Kavius looked the other man in eyes and spoke, cutting off the other mans angry rant.

"What gives you the right to yell at me? You seem to be fine, but as you can clearly see my wet shirt was dirtied. Now I am wearing a dirty shirt, and it feels slightly not good", Kav spoke with a fire in his heart, "and who gave you the authority to let me walk into you? Did you yourself by chance happen to not be aware of your surroundings as well? Other people moved- WHY DIDN'T YOU MOVE?"

For that Kavius received a punch a the face, blackening his left eye but his feet were planted firmly to the ground. The middle aged man thought he had succeded in knocking Kavius out, but as the seconds passed and Kav had not fallen the stranger grew nervous. Kavius slowly turned his head with the strangers fist still planted on his face.

"The audacity of this bitch. What - gave - you - the -right," Kav said as for every word he spoke he took action. Kav grabbed the mans wrist on the hand that was touching his face, twisted and lowered the wrist downwards, as he yanked back he brought his knee up to the strangers chin, dropped the mans wrist and side stepped around him, and as the man was on his knees Kav kicked the mans side and sent the stranger flying sideways and landing against a wall, " To do that to me. That was very rude.....Ok I may ave been rude too."

Kavius looked around and saw he had drawn attention with his theatrics again. Kav sighed, then proceeded to take off his dirty shirt.

"No need to be alarmed folks," Kavius said to the ground as he threw his shirt to the ground, "That man there......kissed my sister!"

Kavius bowed then quickly walked away towards his original destination. He ended up behind Sam as she finished speaking, giving her and everyone a thumbs up. Realizing he had a fresh shiner and no shirt, Kav stood up straight and spoke confidently

"Hello, wonderful to be here. I'm Kav, does anyone want a piece of candy," Kav asked as he reached into his back pouch and pulled out a few pieces of small spherical candy and offered a piece for everyone.

Kyle Hishamie

Anything magical that could have happened his life? Nothing in Kyles mind stood out when he tried to think of something magical he had experienced. So he thought of it another way. There was a chance he had experienced some.....unusual things before. Thinking back he had an unusally high amount of luck back in the army, and even when he was younger than that, when trying to fix something. That was about the only thing Kyle could think of that would be in the "extraordinary" category. He remembered that was something that usually could make him stand out, Kyle secretly never knew how he was able to fix anything he put his mind to. At times Kyle has even rebuilt things that he knew barely anything about and was able to do it in record time. Kyle realized that this might be related to what Elysia was asking about and to be honest when Kyle thought back to moments he had fixed something that others had given up on Kyle realized he had such a similar feeling to when he used his Emotional Suggestion. Kyle wondered to himself if that meant he had magic since he was born and if he did what else had he done that he didn't understand?

Kyle had not spoken any of this out loud but decided to answer Elysis before he would leave.

"I'm really good at fixing things."

That was all that was said by Kyle before he left grabbed his binder, left the table, and walked out of the café. It was fine if everyone wanted to wait until tomorrow, but he felt restless and unable to not think about what was going on? What was he? Could he control anyone now, or was his power not meant to be used in such an aggressive way? He wanted to find out and while he did feel better than before he could tell the toll he paid for his powers was worse internally. Getting over emotional made him feel a whiplash from his powers that he could tell he wouldn't survive twice in a single night. Could he get away with minimal damage if he changed what he suggested? Like how deep of a suggestion could he even perform? So many questions and he only had until tomorrow to figure it out before the fun little group activity planned. Kyle wanted to wait a little bit before using his powers again, just had a feeling it would be a little dangerous since he had pushed himself so much earlier, so Kyle settled on finding his dorm room. He had paper with directions on how to find it, which was helpful since Kyle was intensely directionally challenged.

Later in the night..

Kyle found his dorm room, although it took quite awhile to do so. To become lost or to lose your way is something anyone can do. What Kyle does is truly spectacular. Somehow he had started on the right track and ended up nearly on the other side of campus! He went to the wrong building multiple times. The only reason he was able to find his dorm in truth was because he had started asking strangers for help. That was slightly discouraging but Kyle shook those thoughts out of his head. Kyle entered his room and sat on his bed, taking in where he was going to be sleeping for the foreseeable future. Kyle missed his apartment already but there was no point in paying for an apartment when a dorm was free. That was when he remembered he was suppose to have a roommate. He still had no idea who they were going to be, but that would be something he would deal with later. Kyle pulled out a small notebook from his binder and began writing things down. This notebook would be what he used to document his powers, magic in general, and any other information that might be useful.

Kavius easily avoided anything thrown towards him unintentionally. Never moving his feet from the spot he was standing, Kavius would twist and duck whenever a bottle or other small bar items barrowed his way. To Kav this wasn't exactly the last thing he wished to do today and yet he felt like he could have been doing better things. Sitting for example. Much more preferred than standing. Also drinking something, laughing at something, probably but hopefully not getting hit by Sam for something he knows he did nothing wrong as a matter of fact. Instead he gets to not only start working, avoid getting involved in a bar fight, and......well actually that was all there is to it. Kav had gotten himself involved in this with Sam but he had a feeling if he hadn't then Sam would have said something first for sure. Kav had watched Sam as she did her thing with grace and fluidness that you wouldn't have believed she possessed if you didn't know her, is what he believed. Usually they came out better for it and Kav couldn't think of a single time they had been together where Samara performed her not-magic magic and he had to save her in some way. Not including when that option was part of a pre determined plan at the very least. Kav frowned slightly when certain thoughts appeared in his mind after having another good look at all of the different warriors, rogues, and mages were present. Did he have what it took to do something so many people like those before him were willing to pair up for? He knew how to survive off the land when barely anything was around, he knew to cover his tracks and evade those who he did not want to meet, he knew how to spot and setup an ambush, and he knew how to handle himself with or without a sword. Kav could feel the power in the air, even if it may have only been some form of nerves. To be around people stronger than him in such different ways was not a new experience for Kavius bt at the same time he had a gut feeling that he was truly among some extraordinary individuals at the moment. Sure, most people here were stealing or fighting or cursing and drinking or all of the above but that did not change the gut feeling Kav was having.

Seeing Sam finished having her fun and walked back near him then talking with the blonde table person sort of jogged Kav back to reality and out of his head. He smiled and sighed, of course this train of thought got him nowhere. Confidence slowly filled Kav again as he remembered only idiots charge in blindly. Of course you can't win every fight the same way and seeing so many different types of people here just reminded Kav that meant he just needed to keep improving and fight smart. The urge to slack off began to appear within Kav but with a tighting of his fist he kept the will to work. At least for a bit, then he assumed a well deserved nap. That was the main issue Kav faced in his life at the moment, the will to keep to one task. The harder it was, like training, the less he was interested in. Kavius was glad that he had Sam by his side in the moment, she was a very good reminder that if he did start slacking off he would probably get beat to the point of bleeding by the end of the adventure which was a very unpleasant thought to Kav. Another unpleasant thought is this. A man using magic to magic himself out a window is unnecessary and a lot of effort. With Blond table top gone, he really didn't know what else to do except follow. Kav nudged at Sam and spoke loud enough for her to understand him.

"Welp....Im gonna go follow that guy around. I feel like a loud energetic guy like Blonde Table Top Man probably wouldn't betray us. Probably. Plus since you've had your fun," Kav said as he rolled his eyes with a smile, "lets avoid any type of injury before we even start the job."

Kav gave Sam slight curtsie then ducked, narrowly avoided being hit by broken off piece of bar chair log. Kavius raised himself up from his bow and tried to hide his suprise. He gave a hearty laugh and cracked his knuckles.

"Too easy is what I say. If we wanted we could take stop this easily but we-," Kav tried to say as he suddenly felt something break on his back leaving a wet, moist sensation to the touch. Also his back stung now.

This time Kavius could contain the suprise he felt from appearing on his face because mostly he was dismayed more than anything. Feeling as well little cold. Kav sighed and simply rolled his eyes again with a smile on his face now at Sam, then simply turned around and began walking towards the exit/entrance door next to the broken window. He had to duck and spin at times to avoid being hit, at times still a small splash of liquid something droplets hit him from time to time. He reached the door quickly abut calmly opened the door and walked out. looking over and spotting Blonde Table Top Man, Kav shrugged and began walking towards him to see where they were going next.

Kyle Hishamie

Kyle had taken in everyones opinions and thoughts on their next course of action. The group seemed genuine and open for the most part, or at least as open as anyone will be around people they had only recently met. Kyle was sure that he wasn't the only one who had troubles in their life and that others surely had it worse than someone as worthless as himself. But this power.....this could change things. At least in time. Nothing is set in stone and all boulders will be moved or crumble so long as persistence keeps on. Kyles outlook had changed only a very small bit but it was enough. Enough for Kyle to believe that maybe..just maybe..he could be a little better than he thought he could be. He was special in his own way and he could believe that now without thinking special ed. The pain had mostly vanished from Kyles body and with the blood wiped off inside his pocket no one will know. At least that is what Kyle believed. The man that touched him, he had felt his pain. Felt what Kyle had gone through, in just a moment. Ok so maybe they will have a general idea. But now Kyle understood. Excitement had bubbled from within him and Kyle had spoken in such manner that was very unlike him. Embarressed, but willing to look forward. Nervous, but shoes were firmly on the ground and his body was getting back into full fighting strength. His wits had deserted him but Kyle had collected himself.

"Emotional Suggestion," Kyle muttered under his breath, "I will figure this out."

Kyle focused back on the group but as he was about to speak he noticed Elysia. She seemed..well peculiar was the wrong word for it but he couldn't help but think that if he was living in a world of what might be magic, and everyone here is in some way special, then her specialty was? Kyle had been in too much pain to absorb what everyone said the entire time. Plus to make it worse he had suggested something to her. She was probably a wreck. A quiet mousy wreck. Since others in the group had been less than happy with him about , even if overall they seemed to understand he couldn't control it, she probably.....Kyle ignored the comments made by those who wished him harm and spoke to the group.

"If we are gonna do this and you want me to be on point with Caleb then...t-then here is what we need to do", Kyle said nervously, "I think if we are gonna go talk to the professor then we should be moving in a pincer formation. Look if we are being honest we are all adults here. If Caleb and I go talk to the teacher then we should have Elysia as the second head of this formation. I was out for a lot of the conversation mentally but from what I've seen, Elysia, has a uniqueness about her connected to her art. I think while Caleb, Val, and I confront the professor in a secure location then Kalama and Rowan should assist Elysia in making sense of her power. Something that can show a moment in time before it happens could lead to us being able to get answers hopefully quickly.. Also to do your own research on what is happening to us all specifically. We kind of did our own show and tell somewhat so now if we can understand the origins and traits and links to our own gifts then we can help those of us that don't need help with their powers in the way they need it most."

Kyle was proud of himself for talking like this without stuttering or pausing for so long but it is a given since it wasn't as if he had never been in charge back in the army before. But this was a different time, a different era, in his life and Kyle didn't believe he could muster up the strength again in such a informal setting. Kyle suddenly remembered something important.

"But if you want, like the russian said, you should wait until tomorrow. I think going now to the professor will be the best course of action but research can wait. With that being said, we should also probably stay close for the upcoming days just in case something peculiar happens," Kyle said also realizing something else in that moment, "I mean...I-I think that is the way should go about this if we wanna be smart. Splitting up is just tactical. if its in groups."

Kyle stood up confidently and crossed his arms. Ready to go and start this thing.

Kavius was delighted when Samara took the lead ahead of him. Sam had firmly grasped his wrist and simply guided him towards the correct path to take, which was something Kavius adored about Sam. That she knew him pretty well and still believed she had the authority to do things like grabbing him and leading him to places without asking. Granted to be grabbed was simply something abhorrent to Kavius and to be led away in a direction he didn't choose? Kavius would shudder when thinking of such a horror to befall his personage. But for the same reason he did not fight against this at the moment was because........Sam was Sam. Nothing more needed to be said or even dwelled upon in the mind of Kavius. While traversing through the crowd on their way to the bar Kavius had spoken to Samara even though the rather large dwelling of similar minded individuals and people selling their wares made it difficult to be heard.

"You know I dont that I drink that often Sam-a-lam", Kavius more or less tried to yell while resisting the urge to laugh as he spoke, "Or get that drunk really. Except for when you switch out my mug, and yea I know you do it! I just always forget about it until after it happens!"

Kavius at first only wanted to use this as an excuse to go goof off and possibly spend a little money, but actually doing this job might be fun. Maybe? Sam seemed into it, so with that thought Kavius decided. Once they finished goofing off he would show a little enthusiasim about the job. Sure, when he gets bored Kavius guessed he would just walk away and find something else to do. Or just take a nap. He had not truly done any exploring since arriving here, which was something he truly enjoyed when done somewhere far away from cities and settlements, but in truth their money troubles were a constant issue at the moment. Kavius tried to not spend money frivolously but then again in truth Kavius assumed they would be very far away from civilization for the majority of their time spent here when the group first arrived. Especially not such a lucrative job offer as well. Since Sam had been able to hawk all of the stuff they "acquired" in that golem fiasco and get a decent price for a bit of it they were fine at the moment. It had not been too long since they had such a heavy pouch, but Kavius was just happy that Sam was overzealous with joy over their pouch.

The duos short travel came to end as Kavius and Samara arrived in front of the tavern. Samara relayed to Kavius that this apparently was the best place in the area for the best drink. Kavius could believe it, but he had not had that high of an opinion of most of the city already. Including this area. With a pep in his step and a smile that matched his mood Kavius skipped once to be ahead of Samara as they walked towards the tavern.

"Excuse me fair maiden," Kavius said to Sam as he turned his head so he could look at at Sam from his left side as they walked to the tavern, "but please allow me to walk ahead. Someone who is as precious as you should never ever walk into a building first. Its just manners." Kavius was failing to supress a grin when he spoke, Sam was probably gonna get her revenge for this public spectacle.

As first Kavius entered the bar, who was then joined by Sam a moment later, the wonderful smell that came along with a tavern hit their nostrils like a slap on the face. Not that Kavius was going to complain, it wasnt truly awful by any means. Kavius also guessed he should probably refrain from anything that looks like disrespect until they were both inebriated because clearly thats what they both had come here for. So Kavius looked around the Tavern for a moment, remembering at that moment that seeing so many different kinds of people did excite him a little at times.

"Alright Sam-a-lam, lets -", tried to say before he was cut off by a rather handsome fellow who had jumped upon the flat surface of the bar table he was near.

Upon words Kavius had never expected to hear words of recruitment for that scout job at this moment of time but, true to his own personal beliefs and convictions, Kavius instantly shot his hand over and gently pulled on Sams nearby wrist upwards until it looked like........someone was holding up the hand of someone else.

"Right here", Kavius said loudly. The reality was that Kavius did indeed mean it when he thought to himself how he would take the job seriously. Sam wouldn't hit him and they could use the money. This personal conviction was enough to cause Kavius to react physically as he did before stopping to think. "She volunteers...and so do I", Kav spoke with a slight hint of exacerbation in his voice.

"Oh Sam. Sam Sam Sam", Kavius spoke in a melodic voice as he sheathed his sword,"We..could go look for transportation. It's very tempting yes."

Kavius spun around and faced Samara with his left hand on his sword hilt and right hand against his chest balled in a fist.

"Listen Sam, did you not hear the hairy loud man? So many people are suffering so much right now, and there isn't a damn thing we could do", Kavius spoke then took a step toward her and lightly and jokingly punched her shoulder,"We truly should be grateful for our fortunatate health. I mean come on lately all we have been doing is either training our butts off or doing some dreadful work for an abysmal amount of coin. Like when we were commissioned to retrieve that locket and ran ended up having to fight a depressing wizard and his golems. The magic guy was so sad! I mean.....I truly think he was crying for most of that fight."

The Past,
The situation in question happened within their most recent jobs, where a Nobleman had sent out flyers for a job. It paid absurdly low for what this man could apparently afford to offer so there weren't any takers. Sam had convinced Kav through her usual persistence. Kavius suspected that it had something to do with the details that had been with the flyer. That the locket had belonged to his late son, who had passed away recently. Kids seemed to be Sams soft spot in certain cases, not always but he guessed in this case it was enough for Sam. So after meeting the Noble Lord, and learning more of where the locket was located. Unsurprisingly it was in a not more than a days ride cave. Apparently the locket had been stolen, and when the bandit in question was located and apprehended he claimed he been unable to sell it so soon and had dropped in further in the cave. Since the man did not have the locket they were forced to believe him, since the locket had not turned up anywhere else where the thief could have hawked it.

Kavius set out with Sam in tow, on horseback, and made it to the specified cave within a days travel. Kavius could barely contain his boredom, saying that there was no way they were gonna find anything except some bandit droppings. Maybe a bear. Probably a squirrel. The cave was much deeper than it seemed, seeing as it contained a latch door to an underground passage of sorts. Kavius was very little help, complaining about how dare whoever made this passage build it here. He wanted to nap in the sun. There was no sun underground. Samara, in her own way, dealt with Kavius and was successful in keeping track of him, so he didn't wander off out of curiosity. Which was of no real threat considering his lack of interest in what they were doing. They faced several small creatures, which seemed to be made out of some sort of dirt or mud. After about twenty minutes of traversing, Kavius had almost about had it with this underground labyrinth when the duo came upon what seemed to be the near end of this underground of mystery.

A wooden door, with three bars near the top with lighting spilling out, came into view. Kavius and Sam watched as an almost sickly looking man in a robe worked on what appeared to be a rather large Golem. Kavius had only read about them before, but he was able to identify it immediately. Unfortunately another smaller golem creature behind them made an increasingly loud noise, alerting the magic man and all of his creations. Battle commenced immediately, and it was a spectacular battle. Kavius was only somewhat unable to remember much more about the Golems he read about, but held his own ground. Sam had his back, in her own way, but was unable to take down the magic caster at the root of this problem. All the while yelling mostly incoherent words, while at times being able to make out self deprecating claims. When he wasn't doing that, he was screaming his agenda.

All in all the battle was longer than it should have been but short over all. Kavius abhorred how this lunatic would dare interrup his nap time, and asked him what gave him the auhtority! In response Kavius was struck in the face by the enemies attack, while Sam finished off the opponent. They would find the locket amongst several possessions that were deemed "not that guys stuff". The duo would return the locket, while hording the rest of the valuables, but to their surprise they would receive no payment as the locket had seemed to receive a crack on the outer shell. That was not the entirety of their adventure, but Its what Kavius mostly remembered.

Back in the present,
"Sam this is gonna be an awesome awesome adventure, but would getting to work right this very minute help at all?"

Kavius turned on his heels and began to walk away.

"Im sixty percent sure I saw a tavern close by that seemed lively. Lets go look for it, or we can go looking for some street wise urchins to adopt and train."

Kyle Hishamie

Over 150 men and women were imprisoned because they were accused of witchcraft. 19 men and women were hanged, 1 man was crushed and 7 people died in prison. The place in Salem where the 'witches' were hanged became known as Gallows Hill. People would gather there to watch the latest witch be hanged.

As the conversation seemed to be leaning into what sounded like possibly either breaking and entering, assault, or at the very least theft. Kyles pain started to recede at a slow and meticulous pace. As well as the medicine he was given. It was enough, at the very least to allow Kyle to quickly make sense of what he was able to listen to and retain while in pain during the current conversation. He did something, that much he could quickly but not happily come to terms with, he affected everyone with whatever he did, but what did he do exactly? Kyle believed that only he could figure out. How? Kyle thought for a moment what had led up to.....whatever happened. He remembered it was now more than probable that he did something to Elysia earlier. But...she had not done anything unusual? She did not scream in pain at the very least or bleed. Kyle remembered that she had seemed suddenly........well admittedly he had not been super attentive to how she had been acting but still she seemed somewhat...in a better mood? The Group had not seemed very happy when he talked?........talked...... Then again he didn't remember talking to just Elysia well ever. They had only just met. Kyle suddenly opened his eyes now having a theory of what he did. When Kyle spoke next he kept his head down but spoke loud enough for anyone who was listening in the group to hear.

"I..I think everyone just now...felt whatever they felt because of me. I don't want to believe in friggin magic or super powers for Christ's sake but...at least to me..I think I told ya'll how to feel. Or suggest it at the very least considering what I said. When I was talking earlier, when I started not to feel so great, I think I used this power and it affected Elyisa. Why her? because she was closest in proximity."

Kyle coughed once into his hand, and in seeing a few red drops in his palm, he quickly lowered his hand put it in his pocket.

"Then just now, I got...really ticked off....n-not about you guys personally but because well....ya'll know. So I think when I said what I said but filled with some intense feelings the power expanded shortly and affected all of you in the group. I..I felt different when using this power. I felt really really emotional. I don't like it, and I am sorry everyone."

Kyle looked up at everyone when he spoke these last words then continued.

"I think I will call it...E Word Power...Feelings radar.....Emotional Sonar....I don't know its not important..."

Kyle felt embarrassed but pressed on.

"Anyways...I'm not sure if the history teacher of all people would be into something weird like with what's happening but if ya'll want Ill come with. I have a- Emotional Suggestion! That's what Ill call it."

Kyle was beyond embarrassed now but he couldn't help it, he was a little excited at the possibility he could do....something he didn't quite understand.
