Thousands Of Feet March To The Beat: A French Foreign Legion RP

Well, it's not an overwhelming response,but it's good enough! I got a lot of other things going on IRL and in the forum, so don't expect anything too fast, but here's the CS whilst you wait:

Character Sheet

Name: Self-explanatory
Age: The FFL is made up of the dregs for the most part; if you look the right age, they won't care if you're fourteen or forty. We're trying to keep this relatively... Open-ended, but for the most part, the age caps will be set so that the youngest you can be is 17 and the oldest you can be is 35
Gender: Yes, this will be accepting females. No, you cannot be public with it. If you're female, strapped chests, short hair, all of that needs to be done. And, you better have a damn good reason for a woman joining the legion.
Religion: Christian, Hindu, Orthodox Christian... No muslims please, for pretty obvious reasons. Atheists maybe allowed, but this is the mid-to-late 19th century, so it's highly unlikely.
Nationality: It's not called the foreign legion because a bunch of Frenchmen are in it! Most European nationalities are fine, as well as 'west' Asians, Russians. No northern Africans though, sorry!
Speciality: We really only need three people as specialists: a drummer, a fife player and a flag bearer. I'll be RP'ing the officer, so no need to take care of that.
Appearance: Fairly simple this one. Mostly writing please, at least a paragraph, preferably two or three, with an occasional reference picture if you wish. Note that we'll all be issued legionnaire uniform, so bear that in mind.
Backstory: A good few paragraphs, around three or four is minimum. Early childhood, young adulthood and motivations for joining the legion need to be included in here please.
Personality: Sum up your character's outlook on life in a few sentences so we all know what s/he's about.
Strengths: What's your character good at? Is s/he particularily strong, or maybe s/he has exceptionally good eyesight, or local knowledge. Everyone's good at something, so tell us what it is!
Weaknesses: On the flip side though, nobody's perfect. Maybe your character's one of the duller tools in the shed, or perhaps s/he's a few marbles short.

@Pudding Just so you know, Tori is calling her Sugar rush, welcome to the group. We do live on campus, yes, as many of us are foreign. Separate dorms for males/females, more to come in the IC post.
@Animal One large school/homeroom group. There's only about 10-13 of us, which is a pretty small class even in private schools.

Well, Dan is already an entertainer, so I suppose that's there. One thing I noticed right away is that the floor plan is pretty nondescriptive. Maybe get a stage, a proper bar area, a lounge, an area for eating, that sort of thing?

The new entretainer coughed and gripped the hand firmly, before reaching in his pocket for the key he had been given, and picked up the various bags and instruments he had brought in. His shoes once again clinked against the floor, before he vanished upstairs.

His room was nice, it had to be said. The bed was bigger than a single, but not quite a double, and there were somehow electrical sockets. He supposed that the multi-dimensional quality of the tavern meant it would be an amalgamation of different tech, but it was still strange to see.

He unzipped the suitcase and rustled around for first his hygiene bag, next his formal clothing; the boss had asked to see a performance, so he would have to comply.

When he walked down, he was clean-shaven, and his hair had been trimmed slightly. In one of his hands he was holding a trumpet, the metal polished and shiny, seemingly slightly glowing within the light. The mouthpiece wasn't on it yet, but he had it in his pocket, and lightly adjusted his waistcoat.

He pulled a bar stool to a clear space and sat down, experimentally fiddling to make sure he needed no grease or oil, before slipping the mouthpiece in and taking a breath, wondering what he would play even as he set the instrument to his lips.

Personality:
Despite his seemingly harder outer shell, he is actually quite the laid back individual, that is, unless you get to know him in which case he is quite the handful, laughing and carrying on. Sometimes needing to be told "shutup" just so some sanity is kept. His father taught him how to be a gentleman and it is shown in his actions and simple gestures. Actions speak louder than words in his morals and values and will treat those accordingly.

Now, if and when he overloads himself with energy and hurts himself, his mind seems to rewrite itself for a short period of time and he can take on just about any personality or persona and when it wears off, have no recollection of what had happened except for whatever blowback follows. He has master the art of apologizing because of this.

Background:
Garin was born in Germany, in a small town a few hours outside of Munich. Growing up he was fed a silver spoon on golden plates thanks to his father's company, Sturm Ind. A company who makes material for the German military and has branched out to other random oddities like clothing, electronics and car parts. He really never felt like himself around the company his family kept close, their attitudes to posh for his tastes. He wasn't shy when it came to schooling and studying though, priding himself on his great grades and his seemingly prodigal skills with classical instruments but never the one to gloat. Instead, he would help others, showing them little tricks of the trade he learned through private tutors and world class musicians.

One day, around the age of 8 years, he was brought to his house with a police escort after school. Concerned about his health, they went about the normal parenting bit, asking how he was, was he hurt and other basic questions. Before he could answer, the police spoke up, claiming that he had put 3 kids in the hospital with one in critical condition and possible nerve damage. The police had described the incident as a dome of electricity exploding from the boy as if he was an eel.

His now concerned parents looked at him with different eyes, fearing not just for the safety of others but for his own. They set out looking for schools that would take him and happened to find one after a week or so. Kosei Academy, an academy that seemed to take in people with his abilities. So as soon as they could, they packed his stuff, gave him a ticket and sent him off to the academy, leaving him no time to understand what truly was happening but instead left him with a cold shoulder directed to his parents with the assumption that they were abandoning him. He is now older with a better grasp of his powers and managed to learn why they sent him off, finally ending that long lived hatred for them.

Quirk: Blitzkrieg (Lightning War)
Garin has the natural ability to create electrical currents and fields. What aids him in this is due to a couple things. His body's natural electrical current is well above the normal human and this is also possible thanks to the body's ability. He is able to create his own electricity however, this can cause heavy strain on the body as too much will shut him down or send him into a seizure. Sturm can generate large electric currents by way of a highly specialized nervous system that has the capacity to synchronize the activity of disc-shaped, electricity-producing cells packed into a specialized electric organ. The nervous system does this through a command nucleus that decides when the electric organ will fire. When the command is given, a complex array of nerves makes sure that the thousands of cells activate at once, no matter how far they are from the command nucleus. When activated, it releases around no less then 1 volt per cell equaling to more than one million volts. It is enough to stun an enemy or send them into muscular convulsions if not death depending on the health of his opponent. He has learned slightly how to advance this ability to shoot out a wide and branching arch of "lightning". Unfortunately it is still in its developmental stage and needs a lot of work but it works similarly to a tesla coil striking at a metal rod but with less accuracy.

Talents:
Garin has been classically trained in the violin, cello and piano but prefers the violin. He does play the guitar as well but mostly as a hobby. He does have a little bit of hacking knowledge. While in japan he has taken up martial arts so he does have some hand to hand experience but just enough to get by.

Again, I ask you to read the other post I did. If he comes from a rich German family, he'd go to a specialist German school, not a school for troubled youths and poorer families in Germany.
