Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

I ponder this query myself every time I die in Assassin's Creed by accidentally jumping off a building, except it respawns and "continues" automatically, so it's like I'm forced to go on living without any choice.

Well, in Assassin's Creed is because your ancestors never died, so the Animus can't draw from genetic memories that never happened. Respawning makes total sense in that world (except for the Desmond sections where you can kill yourself and it's like "WHOOPS LOST CAMERA FEED".

BioShock Infinite handled this probably in the most profound way I've seen in a game, with the whole many-universe hypothesis. It's strongly implied that every time you die, you just created a new universe where Booker DeWitt died and the story carries on from that point, dealing with the consequences of his actions and death. I also can't remember what it's called, but there's another theory connected to that where your consciousness will always carry on with the universe where you survive, so if there's ever been any situations where you could have died, you simply experience one where you survive where you might have died elsewhere. They use an example of if you take a gun and load a round into it and put it into a contraption where the gun will shoot you in the head, and set it up 100 times, there will be 99 universes where you died, but one where the gun or contraption malfunctioned and you survive.

It's kind of crazy to think about, to be honest.

I made some changes to Daryna's character sheet. A quick TL;DR to what I changed and what I kept the same:

All that satisfies me, and the volcano god. Most of the stuff I brought up wasn't questioning that it was possible, just that it needed to be fleshed out a bit better. The concerns about her early power still is something of a concern, because as I said, all the potential power in the world is meaningless unless you have the ability to contain and control it, regardless of being a medical enigma/ science experiment. I do realize you intend to have it be a balanced and not abused factor in the RP, which is why I accepted your sheet. If I had serious concerns about you god modding, we likely wouldn't be having this conversation. :P Just, no 11 year old girls mind controlling 600 year old Matriarchs who've been doing that shit their entire lives.

As for the application of dominate, let's keep it as something she has to be concentrating on. I'm not really a fan of the whole Star Wars "weak minded individual" thing when it comes to mental manipulation, because there's no accurate way to gauge something like someone's mental resistance capability. For all you know, the turian councilor can be controlled like a marionette while the guy serving the questionable street meat from a cart might be the most mentally fortified individuals alive. If she's able to maintain focus on a number of individuals, great, but it's not going to be a fire and forget kind of thing. Biotics aren't some magical cosmic force with a will of it's own, it has to be directly maintained by the mind and skill of the individual using it. It's kind of easy to forget that something like a singularity is one of the most taxing and impressive biotic abilities when you can spec your Adept to just poop them out with impunity, y'know what I mean?
I have no idea how I accomplished that clusterfuck of a sentence.

If Falkon really wants out. Someone else could op to play his character, that way if he wants to return later then his guy is still in the story.

I personally am not a fan of anyone but a GM puppeting somebody else's characters, because they're never going to play the character like the owner intended. It just seems unfair to take use of somebody else's work.
I'm home, btw.

glad I didn't end up holding everything up. Whoo!

Thank you for the criticism.Wow, I missed a lot. I'll need some time to look over it and edit her sheet just in case.I'm surprised you didn't comment on how it took only ten years for her to become famous like Zaeed, but oh well.I hope you guys have fun. Kinda bummed I didn't get in, but I guess I just wasn't as good as everyone else's.

It was honestly a split hair, so you weren't all that far off. :) I have you in the reserve, so when (it happens in just about every game) somebody drops, I'll send you a message to get you into the thick of things. Don't lose hope!

Anyways, I'm going to try to have a first post ready within the next couple days. Everybody work on the things I pointed out and get ready to rumble, or something.
And now it's time for the critiques and the sheet selection.
If any of these seem particularly harsh or sarcastic, it is not a judgement of you as a person and I appreciate your interest all the same, this is merely a blunt and honest critique of what has been submitted for review.

Enjoy.

And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the chosen 8.

And of course, the reserve roster in case we have anyone drop out. These sheets were good, but were edged out (in some cases only ever so slightly!) by the initial 8. Should an opening pop up, I will PM the owners of these characters and ask if they are still interested in participating.

In all cases, there was a lot of fantastic effort put into these sheets, and it's been an absolute joy to see the response to this game!
I was rooting for you, idle. :( Still, you wrecked shit.

And holymotherofbodycount. Some rather brutal deaths this time around.
On my way home! Hopefully I'll have some tasty poasts for you all to feast upon by tomorrow!
Holy shit, quarians are everywhere!

You guys are going to make this really hard to chose, aren't you?
