Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

I don't even people like playing canon characters if their writing a roleplay or fan fic based on a fandom (because 90% of the time, they get the character horribly wrong and impose their own ideas on said character instead of embracing how the creator intended them to be), so playing real people, who are endlessly complicated and multifaceted that can't be easily shoved into a trope, is kind of tasteless in a few ways, especially because whatever problems you have writing fanfics about a fictional character, you aren't going to truly understand a real person.

Plus, as Kaga said, it's goddamn weird. Imagine stumbling across a story somebody wrote about you. It would feel wrong.
This came on the radio last month and I totally forgot it existed. I actually sat in my work truck to wait until it was finished (I was parked and about to go on a job site), just totally captivated by it.

I miss when music used to do that to me.

Those giant spinning pineapples?

What niche did they own in the ecosystem?

Simple.

The Peahats (or flying pineapples, whatever) are plants with the ability to hop up and hover short distances by spinning like those little propeller seeds you see on maple trees. Following so far?

Now this obviously offers several evolutionary advantages. Chiefly, they are not reliant on the weather or even animals (any fruit/ vegetable bearing plant) to carry their seeds (see helicopter seeds) or spore to new locations, they can do that all themselves. Since plants have been shown to react to stimuli by releasing chemicals, which is an adaptation used by some plants to communicate with other ones to warn of danger among other things, these plants are evidently evolved enough to detect pheromones of animals. The sharp blades of the peahat which are used to keep it suspended for a short time are deadly sharp and can be used to kill animals, which will provide nutrients via decomposition for the newly planted seeds to germinate and sprout, thus completing the cycle and growing more peahats.

Given this is a universe where an entire race of plant people gained sentience and are capable of verbal communication and building a civilization, as well as grasping the intricacies of a country-spanning economic system that encourages trading and bartering among other races, the fact there's murderous plants the likely try to kill you so they can gestate more seeds isn't exactly a stretch of the imagination.
Oh yeah, if you guys feel inclined, feel free to discuss upcoming missions and the various tasks/ branches available to figure out where your character will be going and if you want to buddy up with anybody. No sense in fumbling around in the IC if we don't have to, ja?

Don't worry Dervs, I think I found the perfect image to celebrate both occasions. Truly we're not so different after all.

That actually looks like something I would totally take part in. :D

And Soul, the ID aliens were thwarted by a MacBook... before they were cool and obliquitous with Starbucks dwelling hipsters.
