Y'know, most of the people complaining about how Spam used to be and taking pot shots are the same ones who aren't doing a damn thing to change it. It's easy to say "Oh it sucks now, none of the old regulars are here anymore" and then bugger off again because you don't like what you see.

Gee whiz, if it's a bunch old old farts saying how much they miss old spam and hate the new one, but don't stick around, you're part of the problem.

Here's a thought; if you're an old regular who just came here to say how much this place sucks before vanishing back into the abyss, how about staying around and encouraging the shit you want to see. Step up or shut up. Quite simple. Otherwise, you're basically a Facebook post about some worldly injustice to make it look like you're concerned and hip about something happening that's awful before going back to creep on girls and never speaking of it again.

What kind of buff? Some basic ones I can think of would be movement speed boost (Mid amount 'o prayer), construction speed boost (Little bit 'o prayer), combat effectiveness(A lot 'o prayer), ect. With just a basic talisman, you'd only be able to have 1 buff at a time, so if you pray for another later it will cancel the first out. And as I said before, you can also pray for items (Like wood or tools) or physical miracles (Like one of those trees being struck down or something like that).

Oh shit! I get to choose? I figured it was Blackest God who chose on a whim.

Let's pray for some tools. Tim Allen and Home Improvement wouldn't want it any other way.

I'm all for pursuing means to heal damaged brains and mental health, I'd much rather not mess with what makes people people. I mean, put it this way; what if the wrong person gets a massive leg up over the rest of humanity? History is full of extraordinary people who use their talents for decidely malignant means. Let's not turn that up to 11.

Pacific Rim Needs an Expanded Universe

I wouldn't say it's super original. The whole giant robot verses giant monster thing has been done before, and the ending was pretty much the exact same thing as The Avengers or Independence Day.

Not to say I didn't enjoy the hell out of it, but it's not meant to be a big, complex universe. It's just a big, dumb fun movie that doesn't complicate it's big draw with a crapload of lore and characters. They explained everything you need to know in the opening minutes of the film. That's literally all there is to it. A prequel wouldn't make sense because the kaiju weren't as big and numerous as the movie and the Jagers didn't all get wiped out at once, it was a slow draw of attrition. Not exactly super compelling if you're trying to top the set pieces of the original.

A sequel makes more sense, although I don't think they should. There's no more Jagers and they closed the rift. Just making up mumbo jumbo to work around that is a dumb cash grab. Like all the seven hundred carbon copy Marvel movies.
