Current Remember, nobody actually enjoys roleplaying if there isn't at least five shameful fetishes uncovered by the 2nd page.

Somebody stole my mood ring. I don't know how to feel about it.

Let's be honest, it's far more satisfying and challenging to actually imagine what a character looks like than paste a hundred gifs of a celebrity and call it good.

So, a team of players who are good at playing as a team in a team-based game are individually bad players. Seems kind of silly when you put it like that, no?

My goal these days is to have an RP that can actually finish, or the very least, last a few years. I see way too many die on page one to take chances

Boy, this turned out predictably.

Let's condense pages of argument into a really simple rule of thumb: since there's no way to definitively proof or disprove the existence of God, there's no point in arguing about it. We'll all find out after we die, so let's focus on more practical things that we can measure and find tangible.

Since the topic is about if church and state should be separate or not, the more pressing concern is balancing human rights and freedoms verses preserving religious customs and traditions. It makes more sense to me to discuss that than if the Big Guy in the Penthouse in the Sky is real or not. I am much more concerned about what His followers are doing than if He exists or not, considering there's the whole cherry picking what to follow out of the Bible or Qur'an or Torah or whatever to impose select values on entire groups of people. I mean, when you have one Church saying one thing and then the one down the street saying another, it doesn't exactly inspire trust in one leading the government if they can't even agree with what's legitimate or not.

But seriously guys, you aren't accomplishing anything by debating if God exists or not because nobody's changing their minds. Agree to disagree and move on.

Not to be an elitist jerk, but no, no there isn't. When I roleplay, I'd like to have some substance to read. I don't care well crafted it is, if a post is shorter than a Tweet, it's too short.

Agreed. I don't expect more than a minimum of two well-written paragraphs, but the reason I am now seldom in Casual is because it's way too easy to have a mix of players who post a bunch of paragraphs and others who want to do like two lines. There needs to be established standard going into it. I honestly don't know how people can roleplay with one-liners.
Great! Sounds like we're all of a similar mind. Oh, and Vanq has a computer again! Let's hope she comes back.

I am going to get started on that time skip tonight, hopefully! We'll start just as everyone is about to make their moves.

Anyone on jail break or assassination assignments, feel free to post as if the guards were drawn off due to distraction team's efforts. Obviously, it won't be the posted guards, but a good chunk of the on roster patrol guys.

Either way, thanks for sticking out the slump! I think moving away from collabs will help a lot in keeping shit moving.

Dripper, I still intend to work on our collab but it's going to be a flash back. I can't hold up the game for it.
I am very glad to hear that you and your family are fine! It must be the hardest thing ever to not think about how close it was, but try to focus on how nobodywas hurt and that you have protection. Although I can't relate to being near a criminal with a gun, I remember how I felt after I got jumped in a field on my way to work. It took a long time for me to trust anywhere that wasn't a lit street and I carried a knife for a few weeks after that. After this all settles down, try visiting the barn when it's day light. It may help your mind relax about making up stories that there may still be somebody in there when you walk by. I know it sounds dumb, but we aren't rational when we are spooked.

I really am glad you're okay!
It's also a slow time of year, so a lot of people are doing finals at school and what have you. Advanced usually moves at a rate of a post every 1-3 days, I estimate. It all depends on the group, but it's never fast paced. Even a lot of Casual, even most I dare say, moves at a comfortable rate.

Advanced requirements are two or more paragraphs, 15,000 word posts are exceedingly rare unless it's a big collab involving 2 or more people, which in a way makes it more like 2-3 posts condensed into one. You will rarely see the big collabs drop at a quick rate. Certainly not to an extent that you'd fall behind taking a couple days or more off.

I think you're over generalizing both Casual and Advanced, don't you?
Good post, you two!

What's everyone say to a time skip to the next day in a little bit? I think everyone's kind of caught up with whatever they wanted their characters to do. I need Dripper to get back on that pad and reply, but other than that I'd like to keep things moving along.

"Looks like some light rain in the Greater Vancouver Area today. The mayor would like to remind you to stay off the streets between 10 and 3 today to avoid getting caught up in the run off. Now with John Taylor on the street. What's it doing out there today, John?"

"The worst of it hasn't started yet, but it is interfering with the ongoing cleanup after the Canucks fans lost their shit and made our beautiful city look like Escape From New York. So far, only the elderly seem to have been swept away by the currents, but parents are advised to keep an eye on their children, since this is the time of year that packs of Orcas like to swim in the streets. Back to you, Ken."
