Although I will briefly mention that I don't think sexual relationships between RP characters are inherently a bad thing (excluding the ad-revenue issue, obviously) - I mean, if it organically grows between two characters throughout the course of a roleplay then I don't really see why not. It's the blatant smut, the sexual roleplay just for the sake of, uh, "pretending to slip a turbo hot beef injection into their nether regions", that pisses me off. And the fact that they've overrun 1x1 with it and are sacrificing any ad revenue for the site.

No, of course not. I imagine quite a few people, myself included, have done it. But like you said, it's about telling a story first and foremost. It's just there's so. Much. Smut. The vast majority of RPs in 1x1 right now are basically Craigslist ads, and that's kinda fucked up. I don't know why those people don't realize that it's inappropro and is a big part of the reason we lost the oldguild. If you gotta do smut, take it somewhere that's not public. Ain't rocket science.

Yeah, that's one of those weird, awkward things. I got into roleplaying on a Star Fox forum way back in 2001, way before I even knew furries were a thing, so I didn't think anything of making an anthropomorphic character any more so than I would like an alien in Mass Effect. Now, after being on the internet for so long, it's kind of one of those things where if I were to join a roleplay that involved an anthro setting like Star Fox, it would probably be accused with a billion accusations of being a furry or whatever. Not really into that, but I don't mind or care that people are. Considering all the weird shit on the internet, there are far, far weirder things than somebody claiming to be a furry.

I think a part of it might be because the Thalmor patrols might be classified as guards from whatever hold they're patrolling in. Delphine might be classified as a law-abiding character, so attacking guards would go against her set morality and she'd turn aggressive against the Dragonborn. This is probably because until you meet her during the quest line, she's considered a citizen of Riverwood, and you know how citizens react to hostile NPCs/ characters. You get a mob of unarmed chicks with dresses and hobos running over to stab or punch the offender to death. Old school street justice!

I could be wrong, but I'd bet that that would be the reason behind her sudden bought of lethal hypocrisy. she's not meant to be a follower for long, and since Thalmor patrols are random encounters, it's just one of those things where it would be oddly specific game logic for one character, even if it totally goes against what her character believes.

You can usually get a decent Walmart computer for like 200 bucks, if you felt inclined to save some money for something just for puttering around online and what not instead of doing anything that requires graphics.

I'm probably going to save up for a cheapo laptop for traveling, personally.

EDIT: Also, Shoegaze is the oddest genre name for alt-rock ever. I first heard about it/ some examples on the radio last fall with that 'Secret History of Rock with Alan Cross', which I highly recommend looking up if you love learning about music. The show was about punk music and a lot of the alternative offshoots that kind of came off of the same movement, shoegaze was actually one of the ones that was brought up. Can't say I care for it much, but it's not really bad. Just a bit off for my tastes.

Usually, if I'm doing a 1x1 with somebody, I stick to PMs.

Not because I'm expecting to get into the steamy smut shit, but partially because I'd rather not be seen frequenting 1x1 for that reason that this thread is about. It's honestly kind of embarrassing. Sometimes it's nice to just have a relaxed, quick moving game with just another person without the expectations of a group RP, but without getting caught in the trappings of the hanky-panky lovers.

Seriously, if you see anyone who are looking for lazy, generic pairings, chances are they want to pretend you're slipping a turbo hot beef injection into their nether regions. Run far, far away.

Vakte, pretty much what Volty said. We've yet to have someone apply as a werewolf or vampire (or god forbid, the one time somebody was like "A DRAGON/WEREWOLF HYBRID!!!111!") who was able to give a satisfactory explanation of how exactly they were planning on working around the whole "if everyone finds out what I am, they're going to try and kill me" angle. A monster is a monster is a monster. But I'd love to have you in the game! You write beautiful, beautiful character sheets. :D

So far, so good! Your descriptive writing for his appearance is wonderful, as it makes it very easy to keep an image of him in the mind, and it's refreshing to see somebody take the older, non-remarkable appearance route. This guild is full of teen and 20 something characters that are cover models, and I'm guilty of it myself a few times lol. Point is, diversity rocks.

A quick note on the elvish equipment, if there comes a time where your character encounters Dominion soldiers (it's happened a few times in the RP already), he's going to be under suspicion of having killed Thalmor soldiers to get it, which is going to trigger some hostile reactions. Be aware that it's possible to find and purchase other equipment as the RP goes along, so don't be afraid to switch things up when the time comes and that appearances do count in this RP. It's why half of the people in the game are currently running around, dressed like Redguard and not really armed like normal. Under cover matters. ;D

The skills do need to be addressed, like Soul pointed out (I still have a hard time calling him Leidenschaft!), and keep in mind, your major skills are Expert level, so just bear in mind that "One of the best in Tamriel" probably means somewhere around the top 15% or something like that, and it's not uncommon to run into NPCs who are better fighters. Part of the reason for that is we want to prevent people with the solo Rambo mentality from going around, clearing entire forts single-handed with no repercussion.
