Okay, perfectly understandable. I just want to make sure you aren't screaming "Don't do this to me" to a GM with your character sheet when really you would be totally fine with the twists and turns they were planning for you.
@6slyboy6Even if it is a plot device? Such as resurrection or a mental illusion, or heck, even come retrieve a counterpart from another dimension? Or even play your character as a ghost? Anything is possible. So, you mean that those scenarios are a no go. Is that correct?
@6slyboy6 So, you are telling me that having your character injured would not cause character exit. So, in that case it does not fit Character Sacrilege. So, go ahead and leave that space blank (just like Intrigue and Character Ideal, it is okay to have empty spots on this character sheet. It just means you have nothing in mind) unless you can think of something that you would say "why would he keep risking his life?" or "He sucks now, I want a different character."

So, go take a look at the "roles in the party" hider on my original character post, and pick two of those that explain the sort of role you want your character to fit in. Please read the descriptions. Keep in mind that magic is only a special effect that could be applied to any role I have listed, just like you could do it with technology (for instance, a wizard isn't "a magic dude" it is someone who can come up with a bunch of different potent ideas to solve problems. So in other words, a wizard could be defined as Spock or Iron-Man instead of just Merlin.)
Just so that you guys know, I am going to have Echo stay at the Cryo-pods while everybody is taking the grand tour. She doesn't seem perky.
Okay, so I'm going to say that those who have shown interest but do not have a functional character will be passed over for other more active players or we will simply begin without them. Let's say that Monday will be the cut off? While I can understand that stuff comes up, it is pretty impolite to just leave people hanging (especially if you know it is coming up), and should also not be super surprising if the group decides to move on without you.

That being said, if you have a functional character already, but have something come up, we are going to start but you are welcome to jump on in when you get back.

Does this sound fair to you guys? I mean, I don't want to hang people out to dry... but I am also SO ready to get my game on.
@Eru IluvatarDo it, do it, do it. Come on, let's get a nag chant going! Do it, do it, do it.
Character Sacrilege = Something that would cause character exit, or make them no longer fun to play.

Example: Let's say your character was out to make it big, be rich, famous, and living the high-life. Character Sacrilege would be... succeeding at his dreams. Once he had those things, he wouldn't go out and risk his neck any longer, you could theoretically change the motivation to something else, but that would also change the character. In stead of being the money-hungry morally ambiguous individual, it suddenly changes him to something else and therefore would ruin the character entirely.

Another example would be like playing a character with a special personality... and then having them face something in which they MUST compromise (often times through some sort of genius paradox) or have some sort of other role thrust upon them. (Self defense, for some reason, rarely makes this happen) so, it could be some sort of skill, obligation, trauma, or other aspect that sours the fun of the character to the player.
A really good example are these badass warriors that a GM then introduces a love interest into the plot. The players rarely want to see their spiky-armored bundle of muscles doing nice things for his snuggle bug.

Here is one that has caused many a character suicide... You make a bikini model and then have her suffer some sort of scarring injury. Players will hurl these sex symbols into swarms of orcs and undead (without any regular defenses) like no berserker ever would.

All of these are examples of Character Sacrilege.
@Darcs is a no show thus far. @6slyboy6 still needs to do some edits. I think that there are a couple of clarifications left with a couple of other players, but those shouldn't get in the way of us starting or even playing. We should be able to begin once those I have mentioned do their thing.

Good job on the character sacrilege @Primal Conundrum we must be on the same wavelength.
I think the idea of an interstellar space ship is a complete surprise to us, at least that is what I got out of it.
@DJAtomika Tank looks pretty good. I do have a question about his Character Sacrilege. This "discovery of his friends don't appreciate him as much as he thinks they do" if it happens, does it cause character exit or make you not want to play him any more? Just trying to make sure.
