Excellent. Just watched the super rugby final.
Rebekah Green

"It's good to meet you, Professor" Rebekah replied. "I'm Rebekah Green and I'm happy to help how I can, but If I may ask, do you have any of these stones already? If you do, I can increase them manyfold. That's my power, you see: I can make things bigger or smaller, so if you give me one quartz crystal, I can make it twice as big, you chop it in half, and you've got two. Repeat that process, and you've got four, eight, sixteen times what you started with."
I look forward to it.
If I might offer an opinion, physics would be quite an important subject for super-beings, as they often encounter situations a lot more extreme than the everyday. A practical knowledge of physics would be very helpful to anyone dealing with very large forces/objects, so this subject would be taught in first year at HA, and then built on in the second. It would have much more priority than, say, english or history, by nature of its utility.

And another: Geoffrey has excellent taste in literature. Keep up the good work.
The horrendous part is that I'm not even kidding. It comes partly from hanging around with biology people and partly from having a brain for trivia - picking stuff up as I go and remembering the interesting bits.

For those interested in more details on giraffes, this should get you started. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V4WYvDEjYI
@Melkor

How would you keep a giraffe in a secret underground facility? Think of the space it would need, the food, the mess...

...Oh wait. Magic. We can do that here.

@NarcissisticPotato

Well, almost. They certainly like getting it on, but only 9% of total giraffe mating is heterosexual, which is another hit to Emily's chances. The rest is 90% male-male and 1% female-female.

And yes, I happen no know an unusual amount about giraffe mating, but I can't guarantee it will be covered in the classwork.
Rebekah Green

Rebekah heard a muffled something coming from her roommate's bed, but it was hard to tell what exactly she was saying from under all of those blankets. She figured it would be best to leave them to emerge on their own.

One shower later, and Rebekah was feeling much better about the early hour. Good pressure, hot water and adjustable height would do that to her. Bringing her firmly back to earth, however, was the sight that greeted her when she came back into her room. Her wardrobe was open, and had been rifled through. Apparently she would need to talk to her roommate about that later. For now though, she put everything back where it belonged, closed the doors, and used her power to enlarge them just slightly. At their increased size, the doors would be wedged tight against the frame, and should be very difficult to open until she came back to re-shrink them.

Breakfast followed (muesli and hot chocolate) and then she found herself with about half an hour left before her first class. She took to strolling through the hallways, wondering who else she might bump into, when yet another loud exclamation reached her ears. If this was going to be a regular thing at this school, she might have to carry earplugs with her.

“Ahem..any students willing to procure stone and crystal resources for my class, will be awarded either extra credit, or private lessons, depending on quantity. ..and quickness.” Declared a loud, french accented voice, followed a few moments later by “Sans tarder!”

She assumed the last bit was french, and even though she didn't understand it, context gave her the general gist - "now or sooner". Thinking that she might as well check it out - she had time after all - she followed the sound of the voice to the end of the hallway, and a strong wooden door bearing a small black sign that identified it as a magic classroom where magic was taught by Professor Jacques Dragonheart Veilleur.

Tentatively, she gave the door three quick taps and called out "Hello? I'm here about the stones."
...oh dear god Potato xD

That's about right.

Still, I'm glad that our first class will be biology. Emily can learn that giraffes do not compete for mates, as they are extremely promiscuous and rarely mate with the same individual twice, and that even if they did compete, it would most likely be males competing for females, not the other way around. Emily is very safe from competition for her imagined giraffe lover.
That would be determined by Emily's response.

Ok, so here's the order of events as I see it.

1. Alexis wakes up everyone
2. Rebekah decides to get up
3. Rebekah starts digging through gear, and plans to take a shower
4. Rebekah greets Emily
5. Emily replies (or not, as she will)
6. Conversation, showers, food, adventures or all of the above occur as flowing from 5.
@DFTBA
Would you like Rebekah to be gone when Emily gets out of the shower or would you like her to be there for the shenanigans?

Emily can respond to the "good morning" if you like. Otherwise Rebekah can go and do something else.
