I figured they would.

That would tell temperature. It's not like I can just "poof" know exactly how many protons are in an atom because it vibrates peculiarly. And if one could, I don't know those specific values.

I will repel your entire army if it means keeping all those innocent fighters from a battle in which they are useless. All you are doing is sending them to their death, and it will not help us in the slightest. It would not be a foolish tactic... except that they are not useful as a diversion against any of the Villains we deal with.

That moment when you capitalised Villains and now you can't edit it because you're on another account.

*walks over to the rock, and knocks on it, proving that the inside is hollow*
It's unnatural because it isnt really a rock at all. It's made out of metal. I was asking you to make an opening without being destructive.

So, what about my deducing?

Good job communicating all that a second ago. For all one could deduce from what you said, a dinosaur took a mallet and smashed the rock until it was like this and now you want me to help find it. But I'll do it. *two knives hover out of sheaths in her belt and quickly grow very hot before cutting a circle unto the metal rock; the circle floats out and falls to the ground*

Couldn't you theoretically detect the vectors of the air particles moving around it and see if there are any others nearby to deduce the shape and contents, as well as detect the atomic vibrations of the- oh...
*Stops talking*

I did both of those first things. Atomic vibrations wouldn't help me actually figure out what kinds of atoms there are.

How did you think I was? Seriously.

<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Mine too!!

If I worked on it more, it would've been much better!!

<Snipped quote by Techspert>

I want to.

I just thought you could Photoshop. That's what I gathered.
<Snipped quote by Disdain>

It's not that good!

Well you're better than I thought.

I DIDN'T REALISE YOU WERE THAT GOOD

*looks around, and something cathes my eye, a particular rock formation*

Hmm.. Judging by the patterns of wear on that rock, its most likely not natural, perhaps not a rock at all. Ma'at, perhaps you could help with this?

Help with...? You're not giving me any specifics here. And you can't expect me to do a bunch of calculations and inexplicably come up with what sort of a thing that object is. That's not how it works. Also, I don't see how you can deduce by the patterns of a wear that the rock is unnatural. They could just indicate extremely unusual wind patterns. In fact, right now I'm simulating exactly how that would play out over a number of years.
