Why did having that purpose give you the ability to live?
<Snipped quote by Disdain>

Good to see you back too. I don't think you had fully reintegrated yourself yet before I fell off the face of the Earth.

yes I was kind of having trouble with resolve to post
but now that is not as much of a problem
But I've become an intern at my church, so I'm working at the church from Tuesdays to Fridays and I've got several weeks booked on trips and events. Half of the internship is intense discipleship and spiritual training while the other half is facilities work at the church.
@Disdain

Mao is literally the most frustrating card game I've ever played.

Define "barbecue"

it's awesome even though it's frustrating

I barbequed burger patties; it was surprisingly complex.
anyway cabin stories now
i'm going to throw out names randomly so just accept them
Most of the time we were either playing cards and checkers or discussing Nehemiah. We also played hide and seek Sunday night. We went on a walk around the lake (it was a pathetic lake) before lunch on Monday. explanation follows
We played this card game called Communist Mao where you have to figure out all the rules. Most of us who played it needed to re-remember the rules, and then we just practised in preparation for our next retreat, where we're going to drive the incoming freshman crazy. (One of the kicks of Mao is that winner makes a rule for the next game, and as long as a session continues, all rules remain.)
I played checkers for the first time and won (though the one I was playing gave up as I was cornering his last piece because I took too long to make moves). Then I lost my second time to Daisy, who had also never played checkers before that game. I learned from my mistakes and won two more times, and then I played against Nick, who was way more experienced, and lost. I learned again from my mistakes and never played again.
When we were playing hide and seek I somehow became the first it. After I found Haley, I continued looking with very little strategy until Jay, one of our leaders, joked that I should use the Pythagorean Theorem to find everybody, and started reciting it a little bit. Then Haley went and recited the Quadratic Formula instead, but said it incorrectly, so halfway through I interrupted her and recited the whole thing, which set her, Jay, and Sophia laughing, which allowed me to find Sophia. apparently Nick was right next to her but I didn't see him because he was trying really, really hard not to laugh and everybody else did that too despite everything I said
i also learned to barbecue
and three of them left halfway through because they had to go to the junior high retreat

Singular.

Seth?

The existence of protectors and lack thereof.

Who are these new protectors?
I'm really sorry.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
WELCOME BACK
<Snipped quote by Disdain>

That would require you to qualify "before."

Your purpose was to protect the Codex. You say you no longer have a purpose because there are protectors. What changed?
<Snipped quote by Disdain>

Because they have protectors.

And they didn't before?
I'm back! With many stories.
