The probability Codex said that she wasn't sure you'd come. But each certain event raises our odds higher. If you agree to help us, maybe we have a better chance. I'll admit, I'm not desperate because the probability of death hasn't started to weigh on me, not yet. But I'm in my right mind, and that's much better for preventing that death, in my opinion.

I think it would. But But this Codex—what's your name, by the way?—says that we all have to work together for the best odds. So that hurdle is still there, though maybe not as high as it has to be set for your ritual.

You're—I guess you're right. I'm here to prevent a full-scale invasion of Existence. But death was the way we convinced everybody else. And it won't inspire dedication for long; you're right there, too. It feels like you'd have to get to know every one and figure out what motivates them, and that's exactly the thing I guess you expected we'd never do.
