My name is DJ. I am a roleplayer. A roleplayer of roughly a good decade now. I write a lot of things, and am able to roleplay a lot of things.
Random Things about me - I run a small YouTube channel. - I listen to a helluva lot of music. Love music. - I'm from Singapore. It's a little island in Southeast Asia.
Anywho, I've not been RPing for a long long time, but here I am, hopefully to make a few friends and RP some.
Yeah the match I'm in is pretty much at a stalemate. Not even sure if we're gonna finish on time too, since melon is busy with the whole moving plus no Internet thing.
He saw, from a distance, his opponent wriggling his left arm about as he readied his gun in his right. Reacting to the motion of the draw, Daniel dropped down to the ground, stowing his empty gun in his underarm holster as the bullet fired at him flew just above him, missing any fleshy damage but blowing through his ponytail and scraping his cap as it sped past him.
The mage was casting another spell, he was sure of it. He wouldn't give him another chance.
Switching hands, he drew his other pistol with his right as he channeled ice into his left arm. As he stood he took aim and fired three more shots at Metz in quick succession; the first was aimed at his center of mass again, the easiest target. The second, affected by recoil, went low and right, speeding towards the mage's left hip. The third, also affected by the recoil of both shots, went high and left, heading for his right shoulder.
And, along with this, he focused all the ice he'd gathered into his left hand and released it at the platform the mage was standing on. The bolt of ice wasn't aimed at him though, it was aimed at the surface of the platform. The bolt would impact the platform like a snowball would, but the magics contained within would flash freeze an area about twelve feet circular, underneath the mage's feet. If he didn't avoid it his feet would be frozen solid, but if he did the ice would be like an oil slick under his boots, with nary any friction to speak of.
Name: Cho Sun-Jin Alias(s): Death; Reaper; Shadow Age: Frozen at 32 Height: 5' 9" Weight: 185 lbs Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Totally black
Race: Undead
Job Role: Soldier - Solo Reconnaisance and Special Ops
Physical Appearance: Cho is a pale man of Asian descent, being Korean and all. His eyes, from sclera to iris, are entirely black, and a thin black mist seeps from the corners of his eyes constantly. His flesh, on the whole, is pale and grey, befitting one who is already dead. He has short cropped black hair, akin to a military style left uncut for about a week or two. He is lean and muscled for his height as well. His voice is a normal Asian-American man's voice, but multiplied several hundred times over, like the voice of a veritable legion.
Attire: Cho's military gear is a short sleeved shirt underneath his tactical vest. The vest itself is a standard issue military-grade tactical vest, replete with ammunition pouches, grenade pouches, straps, the whole nine yards. He also wears urban camoflage fatigues and black combat boots, and black fingered gloves. He also wears a pair of streamlined black sports shades, and wears his dog tags on a chain around his neck. What distinguishes his gear from the other gazillion soldiers in the resistance is that his vest is almost like a part of him. It regrows damage done to it, and blocks everything from a medium velocity bullet to a sword stab, and everything below that level of damage. The vest's attachments onto him are several tendrils of darkness that extend from points on the vest that burrow into his flesh on his neck, shoulders and torso. These tendrils pulse and throb very slightly, since the armour itself is, in a way, alive and a part of him.
Personality: Cho is rather quiet for a man of his caliber, and for good reason: he is focused and resolute, powered mainly by the tragedy that happened to his dad and grandma. If you talk to him, he'll chat with you at length on whatever subject you wish to discuss, but leave him alone and he'll lapse into a grim, tense silence, punctuated only by the sounds of his equipment being checked, double checked and triple checked for each and every mission.
Equipment: -Upper Body:
Reaper's Armour - What used to be ballistic ceramic plating underneath a standard issue ballistic vest. The dark magics within Cho have repaired his former mortal armour and have turned it into regenerative plating that's a part of him.
-Lower Body:
Boots of Travel - These firm, black leather combat boots are now enchanted with travel: they will carry Cho any distance he requires, help him leap tall distances and also strengthen his legs if he needs to kick something.
Weapons
Reaper's Scythe/Tac - What once was a CheyTac Intervention M-200 variant sniper rifle is now a magic-powered and enhanced death machine. Formerly bolt action, the rifle is now semi automatic, and has an effective supersonic range of 2,200 yards or 2 kilometers. The rifle itself is born of the darkness and vengeful hate within Cho, and somewhere along the line the rifle itself was given a semblance of life. It is now a sentient being that lives off of the darkness within him. He equips it by attaching it to his right shoulder and forearm, gripping the pistol grip as he would normally. The living weapon latches onto him and draws upon his energy. The rifle fires Shredders; powerful parasites that act like regular bullets when fired, up until they impact a surface, at which point it opens its jaws and burrows, using its fired momentum to travel deep within and even through armour plating, walls and surfaces. The parasites then trigger an inner mechanism, transforming their streamlined bodies into sharp, thorny tumours that stay within their target, before expiring in a flash of heat and force akin to a small firecracker explosion.
Liquid Shadow/Kris - What was a KRISS Vector submachine gun is now a blazing fast shadow shooter. Working like a very high powered paint gun, the Shadow fires bolts of liquid darkness that can mark and paint any surface, alongside regular bullets. It ties into his ability to submerge and travel through darkness and shadows, as he can travel in and through wherever he's shot his weapon at.
Death's Mark/Hek - This used to be a Heckler & Koch P30L pistol. Now it's a marker. The pistol fires slugs of solid ink that can penetrate and splatter a target. This ink magically forms itself into a Mark of Death; a jagged cross bordered by a ring of thorns, and then hardens and crystallises, immobilising the affected area. Once a target has been marked, Cho can then fire at the mark to shatter it, causing immense damage or even outright ending his target in one blow.
Culling Blade/Barr - His old Ka-bar knife, now a tool of morbid death. It still looks and functions as a knife, except its blade is now so sharp it can cut metal. Wounds caused by the blade will also never stop bleeding and cannot heal unless he allows it.
Abilities:
Enhanced Speed
Enhanced Agility
Enhanced Reflexes
Enhanced Accuracy
Magic
Shadow Form - Cho is able to turn his entire body into darkness, becoming intangible as well as immune to physical damage. He is able to, in this form, merge with nearby cast shadows by immersing himself in them. In this way he is able to traverse large areas at night by way of "swimming" in the darkness.
Crow Image - Cho is also able to take the form of a large, black crow. In this form he can fly anywhere he pleases, but nothing else. Transforming between human and crow takes a matter of seconds.
Darkness Tendrils - Made of shadow, Cho is able to form several long tendrils made of darkness. These can emerge from anywhere in his body, but most commonly form from the scar on the left side of his torso, next to his heart. Cho is able to use these tendrils to manipulate objects, help him traverse terrain or even attack.
Shadow Regeneration - Cho is made of the shadows, and as such simply being in the dark allows him to slowly regenerate any damage done to his person.
Brief History: Cho hails from the Arena, in a reality that houses Earth, well, one of an infinite number of Earths anyway. Specifically, on this particular Earth, the existence of the supernatural and paranormal was a given, but these forces were not considered friendly, as all attempts to make contact with said forces were met with hostility, violence and death.
When he was young, he was always interested in the military, and after all the above experiences, you could say he is living the dream, his dream anyway. After all, his family was partly military too, at least on his father's side. His mother was a simple and humble cook in a small street corner eatery near home that served home grown and home cooked foods for the locals, neighbours, visitors and what have you. However, he lost his whole family when the cruise ship they were on capsized due to a freak paranormal waterspout caused by a kaiju. Since then he has carried a deep-seated grudge against anything paranormal or supernatural, his hatred fueling his quest for vengeance. He joined the organisation ParaCom to help fulfil this quest.
Within ParaCom he excelled at hunting and destroying anything paranormal, and he made fast friends with the squad he was assigned to. Within a few years his squad had become one of the best at their job, and for good reason.
On a mission to a Canadian forest, he and his squad were ambushed by a Viking warrior. The lone warrior turned out to be more than a match for the whole squad, however, and they were subsequently slaughtered to the last man. Cho was the very last casualty, the Viking having saved him for last.
Just before he died, the Viking packed his wounds with a magical ash, claiming that the sniper was a worthy warrior but not meant to die just yet. This ash imbued his body with a strong power, added together with his own innate magic, made the corpse that used to be living a very powerful artifact. Thus was how he was chosen by the Darkness to be a Reaper.
He was raised from the dead by the interdimensional dark, his blood replaced by darkness, his heart powered by his vengeance and hate. His weapons were given a rework to better suit his new form by demons inhabiting them. When he awoke, he recalled little of his past grievances, but gained new ones in his confusion to understand his new form.
Now Cho wanders the multiverse, a shadowy mercenary that uses his powers to quell whatever evils lays in any land. His ability to traverse the worlds through the very shadows themselves is a unique talent, one that has earned him much respect.
Recently his travels have led him back to this plane of reality and to the city of the Guild. There, upon instruction from his boss, the Darkness, he united with the other three members of his team and set out to purge the lands of its darkness and strife. However, due to recent events within the City, he has been separated from his comrades, and is on a mission to find them and help the residents deal with the persistent problem of the viral infections, fog and other everpresent dangers.
Relationships:
He is in a constant search for the other three members of his team; Luis Sanchez, the team's gunner, Ishida Itsuki the assassin and Nataliya Petrovich the medic. Together they form an interdimensional mercenary team called the Four Horsemen and they have been on many missions together. The bonds between them are unbreakable, and as they are separated currently, he is yearning to find them again.
Kalas - Cho has not much to say about the SWORD commander. Their personalities do not lend for much interaction; whatever Kalas says, he does, as befits a mercenary. He does admire the demon prince's head for battle and his loyalty to his peers.
Leia - In the centaur, Cho is often reminded of the medic of his own team, but where Nataliya was more careful with her words, Leia is not. He does admire her courage and bravery amongst the dead and dying, as he does with every other man, woman and metahuman within the medical corps of the city.
Guster - Cho reckons that the dust-human is an opportunist; one who uses every opportunity given to his advantage, and a quality that he himself displays often. Other than that, Cho sees Guster as a good leader and warrior, if a bit of an annoyance.
Dr Sness - Not much is said about the good doctor; Cho tends to avoid him as much as possible, though he does understand the notion of leaving behind one's original body to pursue one's goals.
Cynder - The young girl has gained Cho's respect and admiration for operating near-fearlessly in the face of such death and disaster; perhaps he hasn't seen her faint or cry at the sight of a body yet, but the mere fact that she still works to preserve life in her research when all around her people are dying is a thing that the undead sniper respects greatly.
Amelian - Cho lends a bit of worry to the poor hume; he can tell through that jokey, idiotic nature the man hides worries and insecurities just like any other person does. Sometimes the sniper worries that one day Amelian will overwork himself and kinda just keel over, but he knows that day will be long coming.
Edoric - The halfing doesn't scare Cho as much as the former thinks he does; after all, everyone gets startled, some easily, some not so much. Contrary to his personality, Cho is quite easily startled, but he does not hide the fact that Edorics...antics do not amuse him or scare him. He's seen worse. A lot worse.
Oscar Mike - A fellow soldier, Cho has the same respect for him as he does with every other military type in SWORD; ye who lays their life on the line to help others live unfettered and unworried by the thoughts of death. Sometimes though, he wonders if the soldier is actually that brave, or is merely fronting it to help others be brave themselves.
When Cho was killed and subsequently revived, his soul was briefly dipped into Hell. It was there that he briefly received judgement, and though he was brought back to life by the Aesir, the ruler of the Underworld couldn't resist leaving him with some gifts to coincide with his becoming a Reaper. These gifts came in the form of four demons that were permanently bonded to his spirit and came to live within Cho's four pieces of equipment: his sniper rifle, submachine gun, pistol and knife. These daemons, obviously sentient beings, were the ones that awoke Cho from his death-induced slumber after the climactic fight between him and Kolskegg. With some getting used to, the Reaper became accustomed to his weapons talking to him and providing him with information or casual banter to offset boring travels.
Tac
A friendly and helpful daemon, Tac resides within Cho's sniper rifle. He can be considered the "leader" out of the four daemons bonded to Cho, though not the oldest, and is often the most relevant of the lot.
Tac is a death daemon, thus his skillset is focused around long-range, one-shot combat, which fits his position within the Intervention sniper rifle. The Shredder parasites that the rifle produces as ammunition are organisms that he produces within the magazine.
Kris
Boisterous, noisy and hyperactive, Kris resides in Cho's submachine gun, as befits the former's personality. She is the youngest of the four, and is often immature and naive about things in the outside world.
Kris is a shadow daemon. Her skillset revolves around assisting Cho's latent shadow-walking powers by spreading her darkness wherever she can.
Hek
A stoic, cool and calculated daemon, Hek resides in Cho's pistol, a little strangely, since Hek is the oldest, largest and most powerful of the four daemons that are with Cho. He often turns to Hek for help in tactical situations, or regarding certain beings or deities that he doesn't recognise.
Hek is an elite daemon warrior and tactician, and though he has no special powers of his own, his battle smarts and talents more than make for it. His influence on the handgun that is Death's Mark is to expose and immobilise a target's weaknesses for Cho to strike at.
Barr
A laid back, easy going daemon, Barr resides in Cho's knife. He is the other more helpful daemon in Cho's arsenal, and is often referred to by the others as Tac's right-hand man- er, daemon.
Barr is a blood daemon, one with an affinity to that life-sustaining fluid, and it shows in his ability to manipulate his enemy's blood when he cuts them.

Itsuki saw the move as it happened; the giant yellow armoured man drew his shoulder forward and his underarm away from her strike. Her swords dragged themselves across his armour, Akuma leaving a groove in the metal as sparks flew as her strike was deflected. Then the giant drew back, grabbed his sword by the blade and thrust it at her like a spear. It was long enough to give him lots of space to avoid whatever she might've thrown at him.
But she had a semblance of a plan.
From her initial strike, left arm crossed high and right over her right, which was down low and left, she brought her right arm back towards her right, bringing Akuma's blade across her body as the broadsword's blade drew close. Another clash of metal echoed in the chamber as katana met broadsword, and even though she wasn't as strong as he was, his forward momentum was easily shifted into sideways momentum as she parried his stab, taking a step backwards to avoid any more forward movement.
That was part one.
Part two involved her left arm and Sei. With the giant's left hand gripped tightly onto his blade, he left his whole left side open. She knew Sei's blade wasn't as sharp, but she had confidence that her strike would find some sort of chink or open seam. The wakizashi still in a backhand grip, she drew her hand backward, close to her face. Then she took a step forward and to the left, avoiding the broadsword's blade as it stabbed by, and returned the stab, driving Sei straight towards Judgement's side with all her strength.
As he clambered up onto the platform, before he could even get a shot off, his opponent threw his hands up and cast a spell. Reacting as fast as he could, he broke the thin layer of ice connecting his left hand to the platform and tried to twist to the left so the bolt tore past him, which it mostly did, but it also seared a path straight across the breadth of his chest diagonally downward, along with destroying the section of platform.
With a yelp he fell the fifteen or so feet to the ground and impacted with a thud and a grunt onto his back. Pain shot up and down his spine as he groaned and struggled to stand. The bolt had sheared off a clean section of his jacket and shirt and fur, leaving his flesh underneath burnt and bruised. Add to that the impact onto his back and he was feeling quite worse for wear, but not even close to out of the fight yet.
As he struggled to his feet, he shook his head to clear the cobwebs, bunched himself up and leapt straight upward to what remained of the original platform. His gun was in his hand now, and as he landed he gazed forward and spied his opponent on the floor. An easy target, especially from this distance.
Without waiting, he lifted the handgun, sighted down, aimed for his opponent's center of mass, and fired thrice. The first bullet would fly true, but the second, affected by recoil, would instead fly slightly higher and to the left. The third, fired after the first two, would travel slightly to the right of Metz's center of mass.
He squeezed the trigger once more to fire a fourth, but the pull was met with a resounding click.
