"Well, considering that you're the one busting the baseballs and also punching holes in the fence, you're pretty well off yourself. Fire, by the look of it. And the smell."

He smirked as he rested his bat on his shoulders, watching the lady swing for the bleachers and hitting a home run that soared through the air as it fell to ashy pieces from the impact. As he felt the air temperature around him rising, he channeled the ice into his bat and into the surroundings, matching every degree of heat with an equal amount of chill, quickly causing water vapour to coalesce in the air around them. She would feel the chill tickle her ankles while he stood by the side, hands resting on his bat.

"Funny, a baseball pitch in the ass end of nowhere and that's where I find another magic user. Uncanny."

Daniel took a few steps back and took a test swing or two with the baseball bat, smirking a little to himself.

"What's say...you and I go a few rounds? I could use the practice."
"Friggin' zombies. Messing up my city."

The wolf strode forward, his baseball bat raised high in the air as he stalked an undead crawler that was feasting on a corpse. A long dead driver caught in his car, stuck behind his seat belt. Another fresh meal for the zombie. Daniel strode forward, reared back for a swing and unleashed his fury onto the zombie as it dug into the corpse's midsection. The aluminium bat smashed into the walking corpse's head and splattered what was left of its brains all over the car's interior. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand and sighed, flicking bits of gore and blood off the end of his bat.

"That's...way too many to count today. Just a bit more til I get to the bridge-"

He stopped. There was a scent in the air. Something unfamiliar. Different than the smells of motor oil, grass, blood and death that lingered after the outbreak hit. A smell that didn't really belong here. Daniel raised his bat and looked around, searching for this unknown entity.

"Hey... I can smell you, y'know that, right? Why don't you c'mon out and we can sort our differences out without violence?"
@Rilla DO IT
If you enter, I will. Hahaha.

I'll take you up on that. I'm signing up.
Did I ever participate in WotW? I can't remember. My last tourney was Nexus though.
I guess I don't mind?
@Rilla Not if I stab him in the chest again
@Rilla Did someone say the boxer
With his bat raised, he walked to the spot where she'd pointed to and steadied himself as the lady prepared the machine for the next ball. A whump of air signalled the shot and the ball sped towards him. Bat ready, he gritted his teeth and swung just as the ball reached him. A good, solid thwack of the aluminium bat hitting leather signified the hit and the ball sped away towards the fence, another burst of ice magic from the bat impact making the ball freeze solid in seconds and shatter upon impact with the chain-link fence.

Daniel lowered his bat and took a look at the runes imprinted onto the aluminium and shrugged.

"I really shouldn't load this thing with ice magic, huh."
