"BWAH! True such be. But not will words make muscles!"

Gonad would start off again, aiming to jog past the ninja whilst beckoning for him to come along. As the barbarian moved further away from the trees, a congo line of woodland animals that had apparently been training with him followed behind. There were two deer, a badger, a family of squirrels, a wolf, and three foxes.
Sure enough, something was coming. Out of the darkness inbetween the trees trotted a man the size of a grizzly. Despite the icy weather he was scantily clad, his hairy chest bare before the elements. What's more, he seemed to be wearing a pair of bright blue short shorts, Richard Simmons style.

He'd slow to a walk upon seeing the cryomancer, his sweaty face lighting up with a jolly grin. It was the sort of expression that could make one feel as if they had known him all their life.

"Hrah! Not did Gonad know brisk evening jog route used by others. Come has Blue Man to run with Gonad, and tone glutes in ways of might!?"
Here is my character. Typically we use a hider for them.

@KyroHey, my brother! There is no better way to learn than by doing. We'll have a fun little unranked match, alright? I'd like for you to make the thread. It's pretty easy. The character page, we of course both know about. Just make sure to include your fighter's abilities so it doesn't seem like you are pulling stuff out of your ass in tight spots.

OOC is where you keep a pic of the chosen arena (just image search some sort of landscape or castle or whatever) and the rules. Speaking of which, if you want to see how to get a fight just go to the Characters section on the Guild HQ thread. The little rules above each hidden character sheet? That's your form which you send to opponents so they can see what sort of fight you want. Unpowered = normal humans, low lowered = spiderman level shit, mid powered is like Metal Gear Solid shit, high powered is DBZ shit, and God tier is obvious.

Once a thread is made, just jot down the characters, arena info, and rules in the proper places before doing an intro. After that comes the juicy stuff, eh?

I miss anything? I'm assuming you are already good at text fighting. If not, then you can learn as we go along.
What we need to do is combine "Foresight" with "Unpredictability" to make "Unforedictightility".
Zande's punch would be subconsciously redirected by the suggestion of Rules Snake, his bony right fist shooting towards Tanya's right hand instead of her neck. If he had good footing and could have put his legs behind it, the punch might've broken both her hand and face together. As things stood, however, the blow only had momentum from his upper body and would probably just smack into her mitt and cause the back of her hand to crash into her face, possibly breaking her nose shortly before the fist opened to latch upon her hand with a brutal squeeze. Zande puzzled over what had pressed him to change his aim, but not for long. Not after seeing his opponent reach behind her back for something. The power of the Rules Snake echoed again through his mind, compelling him. He hadn't words in his head, only raw will. And the will of Zande, loud and clear, stated this: "Use no weapon..."

Since Tanya had both arms available for use, Zande probably wouldn't be able to get her into the intended triangle choke. With these new developments, he'd vie for a simpler tactic; falling backwards and dragging her down on top of himself by her hair, at the same time trying to wrap both legs around her waist. If this occurred, then once they had fallen he'd try to yank her right hand away from her head with his own before leaning in, rancid jaws agape. Sweet Christ on his throne. He wanted to shred her eyes to ribbons with his teeth. Grind her nose to mush. Tear off her lips and disengage her ears from her skull. He was assaulting human reality itself, the illusion that you won't encounter people in life who will maul you like an ape, mercilessly. Such things could be heard about happening on the other side of the world, always to someone else, someone you didn't truly care about. Things that shatter lives, ruin dreams. Within that pitch-black maw, no dreams could survive. If Tanya was unable to keep the madman from pressing his sweaty mug against hers, the brutal steel of his mask as cold as the dark side of life many try to ignore, then no amount of surgery on the planet would help her look pretty again. She would end up as the sort of thing children cry at, and at which grown men shudder.
A problem is what the reasonable limit for a fighter's reaction speed would be. On the subject of boxers, sometimes all it takes is a well thrown punch and they never see if coming. Yet imagine a character like many on this site reaching to draw his weapon in front of a boxer. He'd have little experience in getting punched at every day. It'd be from close range and out of his area of expertise. Logically the boxer could probably cream him in one shot before he gets a blade out.

Yet how many, and be honest now... how many weapon using characters on this forum could avoid that strike? I'd imagine just about every player would say their character would see it coming in time. But if every match could be settled just like that, those unfamiliar with the intricacies of boxing losing out nearly every time under such circumstances, I'd be a regular Chuck Norris.
My main character Gonad is a pugilist of the highest order, but if he won by logical default everytime he got into striking range shit would be boring as hell.

I don't mind a swordsman ducking a left straight that even a trained MMA fighter might not notice. It keeps things interesting. And yes, I know that normally a swordsman would cut an MMA fighter in two. This is just a circumstantial argument about reactions. Sometimes willing suspension of disbelief is what lets us have fun.
Can I like just use a physically strong character that doesn't have anything ending in "Etsu" or "Utsu"?
Ranked match anyone? I need some fun.
Disney Herculese, not the original one.
