Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

Appreciate the advice, as tbh, I was looking at how all the powers(Rune related at least) all basically stem from the same source, or are actually just done via magic. My character usually just pulls her stuff out of her treasury, as its a separate realm. Pocket dimension stuff, not quite the same as the RF inventory though. That thing was always fun, you could pull a dozen weapons out and still have more inside.

But I don't intend to go into detail on the treasury at present, even if I sat down and spent a few hours typing stuff out from the notes I have, I'd still have a bit to go. So I'll probably make like my title and not display what she's gathered publicly. But still have the sheet around, in the off chance I ever use her for anything other than just "hey, here's my main who I spent years on from off the site." Plus her other major powers are just straightforward or barely need mentioning. Massive crossovers get weird.

I mean, for her treasury, I might mention the stuff she always has to have on her, but that's her skinsuit and power suit. Since well, they're bonded to her. Love her to death, put her through hell, both on purpose and not(like the time a friend stabbed me in the back and broke the characters heart in the process), and she's come out mostly fine. Dragons who don't act like normal dragons due to their society are fun. Especially when they collect stuff to preserve a memory of someone, so they never "die".

At the end of the day, I think I just have stage fright, that's the core issue. And indecisiveness. When it all boils down, its just being a Rune Factory character from the Expanded Universe. With chaos involved. And evil grandfathers. And a dad who crashed a doomsday station on purpose to avoid the station hitting a populated area and killing millions. Sorry, I'm rambling, I tend to do that a lot when not focused.
I follow, makes sense. I'll see what I can come up with, a diplomat faction member then might make the most sense for the background. Or Subversion if we want a twist down the line or something. Finding a FC is gonna be fun, though, ah well.
Sounds good! I'm all ears, and yo, all good, holidays are holidays for a reason! I'll be free most of today, tomorrow will be wonky due to winter term classes, but not enough to cause drastic issues. Just having to get up before the sun rises is a feeling I thought I'd left behind in high school, ha. In other words, take your time, no rush here!
Roger, won't have my CS up till "tomorrow," and I'm still unsure if I'll stick to Tyrant, or switch to Subversion Faction for the background of the character. Or introduce some of the others I have on the backburner.

Do our characters have to be part of the Intiative, or can they stand against? Asking since Tyrant would most likely be against, unless forced into things. Calm angry edgelord android who likes stabbing stuff. Maybe, unsure, since the FC I'm using for Tyrant is literally a tyrant in their series.
Just a question to the masses.

But you ever sit down to transcribe a character sheet, and want to simplify a character you've developed a long time so others can enjoy them without having to know every last weapon or item they've gathered in their years of existence? But then when you do it, you stop and realize there's sections you just can't simplify? Or are unsure how to?

I ask this because I'm working on the CS for a character who I consider my "main muse" and whose series verse(as she draws powers primarily from the Rune Factory series, as she was born to a Rune Factory OC as part of the RF Expanded Universe me and friends had going for a time and still do, though I stopped expanding the universe overall, and focused on more characters) has a lot of powers. I mean, it can be all summed up in just "Runic Energy" or "Rune" as its directly called in verse, and its countless applications. But yeah, its a lot of shit. Ranging from mundane stuff like getting stronger from everything you do, to having PCs punch gods in the face and even battle beings that should erase them with a touch(RF has a thing where if your character ODs on the energy, you get turned into a Runemon, and the final RF4 boss is implied to be someone who you watched OD in the second story arc finale, fun times), and come out fine. And to a point, that's all fine and good(and if you spend enough time around me, you'll find out I adore RF, especially Ventuswill, oh my god she's so adorable, sorry), but then you actually go to reduce the character sheet's powers so its less of a text wall for people, and you're like "How do I do this."

tl;dr: Over in the Character Sheet Sub-Board of this Board, I'm trying to set up a CS for a character I've put through hell and back, and who has a lot of powers due to how her verse works(its worse for Runemons to an extent, since they have some species centric powers that are just weird), but I have no idea how to properly condense, due to an inherent fear people will not want to read to the end due to the mountain of text that is my research into the Rune Factory series. Everything else can be slimmed or is fine(like her treasury, not showing that off just yet).
tl;dr of tl;dr: Help
I'll be honest, I have a lot of favorites. Some that looking back, became such only after I had thought them bad.

About this time last year actuaally(I finished the post for it the last few minutes of 2017), ended up showing a character of mine, who was broken, and like a bad broken leg, had healed wrongly, being rebroken to properly heal. Amid the ashes of her army, the city she had built, she was thrust through thousands upon thousands of timelines, all with one shared theme. A bad ending for her. Over and over again, until eventually, amid it all, the thing that had dared call itself part of her was torn free from its grip upon her, and cast into the depths of her mind, and she blissfully passed out, broken both physically and mentally. She had been shot in the ankles and knees, and had been shot in the wrist and elbow of one arm, the gun placed in her hand, and her second personality, which had taken full control in a sort of twisted Jekyll and Hyde situation, couldn't understand what had happened(this was prior to the loop thing, the loop was performed in response to her failure to understand what was going on(in part mine, as I was in a pretty bad place at the time, I was pissed off and livid at people I now consider friends)). She had a sword shoved through her chest, not enough to kill her, a gunshot to the wound from her own daughter who had been turned into an agent of another reality, a reality she now calls home off this website, and then the injured parts of her body were removed.

IT was a brutal, humiliating moment for her as a character. What happened still haunts her to a degree, even though her time spent in a three month coma dulled many of those memories. Sure, she made up with most of the folks involved(sans the guy who stabbed her in the chest, in an rp we're doing right now he and her are about to come face to face for the first time since that event a year prior), like her younger brother, who she'd been fighting for(while also fighting to gain the power needed to ressurect the love of her life, the whole reason she'd fallen to such dispensable depths that she caused the deaths of thousands of "innocents"(actually enemy combatants, fun story there)), she's still healing. She's been put back on the right path, and while no one outside of those who have seen her inner self, and a few others, know she's a changed person, from a monsterous dragon scientist hellbent on doing whatever it took to get back the woman she loved, who had saved her from being trapped as a Robian for the rest of her life, to a troubled queen trying to set things right. Sure she still hates one of the reasons she's so fucked in the head(her mother abandoned her as a young child, and then when they met up years later in story, her mother broke her spirit and body, before just tossing her aside, before delivering my character to her grandfather, one of the bad guys of our writing group for some time).

But yeah, its one of my favorite moments, as despite some confusion later where that friend who stabbed me in character later threatened me to come back and do it again to me when he and others thought I was ignoring what had happened, it was a great turning point for my character. The conflict it was the cap to was one that shook two different writing groups to a degree, and heavily scarred many of the characters involved. Sure it failed as a cross-writing group arc, but it worked as a sole comm arc. It's still being felt now, so yeah.

I might post my CS for her at some point, since I adore her as a character. My little bastard child of a demi-god and a Sonic OC, who I put through so much unneeded shit so many times, who has more issues than any child her age ought to have(she has the mentality of an adult but is only nine in her timeline, cuz accelerated aging and spending seven years turned into a robot, Sonic stuff is fun), and still tries to make the world a better place.

I have other stories, such as how my character was conceived, to how she was "born." To her battle against her mother, and her loss. If not for how the site I used before is to shut down, I'd link it now...hmm, I might do it all the same, if folks want to see it. I'm not proud of hwere I was at the time as a writer mentally, but yeah. Wakeup calls in rp that help shake you back on course as a person are always nice. Got a bit winded there, whoops!
Howdy from the Americas! From the eastern seaboard beside D.C., to be precise!
I forgot about this, my bad, if I feel motivated, the sheet will be up either in the next two hours, or by the end of tomorrow. As I have offsite rps I'm involved in that at least one I intend to respond to after the new year starts on my end. Sheet shouldn't be too difficult, just a matter of hoping the wiki for Neo Metal is up to date with all shown information.
@Animal
Yeah, its still going, if you haven't submitted someone yet, you should, it'll be fun-

That aside, I feel I could have picked a better color for the other person talking, but ech, didn't see till after.
