I blame magic. Pure, condensed magic. By the way, another question. How genetically modified are humans able to be in this? If focus was more on technology and not destruction, I'd assume there would be a lot of people who have had their genes ruffled with. Of course, with the apocalypse being around, you would probably have to be pretty rich to receive any.

Neat. Are these Sky Rails still travel..able? If they were like monorails, you could probably fix up a few enough to be able to travel around a lot easier. I think that would be pretty neat and it would allow for interesting encounters like skyscraper ambushes and bombardment from a sky rail.

Hello there! As you can probably tell, I wasn't in the interest check, but I hope that doesn't prevent me from attempting to join. I was just a little late to the party, but I'm here now and I'm pretty interested. I've thought up a pretty decent character design as well, so I hope I'll get to apply. I have a quick question, though. Is there going to be a map of different settlements, and also, what city is this going to be set in? New York? Cincinnati? Brandenburg?

I was thinking there could also be a dice system added for the outcome of significant actions. Using a d20 sounds like the best idea all around. And you can add bonuses to it from your stats. 1-5 would result in horrible failure, with 1 being absolute failure. 6-10 could be minor failure, succeeding in some things, but failing overall. 11-15 would come out to be success, and then 16-20 would result in great success, with a twenty being absolute success.

For example, you would attack a group of twenty lemurians. You roll a 14 and add your ATK Stat of 2 to it resulting in a 16.

The Miner charged with a blast of heat and chunks of molten lava erupting out of his thrusters. He sliced and diced as the lemurians let out their reptilian screeches. Claws and jaws snapped at him, but his evasiveness and armor stood true, letting him know through the humanoids with relative ease.

See? Depending on the outcome of your roll and your stats, it could all go desperate ways.

I'm also quite interested in the concept, as I totally love Risk of Rain. (There's a four pack on the humble bundle for extremely cheap if you've got seven dollars. Really great deal.) Will you be allowing us to play as any character, even HAN-D or Acrid? I think playing Acrid would be very interesting seeing as you're a beast and not a man. Would lead to pretty good development in growing closer to the team. As for my personal choice, I might end up playing as the Sniper or maybe the Enforcer perhaps. The Enforcer sounds pretty fun for combat seeing as you have a shield and shotgun.

I do wonder what the combat system will be like.
