Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Games I haven’t been playing video games lately, but once I pick them back up again, I’ll make this list

I beam up brightly at Caden, my cheeks slightly squished from how he’s holding my face. “And I really do love you.” I tell him as I place my hands over his to hold them.
Chuckling, I glance over as she rummages through her bag and pulls out a notebook. I don’t know why, but the fact that she takes notes like I do makes her all the more endearing and attractive to me. “Easy as one, two, three.” I say once Cass has gone over the ceremony. Even though I’m new to the supernatural world and don’t have the first clue about these types of things, the steps for it make sense to me.
A small squeak escapes from how tightly Caden hugs me, but I don’t hesitate in hugging him back with as much force. “I love you too, but this will only be like a one-time thing. It’s not like you’re going to repeatably harm me, right?” I run my small hands up and down Caden’s back in a soothing manner.
I grin lopsidedly. “I thought you didn’t want to go to any balls.” I say teasingly before taking the exit into Cary. “So, what will you have to do for restoring the fountain? Or will it show you how like it did yesterday?” Hopefully without the branding this time.
I stand on my tiptoes and reach up to rub my thumb over the crease in Caden’s brow with my free hand. “It didn’t hurt when you cut it and it doesn’t hurt right now. We can ask for Cassi’s help as a safety net and I should be able to handle the final part of the ceremony just fine.”
Being overly optimistic is not usually my thing, but I can see how much everything is worrying Caden. I want to crack a joke about how I probably experienced worse in Hell, but with the memory today, I don’t think that it’ll help. If only I could appease his concerns as easily as I can rub away his wrinkled forehead.

“I’m afraid to give you an answer.” I say with a smirk. Well the dance club had taught me the basics of ballet and jazz, my mom’s real specialty was ballroom dancing. If Cass and I manage to make it to one of these modern balls, I want to surprise her.
It takes a few more dunks of my head before my mind is finally able to concentrate again. Once that’s dealt with, I start swimming laps in the breast stroke. This and the butterfly were some of my favorite strokes purely for the symmetry of it. The butterfly just took more focus than I think I could give at the moment.
I look up at Caden and tilt my head. “It looks like your dragon trumps my demon - I’ve been wondering which of us is stronger.” I grin, a little thrilled that Caden could cause harm if he ever wanted to. The cut is healing, but more at the rate an average human’s wounds would heal.
I bob my head in time with Cass’ tapping, chuckling. “My mom used her music to teach her after-school dance club… which of course she made me do while I was a student at her school.” I look over and grin at Cass for a moment before focusing back on the road.
“She used them for timing the warm up stretches so she had a routine down pat.”
After failing to calm down with yoga, I finally decide to go for a swim. Cold water seemed like a good way to get Avery out of my head. I change into the black two-piece and grab a singular towel from Caden’s office on my way to the pool. I stick the towel into a cabinet to hide it before I dive in.
And of course, the first thing that pops into my mind as I close my eyes is Avery. It’s the image of him from yesterday, when he had been swimming himself and was half naked, his muscles wet with water.
I breach the surface and gasp for air, suddenly feeling like I didn’t have enough air. “You are depraved Kiki.” I mutter angrily to myself.
I grin and hop off Caden’s lap before I dramatically spin to face him, left hand extended. “Let’s go.” I almost didn’t notice that the hand hasn’t healed yet from the cut of Caden’s claw, but once I do I pull it back and examine it, running my other thumb over it.
“Well, that answer’s one question I’ve had.” I mumble, forgetting the world around me for a moment.
I glance over to grin at Cass for a moment. “She uses some synthesizers, but a lot of it is her recording each instrument and each vocal part to layer on each other to create the final piece. My mom would tell me that early Enya would just have recorders in the room and start playing them on top of each other until she found a sound she liked.”
I squirm when Caden nuzzles into my neck and bites my ear, still confused about why the area is so damn sensitive. When he speaks on the alpha effect, I’m a little disappointed that I can’t use it to prank Avery, but it makes sense that I shouldn’t abuse the power. “Okay fine, I’ll just prank him in other ways then.” I say dramatically before beaming at Caden.
I laugh at her response. “Do you know how she makes her music?” Not that I’m well-versed in musical instruments or anything, but I still find a lot of the process in creating music fascinating. If only my parents had let me play violin or something as a kid.
When Avery leaves, I take a step to follow before I realize what I’m doing. I can’t figure out what’s wrong with me right now. The sexual fantasies make sense to me, but wanting to kiss him or have him hug me? That’s weird. “Have fun!” I say in an overly cheery voice. I frown at myself before heading into the main house.
“Will I be able to speak mind-to-mind with you though?” I ask. ”Or do we need to revisit how I wish a bite from you would make me a shifter too?” Joking, I pull away to peer at Caden.
[color=#9B111E]“Wait, does this mean I can pull alpha pranks on Avery now?”[/color I ask excitedly.
I pull my phone out of my pocket and hand it to her. “I have every Enya album if you’d like to listen to that.” I tell her my passcode to unlock it.
“Also, Avery makes a good point on the rock bands - there are some really good ones out there.” I’m more teasing her than anything, but I would love to introduce her to some of my favorites.
Avery’s hand goes to the back of my head and my mind goes blank, suddenly very focused on his fingers in my hair. I don’t even remember what we were just talking about. When he leans in to inspect his work, I hold my breath, my eyes going a little wide from how close he is… How close his lips are. As if he read my mind, his eyes flicker to my lips for the briefest moment. When Avery jumps away from me, I also take a step back and look away as I feel my cheeks and ears burn.
“Ah, uh, I don’t know actually.” I answer a little too enthusiastically. I shake my head, trying to clear it of the thoughts of kissing Avery. “I think maybe I’ll do some yoga to, uh, relax. Yeah.”
I close my eyes for a moment as I listen to his voice reverb in his chest. “I think I can hear your heart clearer?” I muse. My hand rests on his chest and I tap it in time to his heartbeat.
“So, what else might happen because of our bond now?” I ask, curious.
“Sounds good to me,” I say with a nod. My lips quirk up in a smile as Cass starts flipping through stations and I chuckle at her question. “It’s easier to ask what music I don’t like, but I enjoy songs that have a well-rounded sound to them. Just synthesized beats made in GarageBand don’t really appeal to me.” I tell her. “What about you?”
I flip him off for laughing at my attempt, but I find myself laughing too. “Would anyone be scared of anything else after a dragon?” I ask with a grin before I swipe at my nose with the clean rag.
I nod slowly, still mulling it over in my head. It’d be one thing if I knew I could withstand the pain, but they don’t exactly teach you what you are or aren’t vulnerable to as a white-eyed demon. I worry my bottom lip again, shifting so I can place my ear over Caden’s heart again. “Cassi’s coming over later anyway, right?” I ask to make sure.
I return the smile before I start the drive towards the Hindu temple. Placing my hand over the one she’s placed on my thigh, I feel pretty calm despite everything else. “Oh, should we contact Mr Singh to let him know we found the gem? Or do you want to wait until after we’ve restored the fountain?” I pull onto the freeway.
I laugh, despite missing the feel of his arm around me already. One mental slap later, and I’m in the right mind again. “I ain’t afraid of no big bad wolf.” I say in the most southern states accent I can muster. It sounds nothing like it though to my ears.
“When you start the process, can you stop or pause it? Like if it turns out I can’t handle the pain, would we have to keep going?” The idea of being able to find each other anywhere intrigues me the most.
I nod slowly. “I can do the rest, but it’s not our hospital that treated Mrs Scott.” I gently close her door before walk around the car to get behind the steering wheel.
“You sure you don’t want a drink for on the way there?”
