Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

“I have a proposal,” Nic says as the candy is being weighed and priced. “Let’s split the cost this time.” He suggests, pulling out his wallet to pull cash out. He lets the person behind the counter know that he wants a watermelon-lime soda.

Nero hops along to the closet and did a little fidget wiggle as Caden picks out an outfit. “Oh, I saw something perfect for this while I going through the clothes earlier today.” They tell Caden before scrambling out of the room to go find it in theirs.

Nicholas looks down at Cass and beams at her. “You’re the best.” He says, chuckling a little. “Would you be okay tasting watermelon?” He asks her with a wink.

Nero rubs the towel through their hair, fluffing it out, before turning to Caden. “Alright, let’s see this outfit.” They demand with a grin.

Nic is a little taken back by the suggestive tone Cass whispers in his ear, but then he grins. “Yes, exactly that actually.” He flashes his dimples at her, but his ears give him away as they’re bright red.

“Hmm…” Nic hums while thinking about it for a moment as he scans the menu again. “Well, if you want to try something new, I’m partial to orange flavored things and they have an orange cream soda.”
Nic laughs at her answer, finding it endearing, as he follows Cass to the counter. He leans down to whisper in her ear. “Oh look, they have a raspberry-peach soda.” He points at the menu behind the counter before resting his chin on her shoulder.

Nic leans over a little so he can see the options. “Well, I’m partial to salt water taffy, what about you?” He grabs a fistful and puts the little wax-paper wrapped candies into the bag.

Nic laughs, pulling Cass close to him to kiss her head before nodding. “Should we get enough to share with everyone?” He asks with a smile before letting go of Cass so she could look around. So cute.
Nic gently squeezes Cass’ hand as they make the short drive to the shop, and then again as they walk into the store. There’s a counter that someone mans where you can get the Italian sodas made fresh, but there’s also a myriad of vintage candies and glass bottles to choose from as well. Nic absolutely loves the store already.
Nic unlocks the car and packs the bags in the back of the SUV again, smiling to himself as he walks around the car and gets into the driver’s seat. He pulls out his own phone then to help with the search, already placing a hand on Cass as he does so.
Nic chuckles as Cass bounces around like a little bunny. “Then, let’s see if we can’t find an Italian soda place or something nearby. Would you like to do the honors?” He asks of her. He digs the keys out of his pocket while keeping a hold on both Cass and the bags.
