Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Location: Chicago Werewolf Pack’s Hideout - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Terry pants, favoring one of his one of his legs as he growls weakly at Avery. Not like this, I won’t die like this to some second-rate pup. He thinks to himself before he runs full speed and lunges again at Avery. He misses, skidding across the floor as he practically launches himself into the cage that held Kiki and denting it even further. He barely manages to eat back on his feet, but his eyes dart between Avery and the fox with the witch as he tries to decide what to do with his last moments alive.
The wolf that immediately admitted defeat to Nero now sits beside them as Nero keeps away any other would-be rescuers with quick slices of their legs. “I’ve got one!” Nero shouts to Caden before giving the wolf next to them a head pat. “Lucky you! You get to stay alive.” The demon practically purrs to them before throwing another dagger at a wolf’s front leg that was looking to try their hand at going after Caden while his back was turned.
Kimiko “Kiki” Voss

Kiki bats a paw at Cassi for her joke before shaking her head - she has enough adrenaline to keep up with the sorceress for now. She keeps looking over at Avery and Terrance, worried for Avery even as he clearly dominates the fight. Kiki only narrowly dodges when a dead wolf lands on Cassi and watches as her friend’s head connects to the floor with a crack.
She jumps over to help push the wolf off of Cassi, looking up at her with concern when she sways.

Terry finishes his shift finally and bares his teeth at Avery, hackles raised as he growls. He glances over to the cage, feeling anger that his prize is slipping away. He lunges at Avery, going for the wolf’s throat.
Kiki could hug Cassi when she pulls the rag out of her mouth, but at the mention of her star ball, she hurriedly looks around for it, shifting into her fox form almost immediately to grab it with her mouth before anyone else could steal it.
Kiki realizes she’s a little too close for her liking to Avery and Terry’s battle and gives the two a wide berth as she nimbly tries to make her way back to Cass. She would rather stay in her fox form than continue wearing Terrance’s shirt.
Nero
Location: Chicago Werewolf Pack’s Hideout - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Nero can’t help but grin at Caden, glad they aren’t in any immediate trouble with him. A wolf nearby looks like they want to try and retrieve Levi from the desk Caden shoved him under, but when they make eye contact with Nero, they drop their butt to the ground. “Good doggy.” The imp says with a wicked grin as they watch Caden give chase to two other pack members.

If Nero didn’t already think these werewolves were complete idiots, Terry certainly sealed the deal with his last remark. Nero turns their back to Caden, armed with silver daggers in each hand as they wait to see if anyone will try to pounce on their mate from behind. Some look ready to until they see Nero’s eyes briefly shift to black.
They moved into a position where they could see Avery and Cassi as well, wanting to make sure they wouldn’t get sneak attacked either. Their eyes darted about as they try and keep track of all the wolves and their movements.

Terrance isn’t as quick to shift and is in the middle of the painful endeavor when Avery tackles him to the ground. He snarls throwing a punch at Avery to get him off so he can let his wolf out too.
Kiki watches with wide eyes as the two go at it when she hears Cassi’s voice. She turns and could almost cry at the most welcome sight of her favorite sorceress. Her face turns to panic as she sees a wolf crouched behind her though, preparing to lunge onto her adoptive big sister.
Just as it pounces off the ground at Cassi, though, a silver dagger lodges itself in its eye. The velocity of the throw launches the dead wolf into a steel beam. Kiki looks over to see Nero making a very sheepish ‘oops’ face in their direction.

“I’d like to see you try.” Is all Terrance says to Avery before Caden snaps at him. The wolf cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders, looking about as eager to fight as Avery is. Nero spits on the ground, still clearly in disgust at all of this. They let go of Caden’s hand in anticipation.

“Levi, don’t fucking cave to these shits. Remember how he disrespected you the other day? These motherfuckers need to learn their place.” Terrance says as he crosses his arms. Behind him, Kiki lets out a frustrated noise at the absurdity of all of this, making Terry briefly glance behind him before he continues to spew shit. “Avery, you’ve got to see how hot this fox looks in just my t-shirt.”
Nicholas “Nic” Wu
Location: Cass’ Home - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nic had already cleaned the entire kitchen and is getting started on Cass’ living room when he gets the text that they found Kimiko. Hope to see all of you safe and sound soon <3 He texts back. The doorbell rings and Nic realizes the groceries have arrived so he starts on putting those away.

Terrance rolls his eyes at Avery, only able to look at him for so long before his wolf caved in. He looks over at Levi instead, feigning a lack of concern of Avery. “Not to mention, extremely rare. You should see some of the bids we’ve already gotten for her.” He holds up Kiki’s star ball in plain view of everyone and kisses it before tucking it away in a jacket pocket.
“And they haven’t even seen the great body that comes with the package.” He turns his gaze back to Avery to smirk widely at him, eyebrow raised in a silent challenge. Kiki glares a hole into the back of his head.

“Not really human trafficking if she’s kitsune now, is it?” Terrances calls over from his seat by Kiki. Nero tries to look closer at Kiki but the stinky werewolf moves to effectively block the little fox from our view.
Nero’s hands twitch, itching to throw a knife just to scare him, maybe cut his cheek a little. “Arschloch.” The demon mutters, face twisted in disgust and contempt for the wolf… Well for all of them really. If Caden didn’t have a hold on their hand, they might have already attacked Terry out of pure spite.
Arschloch is a derogatory term that translates to “asshole.” It’s a strong insult that’s used to express contempt, anger, or disgust towards someone. It’s best to avoid using this word as it’s considered extremely offensive.
Kimiko “Kiki” Voss

“Oh look, your Prince Charming is here.” Terry says snidely to Kimiko. She looks up in time to see Caden, Nero, Cassi, and Avery walk in.
“Oh, thank the go-“ Terrance stuffs a dirty piece of cloth into her mouth before she can say anything else and she gags from both the taste and smell. His big frame blocks her field of vision and she tries to peer around him. She needs to tell the others about her star ball.
Kiki hears the wolf try and argue his way out of this being ‘human trafficking’ on the technicality that she’s kitsune. He flashes her a winking smirk when he says it, like he’s the most clever thing to walk the earth. She lets out a huff of air through her nose, the only thing keeping her from lighting little fires everywhere is the fact that this pile of shit has a hold over her right now.
Nero nods, peering up at Caden and he stashes knives on them. It made them smile that he’d already figured out where their secret pockets were. “Don’t let them hurt you and I won’t kill them.” Nero chirps, feeling their adrenaline start to kick in a little. I can do this. They tell themselves, hoping that no stray spells or knives from Cassi would hit them.
“You ready?” They ask Caden once they feel all their weapons are securely placed.
Nero shifts in their seat. “Right up ahead.” Nero tells Avery, not wanting him to accidentally pass it. They close their eyes again to try and remember the vision. “The limp-dick one, greasy brown bear and hair with lots of tattoos? If that’s Terrance, he was sitting right by her. If he’s the instigator in all of this, maybe he has it - the essence or whatever.” Nero makes a little mental note to start learning about more species and their quirks after this.
Nero frowns as well, thinking about what they had seen. “Kiki’s not completely helpless… and I didn’t see a lock on the-“ Nero doesn’t want to rile Avery up any more than he already is. “I just mean, I didn’t see any locks or anything. So, what’s keeping her there?” Kiki’s a clever fox, although hot-headed, she could have possibly tried to escape, right?
Nero tries to focus on the map in their hands and not the tension in the back seat but fidgets in their seat. They’re glad Cassi had agreed to help them with finding Kiki, even surprised that they were allowed into her home today. “Next left.” They mumble to Avery as they start getting closer.
“Do we have a plan for once we get there? Or are we going in, ‘guns blazing’.” Nero finally asks as they use air quotes, growing too anxious from the silence in the backseat.
