Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Games I haven’t been playing video games lately, but once I pick them back up again, I’ll make this list

Nero sticks their tongue out at Caden before stealing his jacket to wear, wiggling their way into it while still on the bed. “You know, t-shirts look good on you.” Nero looks at Caden and bites their lip before looking up at his face.
They didn’t miss that Caden has closed the door, hoping that adding layers that he takes off would tease him. They beam innocently up at their mate, nodding their head back and forth to a beat only they can hear.
Kimiko “Kiki” Voss
Location: Emporium Arcade and Bar - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Kimiko nods enthusiastically, very grateful that she can show a larger range of emotion now that she’s almost fully healed. The most annoying injury had been the split lip and bruised cheek and she’s glad they’re gone. “I have pretty good aim usually, but axes are heavier, right?” She asks Avery, turning away from the axe throwing to look up at him.
Nicholas “Nic” Wu
Location: Nic’s New Apartment - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Nic doesn’t miss how his kiss affects Cass, but chooses not to tease her about it. He takes a look at her hair as she busies herself with getting to the couch. “Do you want me to braid it for you real quick?” He offers, organizing the boxes a little as Cass offloads them.
He takes a quick look around to make sure everyone else is inside before he speaks. “Also, as lovely as your backside is, please make sure to use your knees, dear.” He stands outside of the truck and grins lopsidedly up at her.
“Good.” Nero says with a grin before they cannonball into the bed, the skirt of their dress flying up as they do so. They spread out in the bed and try to take up as much room as they can with their small frame. The bed isn’t as comfy as the one at Caden’s, but it was decently comfortable still.
“So what are we going to do in this secret place you’re taking me to?” Nero asks, sitting up. Their hands move to their hair to make sure it’s all in place still.

Being doted on by Avery made Kiki smile, a little bit of blush coloring her ears as he slipped her wristband on for her. When he grabs her hand, a goofy smile slips onto her face and she happily follows where Avery pulls her. She sees the bowling alley and eyes it with a tiny bit of interest but when they pass by the axe throwing, she gets really excited.
“Oh! I’ve always wanted to do this.” Kiki says, practically bouncing as she leans into Avery more.
Nicholas “Nic” Wu

Nic places a finger under Cass’ chin as she looks away, pulling her face back towards him so he can kiss her. It’s a gentle and soft kiss, not anything more as they’re busy unloading the truck still, but it’s sweet and welcome after a long week apart.
Nic lets his hand drop as he pulls away and smiles at Cass. “Good thing you’re so good at your job.” He says as he tucks a piece of hair before grabbing her hand and pushing the trolley with the other one so that they can exit the elevator before the doors close on them.
Nero empties their flute of champagne before exchanging the empty glass for their phone from Caden. Then they skip into the bedroom to look around. “Our secret bookcase door will be better though, right? Can’t just have a big old doorknob sticking out of a book, that won’t fool anyone.” The contractor had come by and looked at the wall between their room and what would become Nero’s office once it’s finished. The only thing waiting is for the, to get started on it.

Kiki makes a face at Avery’s words. “That’s not what I meant and you know it.” She mumbles as she follows him into the arcade. At least, she hopes he knew that’s not what she meant - did she need to tell him he had just flustered her?
The fox is pulled from her thoughts when Avery asks what she wants to do first. She’s entirely too nervous to eat right now so she grabs Avery’s hand before answering. “Can we take a look around? Unless you’re hungry, then we can eat first.” She shifts her weight nervously.
It confuses her - she’s been clinging to Avery as much as possible over the last week, but now she suddenly feels shy around him again. Is it because it’s our first date? Kiki asks herself.
Nicholas “Nic” Wu

“I miss him too.” Nic says before leaning his side into the elevator as Cass looks up at him. “Work was a little busy, but that’s to be expected on a Friday. Most of the staff has welcomed me back now, so that should help me actually get things done again.” He grins as he looks down at her. “Did you get up to anything else today other than being the perfect girlfriend?”
Nero takes the champagne before handing Caden their phone. “As for Tolkien, let’s read whichever is first.” They offer before they sip the bubbly wine as they meander around the plane. “Oh look, this book has a doorknob.” Nero observes, twisting it and opening the door attached.
They turn towards Caden with a very big grin. “SECRET BOOKCASE DOOR” They say very excitedly.

Kiki felt her heart give a little flip at the smile Avery gives her before she hands her helmet to Avery as she starts to strip off the leather she borrowed. It had made her feel a little safer riding on the bike. “I- well, it’s- it just is, okay?” She stammers as she pulls off the last piece of leather and shoving it in his arms with red blush covering her ears and cheeks.

“As long as most of them won’t hurt my son, I’m okay with that.” Nic says as he grabs one of the boxes labeled ‘Nic’s books’, knowing it probably held his textbooks. He rides up the elevator and steps into his new place with a grin, putting the box with the others. “Speaking of, how is Wayland? I feel like I haven’t seen him in forever.”
“Which do you like more?” Nero asks with a signature head tilt before they start looking around the inside of the jet more. “Are all airplanes like this?” They add before hopping out of Caden’s lap to look around more.

Kimiko opens her mouth to reply but gets easily distracted by Avery’s kiss. Where the hell did he learn how to pull that move? She finds herself asking before she kisses him back, holding his face with her free hand before she pulls away first. “That was incredibly unfair of you.”

Nic grins, his dimples showing. “Thank you, that’s all I needed to hear.” He tells Cass before following her out of the SUV. He looks up at the new building and smiles.
“Thank you for helping me and my dad find a place, by the way.” He tells Cass as he joins her in grabbing boxes.
Nero giggles as Caden buries into their neck, the act always tickling them a little. “Are the books long then? Or are there a lot of them?” Nero asks curiously once they weren’t wiggling from his touch anymore.

Kiki relaxes once they’re off the freeway almost immediately. How Avery could be on a bike next to big rig trailers is beyond her. She makes a note to herself that she should make a hand sign that would tell Avery she’s sorry for squeezing the life out of him. Not soon enough for Kiki, they finally arrive at the arcade and she release Avery from her viper grip. ”I’m sorry.” She says sheepishly once she takes the helmet off her head.
Nic holds a hand over his heart and clutches his shirt. “That wounds my fragile masculinity, you know.” He says to Cass as she takes his phone back to look at it again. “A man needs to feel needed.” Nic says is a dramatically deep voice.
Ren laughs. “I don’t remember teaching you something like that!”
“I can’t say I’m surprised.” Nero says, grinning as they think of how to prank Avery with a life-size cutout of the movie’s ‘werewolves’.
They see the seatbelt sign go off and barely hesitate to jump out of their seat and into Caden’s lap before they tap their chin. “Hmm, Tolkien’s the one that was made into movies too, right? Let’s read that and then we could see how close the movies are to it.” They suggest with a smile.
Kimiko realizes she might have been holding onto Avery a little too tightly when Avery holds her hand and loosens her grip just barely enough to give him a thumbs up as they get on the freeway. She knows he’d been driving under the speed limit for her, but that’s not the easiest thing to do on a freeway near a big city. She knows how Americans love their guns, after all.
Nic laughs, thoroughly enjoying Cass’ reaction to the mockup. “I don’t know if you remember Kayla, dad, but she wanted to help Cass make up some business cards.” Nic explains, kissing Cass’ head quickly.
“I think so, who knows with this memory.” Ren says with a small chuckle as he also zooms in and out on the image. “This is really good, though!”
“I’m glad I got it before I left today - I hope it’s a good ‘thank you’ for all the hard work you put in today.”
Nero shakes their head. “I’ve only seen the ones we use to torture with - Twilight always seemed to work well.” Nero looks out the window again and kicks their legs. “Although… there were some weirdos who liked it.” The imp shivers at the thought before turning and flashing a smile at Caden.
Kiki shakes her head at him with a smile of her own as she pulls on her helmet; she’d death grip him at any speed probably. She climbs onto the bike gingerly, still not quite sure of Avery’s favorite death machine. Once he’s on, she hugs him tightly but makes sure to remind herself not to dig her helmet into his back.
Nic being the smallest of them all in hip size, climbs in and takes the middle seat. “So, my favorite patient sent this to me today.” Nic pulls out his phone and brings up the photo she had sent. The girl had been playing around on her iPad and had come up with initial design for Cass’ business cards. It’s simple right now, using moons and greenery which Nic had suggested.
Nero yawns and gets their ears to pop before they nod at Caden’s question. “I’m okay, it just took me by surprise.” Nero says with a grin before they peek out the window. The landscape below was getting smaller by the second. They turn back towards Caden, still smiling. “Now answer the question.”
Kiki’s face lights up in excitement. “An arcade? I don’t think I’ve ever been to one before.” Even though they had been alive when they became popular, it wasn’t the most important thing on her mind at the time. She takes the helmet from Avery with a small thanks.
“Okay, so… no going over the speed limit, please.” She asks, knowing that’s a long shot.

Nic follows Cass with a big smile. “Can I go with you or do I need to drive the van?” He asks his girlfriend.
“Kat and I are taking the van, you get to relax with Cass - lord knows you need it after this week at the hospital. Did I tell you guys how many times he would get stopped during our shift overlap? People treat him like some sort of celebrity.”
Nero glares, but it doesn’t have the desired expression when they’re laughing. “Just had to guilt trip me, I see.” They say before they stop narrowing their eyes at their dragon.
“What’s your favorite movie?” Nero asks instead. The two didn’t really watch television - there still isn’t one in their bedroom and Nero likes it that way. It meant more time spent on other activities. The plane launches into the air and Nero grips the arms of their seat, going wide-eyed at the sensation. Flying in smoke form was a much smoother ride.
“Definitely not.” Kiki says with a small grin as they approach his bike. Her stomach does a couple of cartwheels, both at the aspect of riding the death machine again but also just excited about the date. “Even if you told me where we were going, I probably don’t know of it.” She admits to Avery as she pulls on the borrowed gear from Sarah. The leather felt more sturdy than the light pants and jacket she had worn last time on his bike.

Nic can’t help but grin at Cass still, but lets her out of his arms as he acknowledges everyone else who helped. “Thank you.” He says before kissing Cass again. “I should’ve known you’d plan something like this under my nose… Thank you for thinking of my dad and me.” His heart swelled with gratefulness at the amount of work they all must have put in.
“Wait, Jane did you work a full shift and pack my place? You’re actually insane.” She waves Nic’s comment off, but her and Kat grin at me. It’s a little sad to be moving away from them, but it’s not as if they’ll never see each other.
