Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

“Why does that scare me more?” Nero asks in a teasing tone. They knew Caden has excellent taste in… well, everything to be honest. They can trust his opinion. As they get swarmed by attendants, they shoot the same terrified look they had the last time Caden took them shopping.
”Something stronger.” Nero says to Caden question before they’re escorted away to get measurements done.
Kimiko “Kiki” Voss
Location: Caden’s Home - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit: Leggings & Tank Top
Kiki smiles sheepishly. “Only if you have the time, but between the injuries to my neck and shoulders plus the nightmares and stress, I still can’t really stretch as much as I used to before the… before.” She leaves it at that for now before redirecting the conversation.
“If we’re going to go for a run later, flexibility will help my shift.” She fidgets with her fingers, hoping Avery doesn’t see the slight tremor in them.
Nicholas “Nic” Wu
Location: Nic’s Old Apartment - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
The landlord seems ready to call in some brute force to get into the apartment at this point, but Cass walks by to let him know it’s okay. He opens the door and they almost fall over from the sudden lack of resistance. Nic catches them before they do and helps them to their feet.
“This is my girlfriend Cass, she’s been helping with the move.” Nic says as they enter the kitchen first because of course that’s their luck. The kitchen still looks brand spanking new. Nic would need to ask Cass at her cleaning method is.

Nero nods, smiling at the thought of seeing a symphony performance. When Caden mentions his family, Nero peers up at him at the sincerity of his words. “That makes sense, I just dpm’t know what’s high fashion or I guess, more appropriately, what to wear for different occasions.” Nero hopes that it’s something Caden can help them navigate.
“Just don’t make me looks like a fairy princess or something is all I ask.” They add with a wink. The big poofy floor-length dresses did not seem like the best fit for someone as small in stature as Nero is.

Kiki looks up when something in her peripheral catches her eye and looks up to see Avery arrive. She throws a small wave his way before continuing her stretches. She wants to let him get some of his workout out of the way before she asks him for his help stretching.
Around fifteen minutes later, Kiki puts her earbuds away and looks around for Avery, catching him using the resistance bands. “Avery,” She calls out to him, not knowing if he’s also listening to music or not. “Could you help me stretch? …Please?” She adds the last word quickly, knowing it’s a habit of hers to forget it often.

Nero nods - it makes sense. When they show up to where these big name stores lived, Nero couldn’t help but stare at the clash of different fashion styles shown in the stores or on the people who walked by. “Is this going to be one of those ‘Nero on their best behavior’ circumstances?” They ask Caden.

Kiki watches Avery leave the patio with a smile, watching as he talks to some of the other staff members. She watches him go inside before she rolls the trolley into the elevator and sets it in the kitchen before making her way back up to go change as well. She decides to leave the tank top on, adding a sports bra and a pair of leggings before sending the Avery’s hoodie and her shorts into the chute. Maybe she could see about getting an A/C unit just for her room to cool it down.
She beats Avery to the gym, which isn’t surprising since he had been stopped by so many just leaving the patio. She puts her earbuds in and listens to some New Age music as she starts her initial stretching.

Nero chuckles before grinning. “I don’t care where we are as long as I have you there with me.” They tell him genuinely. It’s crazy to think about how this had all started initially because someone’s Frankenstein of a monster had attacked Caden’s city. They don’t mind the journey that brought them to him though, they’re quite grateful for it in fact.
“I’m surprised you don’t own property here.” Nero says as they look around at all New York had to offer.

Too soon for Kiki, the kiss ends and Avery pulls away. She almost pouts about it until she sees staff were beginning to walk around. Her ears turn red at the thought that anyone else would have seen their kiss. “Oh, um, I’ll come with you - I need to do some stretching before we go for our run later anyway.” She found keeping herself flexible helped with her shifting. She stands up and starts gathering the dishes, not wanting to leave it to Avert or the staff.

Nero bobs their head happily in a nod. “I like walking even if I get distracted easily.” They’re about to pull Caden along to start their walk but realizes with a sheepish grin that they have no idea where they’re going. They wait a moment for Caden to start leading them before they happily prance beside him.

Nodding along, Kiki agrees. Before she knew how the mating bond worked, hearing that might have made her second-guess his feelings for her. She doesn’t have much time to really ponder about it before Avery makes his confession and tilts her head up. Her eyes flutter close at the kiss before she begins to kiss him back, trying not to take it too fast but also feeling a rush of emotion towards him in that moment.

Nero beams up at Caden, glad that he’s going to spoil himself too. “As long as I’m not the only one being dragged in and out of the dressing room.” They say, but honestly they enjoy when Caden spoils them. As much ‘fun’ as it was shopping with Kiki, Nero enjoyed Caden’s reactions to them being dressed up.

Kiki whips to look at him again, taken back. “Oh.” She says in a small voice, but a rather cheery tone.
“I liked how we became friends first though… When we finally were able to get along, it was nice. I don’t know if that could have happened if I slept with you right away, to be honest.” She nuzzles her face into his shoulder to hide her blush.

Nero tosses the rest of the fried butter, trying to fried Oreo last and finding the combination of sweet and salty delicious. “Bugs make good protein in a pinch and why let perfectly good ingredients go to waste?” They wipe their gloves off with a napkin, wanting them to be free of grease.
“Okay, where to now?” Nero asks as the two finish their lap of the area.

Kiki laughs with a roll of her eyes, but is distracted by Avery’s fingers. She stares at their hands for a moment as he talks before glancing up at his face with his question. “Honestly, I might have.” She responds finally, glancing down and playing with the cords of Avery’s sweater that she wears. “Before we got back to the house that night, it felt like we were almost getting along. Plus, as I’ve said, you’re incredibly attractive.”.
Kiki lets herself chew on her lip for a moment, her tongue running over the thin scar left there from Levi. “… Why do you ask?” Is he going going to think I’m a slut now? She can’t look up at him again, fearing for the worst.

Nero smirks, looking up at Caden brightly. [color=#9B111E][i]“Ich glaube, ich habe eine Idee.”[/i[/color] They say. As they walk, Nero makes Caden buy nearly every single kind of fried food available so they can try it. As overindulgent as the fried stick of butter is, Nero could not eat more than a couple of bites. “Americans are so… interesting with their food choices.” They muse out loud.

Caught off guard, Kiki blushes from his comment and takes a second to recover. “Was it my incredible toast skills that made you realize?” She leaned over so she could rest her head on Avery’s shoulder. “No apologies needed - you’ve more than made it up to me.” She tells him as her eyes close.

Nero holds Caden’s shoulders as he gets them down from the carousel ride. They beam brightly up at Caden, very much enjoying the day so far. “Sure!” They say excitedly, looping their arm through his while the two follow the path to the exit.
“This has been great so far and exactly what I needed, thank you Caden.” Nero says as they nuzzle their cheek into his arm that she holds.

Kiki’s face lights up. “You’re making those for me later, or I’ll cry again.” She could never turn down a chocolate covered strawberry. She finishes the last of the fruit and leans back in her chair, feeling full and satisfied.
“You’re absolutely brilliant.” Kiki says with a content sigh.

Nero nibbles on the tip of their thumb as Caden leaves after the kiss to find his own seat. When he looks back, Nero flashes a wide grin his way, enjoying the little ride immensely. This carnival isn’t anything like Nero imagined it would be, but it was enchanting. There’s something thrilling about seeing the sights around them from a new height.
