Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

“Well, as the great Detective Boyle once said, ‘The most intimate thing you can do for someone is wash their hair’.” Nic says with a boyish smile as he quotes a line the character from Brooklyn Nine Nine says. “I just figure it’s something that might feel nice and relaxing.” He starts cupping some water and getting the strands of Cass’ hair wet.
Nero
Location: Alla Vita - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nero squirms as a pleasant shudder climbs up their back, both from Caden’s movements and his grin. “I was hoping I could use that in my favor.” They say with a smirk, trying to ignore their own blush.

“Who am I to deny you a kiss?” Nic says with a smile, his cheeks warming at Cass saying she trusts him. He eagerly walks towards her taking her hand and kissing it before he closes the distance to kiss her softly on the lips.
Nic pulls back after a moment to grin crookedly at Cass. “Would you like me to wash your hair?” He asks as he tucks some behind her ear.
Nero
Location: Alla Vita - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nero grins triumphantly, looking very much like a cat as they gaze at Caden. After the kiss on their forehead, the imp wiggles some more in happiness as they place a hand over the one Caden has on their leg. “They all sounded good and now I know how much of a sweet tooth you have too so… more seems better.”

Nic ends up joining Cass’ laughter, finding it too infectious to resist - plus, it’s a totally funny situation. Once the laughter dies down, he looks down at his chest to where the clothes he grabbed for her sit halfway on the floor and half on his chest. “I see my invite has been revoked before even offered.” He says, rolling his head to look behind at Cass upside down before he stands.
“I thought for sure you would have locked it…” Nic says with a chuckle as he places the clothes by the sink. Even from the floor he can tell that Cass is covered enough that he doesn’t have to act prudish, but he still avoids letting his gaze stray any longer than her neck for now.
Nero

The mention of dessert has Nero sitting straight again with a wide grin before leaning into Caden to look at the dessert menu. “Let’s get two of everything.” They suggest as they try to give Caden their best ‘puppy dog eyes’ expression. They wiggle side to side in their seat in a little dance.

“Careful, you’re getting awfully close to flirting there.” Nic says with a smirk as he leans against the door, Cass’ change of clothes still in his hands. “Someone might think you want me to joi-” The bathroom door opens, forcing the tall man to fall onto the floor with a groan.
Nic holds his shoulder with a wince. “So, the door wasn’t locked.” He rolls onto his back and stares at the ceiling wit a long sigh.
Nero

Nero leans back in their seat and sighs happily, patting their tummy with a cheerful smile. “Both was a good choice.” They say as they sip the last of their wine. “Müssen wir immer noch zum Unterschlupf gehen?” They hope there’s been enough time since the demon encounter for them to just go home and chill.

Nic tries to regain his composure, having just talked himself out of barging in. “Sure thing, I’ll go get those for you.” His voice comes out strained and he’s quick to grab a large t-shirt and some sweats for Cass, just in time to hear her call out to him again.
“Think it could fit two people?” Nic says, attempting to joke but just creating more frustration for himself. “I have the clothes for you, I’ll set them down out here.”
Nero

Nero grins widely. “Ich wusste, dass Sie vorschlagen würden, beides zu kaufen.” The imp chirps before finishing off their first glass of wine and tasting some of the appetizers with a happy wiggle.

“I will probably cry if you did that.” Nic says with a laugh. He’s tempted to ask to join her but he also doesn’t know how she will prefer to have him see her naked for the first time. His hand hovers over the doorknob before he decides he shouldn’t put either of them through more teasing.
Needing to pull his hand away from the doorknob before he just opens it, Nic runs it through his hair instead. “Let me know if you need anything, okay?” He tells Cass.
Nero
Location: Alla Vita - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nero takes their glass of win and greedily drinks, definitely feeling like they could use the alcohol right about now after today’s events. They peer up at Caden once the appetizers have been set down. “Solange du es verstehen kannst. Viele der Bücher, die ich mitgebracht habe, sind in dieser Sprache, da Dämonen zu schmutzig sind, um sie zu benutzen.” They smile at him with a tilt of their head before sipping more of their wine.
“Was das Essen angeht, so kann ich mich nicht zwischen den Agnolotti Del Plin und den Tagliatelle entscheiden.” Nero says, pointing to the options on the menu. One had ragu, which the imp knew to be a pretty indulgent meat, while the other had lamb, a meat Nero already knew they liked.
As long as you can understand it. A lot of the books I brought are in that language since demons are too filthy or whatever to use it // As for food, I can’t decide between the Agnolotti Del Plin or the Tagliatelle

Nic can tell that Cass wanted to question the look he gave for and his ears grew hot. He’s glad she didn’t probe though - he’s not sure what to think of it himself. “See you soon.” He replies as she leaves to go upstairs. Nic takes a couple stabilizing breaths before laughing at himself under his breath.
“Why do I feel like a teenager all over again?” Nic mumbles to himself before grabbing his things to take upstairs. He knocks on his bathroom door as he enters his room. “Finding everything okay?” He asks through the door.
Nero
Location: Nero’s House - Chicago, IL Skills:
“Ich kann mir nicht einmal vorstellen, was jemand in der heutigen Zeit über sie denken würde.” Nero says as they lean into Caden more, finding his touch soothing. They wiggle in their seat as they go over the events of the day. “Kennen Sie zufällig Enochian?”
I can’t even imagine what someone would think of them is this modern day and age // Do you happen to know Enochian?

Kiki sighs happily, closing her eyes as Avery continues to just touch her. She leans forward and rests her head on Avery’s shoulder. “Well you’re definitely heading for snoozeville, so maybe we can put on another movie and just not watch it.” She offers in a mumble.

Nic turns to grin at Cass, a devilish look to his eyes as he thought of caveats to her using his bath before he pushed the thoughts out. “That’d probably be the best idea until we figure out what’s slowing the healing process for you.” He says instead.
“I’ve got some oils and stuff in the cabinets under the sinks.” Nic smiles innocently as he finishes cleaning up.
Nero

Nero smiles to themselves happily as they feel Caden block their back from the view of the other patrons. After Caden switches to German, Nero happily tilts their head with a smirk. “Ich glaube, in der Übersetzung ist etwas verloren gegangen.” Nero teases, patting their mate’s cheek as they smirk.
“Danke, dass Sie mir den Rücken freihalten.” They say in a sweeter tone, their expression softening.

Kiki thinks on it as she catches her breath, closing her eyes as Avery rubs her back. “Well, I think we’ve been properly lazy today… so maybe some swimming in the pool would be fun… Otherwise I’m going to end up falling asleep in your lap like this.”

“Yes ma’am.” Nic says dutifully before pulling both of her hands close and kissing her knuckles. His brain quickly fills with thoughts of Cass in his bed in only a t-shirt and he has to pull himself out of the little fantasy before his body responds.
Nic clears his throat and stands up, letting go of Cass’ hands so he can clean up the table and kitchen. “If you want, you can go get comfy in my room while I clean up.” He says - most of the cleaning up is just throwing packaging away and placing dishes in the washer.
Nero
Location: Car -> Alla Vita - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nero chuckles, finding his boyish grin adorable. “Total opposites in our own height preferences.” They observe with a silly smile, wiggling in their seat happily. Their eyes look up out the window as the brick building comes into view with its striped awnings.
As per usual, Caden is quick in getting to Nero’s door and they beam up at him as they take his hand. Pulling themselves up, they’re quick to make sure the dress is laying down smooth on them, distracting themselves from thinking about their back on display. “It smells amazing.” They whisper in observation to Caden.

Kiki’s face heats up as she’s not really able to react any other way as Avery kisses her - not that she minds at all. She wraps her arms loosely around his neck and kisses him back. The whole afternoon had felt like it flew by for her but at the same time it felt as though they were perfectly frozen in time from anything else.

Nic’s face lights up with a smile and he turns to Cass with a grin. “I would absolutely love it if you spent the night.” He says, grabbing her fidgeting hands in his as his eyes shine. “I’ve been eagerly waiting for the next time you’d wear my clothes.” In fact, he had set aside some more of his clothes from his bulk phase for this exact moment.

Nero smirks and shakes their head, trying to to wave off the immense attraction they feel towards Caden. He needs to stop whispering in my ear like that when we’re out in public… The demon says in their head, knowing it’s a very small chance of happening.
“Would you be able to just shrink yourself to my size? A mini Caden?” Nero asks when Caden rejoins them in the car, watching their mate start the car. They can’t help but feel that driving one of these metal carriages would make them feel invincible.

Kiki can’t help but feel tiny when Avery’s able to easily just pull her into his lap. She squirms a little as he nuzzles her neck, softly giggling as he teases her back with his words and nips. When he pulls back to look at her, she blushes of course, but also beams at him. “It’s okay, I love you too.” She tells him, flicking the tip of his nose before kissing it.
