Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Nero nods in agreement as they scamper to keep up with Caden’s long legs. “Oh!” They say happily at the mention of returning to the other bedroom again. “I can’t wait to have a swimming pool of a bed to sleep in again.” With a grin, they hop ahead of Caden so they could pull him in for a hug.
“By the way, with Crowley…” Nero starts after a moment. “He’s going to figure out quickly that you mean more to me when he sees us… Are you okay with that?”
Nicholas “Nic” Wu
Location: Caden & Nero’s House - Chicago, IL Skills:
Nic smiles happily when Cass wraps her arms around him and returns the gesture, holding her close. “She does give off a lot of ‘lone wolf’ energy.” He says in agreement to Cassi’s information. “If her and Avery are bonded now, that should help you see more of her, ri-” His question is cut off by Cassi’s.
“Oh, uh… Guess I hadn’t really thought about it…?” Nic answers honestly, clearly flustered. “Do you want kids?”

Nero’s giggles are hard to smother at this point as Caden leaves the room with them, the two of them holding loot. With Caden’s guidance, Nero returns the makeup items to the owners with grateful glee before the two of them make their way back to the main house.
“I want to be there when he finally sees his reflection.” Says the imp with wiggling excitement. It’s not just the thrill of pulling off such a good prank though, Nero feels like it will definitely help when Kiki and Avery finally talk.

Nic glances down at Cassi and smiles when he notices her watching him, his ears tinging with blush from both her attention and her compliment. “I know she’s older than me, but… between her nickname and her temper, I can’t help but think of my Kiki as a little kid. She had such a temper at that age.”
Nic glances away from Cass with a different smile, one that’s more wistful as he thinks of little six-year-old Kiki Wu stomping around like a baby Godzilla when she couldn’t have her way. “Pair that with my instinctual need to be a caregiver and I couldn’t stop myself from helping.” He looks back down at Cassi and kisses her head. “You had quite the big-sister energy with her too.”

Nero gleefully takes the makeup from Caden and gets busy, a terrifying giggle slipping out under their breath before they shift back with a large grin. “Klappe zu, Affe tot.” They say happily before hopping out of the bed and holding the makeup in their arms.
“Now to hide all of his mirrors…”
Literal translation: Close the lid, the monkey is dead Meaning: It’s the end The origin of this one is not really known, but it sure is a fun one to say. It’s meant to be said in a more casual manner, a lot like the German phrase “that’s all, folks!” or “that’s the end of the story”.

Nic chuckles as he helps Cass to her feet. “I don’t always get to keep you close between both of us working.” He explains, kissing her forehead before leading the way back to the gym and its showers. He keeps hold of her hand, his thumb lightly rubbing her hand.
“So I like to take advantage of moments like these.”

Nero looks away from their masterpiece and glances up at Caden with a curious look. “Man-hole like… those sewer things?” They ask before concentrating on their work again.
“I know, I know.” Nero waves Caden off when he gives them unsolicited advice. Of course Nero isn’t going to overdo it - not when much of Avery’s job is to be intimidating. Everything so far could be covered by a hat worn low. But that wouldn’t stop Nero from having fun.

Nic grins lopsidedly, leaning casually back in his seat. “I would love nothing more than to shower with you - but I wouldn’t want you walking around naked either.” He gives Cassi’s outfit another once over and his eyes crinkle happily. “Besides, I really like this outfit on you.” He stands up and offers his hand to Cassi to help her off the couch.
“We can go back to the locker shower room or whatever it is by the gym and I can shower while you wash your hands?” This suggestion is Nic’s compromise.

Nero grins at hearing this. “Why ‘man-hole’? Why not asshole?” They ask as they pop off the marker’s cap and start writing the phrase in large letters. “Can you ask if any of the staff have very sparkly or glittery makeup?” The imp requests of Caden while adding hearts with the marker.

“You’re just trying to get rid of me, I see.” Kimiko teases but kisses Cassi’s cheek before standing. “Au revoir, thank you for both of your help.” Although she flashes a smile, Nic can see how exhausted she looks as she leaves the sunroom.
Turning to Cassi, Nic smiles. “Did you want to shower too?” He asks, playing with her hair between his fingers.

Nero wiggles with excitement when Caden approves of their prank. Patiently they wait by his side as he explains to the other staff members before they make it to the wolf’s bedroom. Nero had been here once before when they had stuffed Avery’s pillows full of straws. They like the aesthetic, but would rather it be red instead of white.
“What shall we write on him?” Nero asks with immense excitement, seemingly pulling a sharpie out of nowhere.

“Absolutely not.” Kiki scoffs with little hesitation, instead taking her previous position and resting her head back on Cassi. “I mean, I will later of course, but I’d rather let him stew in it a bit longer.”

Nic chuckles, glad he’s not in Avery’s position, not that he would ever willingly get himself into this type of situation. “I’m sure they’ll all make their way here eventually anyway.” He says.

Nero trots alongside Caden to keep up with him as they walk towards staff housing. “I find you very agreeable as well.” The imp says suggestively with a devilish grin before glancing at Avery again.
“I was going to draw something phallic on his forehead or something like the college humans do at parties.”

Kiki straightens suddenly as if she’s been pricked by something and creases her brow slightly as she tries to figure out what’s changed. Like a flame from a lamp suddenly growing in size… “Oh!” She says, interrupting the conversation.
Nic looks ready to jump out of his seat as he looks around to find what made Kiki exclaim. “What? What happened?”
Looking at herself from within, Kiki can see the glow of her fire illuminate a forest near where Avery’s connection is. “Seems like Caden got through to him…” Despite how absolutely furious she is with the wolf, she still smiles slightly.

Nero chuckles with a nod at Caden’s observation, watching with delight as Caden lifted the wolf. “Maybe they learned to be stubborn from you, because Kiki is also stubborn as fuck.” They say teasingly.
“And of course I want to go with you, someone has to fill me in on what I’ve missed.” Nero takes a look at Avery over Caden’s shoulder before smirking widely. “Can I prank him?”
