@Morte Angelis Do I need a picture, or is a sufficiently detailed text description enough?

If you already have something thought out, don't mind me. I just like giving people ideas, and sometimes I may overstep my boundaries trying to be helpful.
Alright @IcePezz and @ArenaSnow, so how about we start throwing magic systems into a cocktail. How about:

There are two sets of weaves: One made of positive energy (Life/Divine/etc), one of negative energy(Demonic/Undead). By drawing threads from both these interlaced webs, one creates a magic effect. Drawing strictly from the Positive Weave, one gets divine magic and healing. Drawing exclusively from the negative weave begets necromancy and all sorts of blasphemous funtimes. Drawing from both indiscriminately causes the positive and negative to cancel out, allowing manipulation of nature and energy. Separating the two kinds of weaves from one another is naturally extremely difficult. Deriving positive threads is normally done by good-aligned gods and angels, and negative threads are usually pulled by evil-aligned gods and demons/devils. Mortals can separate them, but they usually cannot do it as well or as easily as supernatural beings of the proper alignment. Isabeau can naturally separate Negative threads from the weave without trying too hard (the basis of her shadow powers), which makes her an anomoly.
@IcePezz, go do your housework.
@IcePezz Fancy meeting you here.
Alright, I posted. I'll be back!

...WITH WEAPONS. *dies*
Durin was closing in on Artholath, he estimated that he was less than 30 paces away by now. If he had a bow, the magic user would be easy pickings, but conversely, he would have to stay in his effective range. No, his patience would have to stay firm. This was easily the better option. Durin's mark may be concealing a dagger or something that would make getting in too close dangerous. With a spear Durin could at the same time engage in melee and outspace his target.

Even still, Durin keeps his shield up as he turns the corner. If the thing in front of him decided to turn around and blast him, doing so after turning a corner like this would be the best opportunity, since it would be hidden from both Durin and anybody in the public eye. A good sturdy shield would better protect him than that guard with the icicle in his chest behind. The Dwarf could have probably charged and impaled the mage before he turned around at his current distance even with his short arms and legs, but he decided to wait until he was roughly 15 paces away. It's still too risky from here.

@ArenaSnow
@ArenaSnow Awesome. Time to post.
@ArenaSnow About how far away is Durin from Artholath?
I'll finish her tomorrow.
