Well it appeared that the elf musician had made it back to the campsite unscathed, if perhaps looking more somber than she did when she left. And she had made it back relatively quickly, so it was a good thing overall. During her travel in these part of the woods as a bear, she didn't see anything particularly dangerous in terms of wildlife, but she was a bear, and you never know what might be lurking beyond the next hill in areas you're unfamiliar with. Also there were potentially hostile orcs too. Running into them would probably end badly for Sona as well.
She did feel a bit bad for Sona, getting chewed out by Kyra as if she were her mum. It was rather embarrassing actually, but Cyneburg stayed quiet. Let the people quibble among themselves, it'll work itself out eventually.
The cook called out for everyone to set up shifts for night watch, citing the fact that they were in hostile lands and there was somebody out there who knew exactly where they were. Perhaps a scout for the orcish camp? Sona volunteered for a shift as did Kyra, specifying she wanted the last shift. Cyneburg raised her hand.
"If you'll have me, I'll take the shift in the dead of night. I have some skills suitable for watching dark areas of wilderness. It'll be part of repayment for the meal you've given me." The skill she specifically had in mind was turning into something with better senses than most humanoids, like an owl, but she decided to omit that part until it would become relevant. She didn't expect to be taken up on it because she was a foreign factor in hostile lands, but it never hurt to try.
