Oh @FantasyChic, did you mean to call Genevieve "Josephine" in your last post?
Will post after work

Location: The Kitchen

Lionel shot a look over at Atticus for his remarks about them being in dire need for help. Of course he was completely right about that, but you weren't supposed to just come out and say it. You had to soften it up, make them want to help you out without putting yourself in the vulnerable position of the other party knowing you needed help. That's how you end up getting ripped off. Whatever, Gene was going to help out anyways, so what did it matter in this case. That said, Lionel made a mental note in his head to not attempt negotiations with the preacher any time soon. And Gene went for the cleaning supplies, meaning that he would have to take care of the remainder of the cooking himself. The old man took in a deep breath and steeled himself for war. Time to get it over with already. Worst comes to worst, at least there'll still be tons more meat for later meals.

Carla Lobo

Location: Med Bay

Carla wasn't really surprised at Jahosafat's reaction to the story, after all if you take away all the fanciful dressings of "survival mission on a wild jungle planet forced upon children by a shadow mercenary organization" the story simply boiled down to "I tripped and fell in a bad place at a bad time." The set up for the story made it out like it would be more than it was. The blood drawn, Carla rolled her sleeve back, hiding the burn scar in question before she stood up, slightly wobbly from the blood loss. She wasn't really sure what to do next, but her mission was to provide security for the doctor, so she supposed staying where she was would probably be the best choice for the moment.
Waiting for @FantasyChic to post (On Day 7 now btw) before going with Lionel. Carla post to come at some point, with tomorrow at the latest.

"Nah, peanut M&Ms are too irregular. Would too obviously detract from the pill analogy. I guess I'll need an alternate schtick for drawing in more people anyway." Mali stepped into Relic's car, placing Peyton's police file on top of the dashboard after buckling up. Her first thought was to stick it into the glove compartment, but she still didn't know him Relic, and who knows what sort of crazy technical bullshit might be inside there. Best to avoid looking through his stuff, even unintentionally.

"I got to... observe Detective Roy on the night of Danica's murder. I got to see how he treated his subordinates. He seemed like a pretty stern guy who actually made sure work got done. There's always the possibility of the cover up coming from higher up on the chain of command, but you're right as far as not being able to trust his integrity as far as how this case will be handled." Mali leaned back in the car seat. She hadn't actually been to the Deadlight District before. She'd been through it on several occasions, but this would be her first time really being there. Sure she'd her fair share of hanging around on the lawless side of things, and she knew what to expect and how to act, but still, the idea of being in the seediest part of the seediest city in the country didn't sit well with the inner Suburbanite good girl she had been raised up to be. That uncomfortable feeling was just something she'd need to get over.
Well the Guild time tracking likes to jump the gun. We won't actually be at the year mark for another 19 days. That said, there's no reason to believe the RP will just curl up and die before that point.
@The Grey Dust You're up.
Cyneburg

Location: Orc Camp
Interacting with: Not a relevant section atm

Cyneburg was not an avid dreamer. Most nights sleep were brief trips down into the depths of a bottomless abyss of nothingness. An experience in cessation only interrupted by opening her eyes and realizing she was awake once again. In that respect, tonight wasn't any different on her end. Unfortunately, her body decided it would have an extra difficult time reacting to any outside stimuli. Generally such a behavior led to the organism in question being removed from the gene pool, and considering the circumstances, that could very well be the case this time.

Cyne didn't know what caused her to finally surface from the depths of the nocturnal void. It wasn't the shouting from any of the party members, nor the mysterious laughter coming from the woods, it might not even have been from the sounds of battle. Maybe it was merely the rattling of bones finally stirring her subconscious. Whatever the case, she somehow did not feel the least bit of surprise when she looked up from the ground to find most everyone else in some state of readiness going forward to attack a bunch of skeletons.

Well, it was a good thing she decided to conserve one of her wild shapes, she had an option that could do well against an enemy such as this. The druid pressed her palms flat against the ground on either side of her chest, as if to push herself up off from a laying position. This was what occurred, but it was a relatively minor action compared to what was occurring with the rest of her form. The limbs shortened while her torso stretched and added stones worth of bulk. Nails lengthened into claws and skin hardened to scales. When the druid's body lifted off the mud, it had completed its transformation into a fierce reptile, one that could be called a distant relative of dragons by more uneducated folks, but was more accurately known as a crocodile.

Looking around, the crocodile spotted Satilla and dashed towards her. Sure smashing skeletons was a powerful urge the reptile brain had, but the higher reasoning of the druid knew that if something bad went down, it would pay to make sure the healer had protection. Her wellbeing was the wellbeing of the whole party. Hopefully the witch would catch on who the big reptile was and not freak out more than she already was about the skeletons.
